@@homelesshendrix Thank you Randy. I throughly enjoyed it ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is to Randy, you might remember me , In the 80’s you were playing many venues in Southern California , Golden Bear ,Hollywood Bowl ,Roxy and a small club in garden grove , were you expressed your anger at I think it was Ronny James Dio how he played first to open the show and you played second , you brought a hat that a fan of Dio made and brought it to the garden grove venue and smashed it up, shoved yourguitar thru the ceiling, I got that hat and had you signed if for me at the golden bear when I went back stage to smoke a joint with you. O yeh I was guy who always had a joint lit for you during the shows I went to! Great to see you doing so well!
Do you need the GM800 for this? Can you just go straight GK3 pick up to SY1000 to MIDI out to computer?
Yes, the GK3 pickup is 13-pin and compatible with the SY1000, but the GK5 pickup I have is 1/4 inch TRS, so you have to have the GKC-DA converter box to use a GK5 with an SY1000 because the SY1000 only takes 13-pin. So no, you don't need the GM800 with the GK5, you just need the GKC-DA converter.
Imagine Randy in your house!
I remember seeing you back then at clubs in Seattle area. Always knew you'd make it huge. 💜
that fucking badass shit there! wow fucking killier............
ESP necks are like that very thin, the old 70's bullet truss rod Strats and tele's (custom, thinline, deluxe) were very thin also..if you look at pics of Jimi he eventually moves to maple njecks and the large headstocks and bullet truss rods, RIchie Blackmore favored these as Trower does too... I also played a 74 maple Tele Custom neck (not a custom tele) on a 1980 Strat body and all stock hardware, played that for 35+ years
Randy is great..
The tone of that Fender is something else !
Just curious, but did anyone else notice that Randy sounds just like Tom Petty when Tom was being interviewed??
The Best!
I am surprised that he started doing this in 75, I remember hearing him play in Apocalypse Now, but I didn't know it was him. I said to myself, that sounds like Hendrix, but at the time I thought maybe it was Robin Trower,
Is that Ranier beer on the table??? Yall must be in WA... haaaa
We are in Tacoma
Randy is off the charts
This guy looks like Tom Petty and Dave Grohl's half brother
Saw him play 40 years ago did a double show. Was like seeing jimi.
That is the best cover of Bold as Love I have ever heard.
Thank You Randy Hansen, You bring Jimi Hendrix to today´s people, strange beautiful, THANK YOU SIR!
I saw this guy in Minneapolis in the winter of 1980 and was so impressed I know showing my age
Hey Randy... Miss ya brother! ❤️🤘🏼😎🎸
Saw Randy several times in the 1980/81 timeframe in Hollywood, California. He played the Whiskey-A-Go-Go a lot back then. One show in particular blew my mind. It was epic. At the end of the show the crowd held-up his cord (pre-wireless days) and he ran out onto Sunset Blvd playing and freaking a lot of drivers out! He also would climb one of the posts in the Whiskey up to the 2nd-floor part of the club, all-the-while playing. Epic.
I saw Randy go outside the Golden Bear club in Huntington Beach. I cannot imagine what the people driving their cars on PCH thought. Also, an epic show that I’ll never forget. My ears are still ringing to this day …
Randy is jamming in his own house?
No, that's Lightening Boldt Studios, home of Billy Boldt's Thrash Zone, Streaming Radio Show.
THANK YOU ! In solidarity with the fighters for peace, love, freedom, justice and truth, we express our feelings with music on our channel. Greetings from Germany, CLUB OF THE UNCENSORED POETS
I saw The Jimi Hendrix Experience at Maple Leaf Gardens and began playing professionally two years later, losing my trumpet and violin. As far as Randy saying he started in 1975, I can say I never heard a band play a Hendrix song at that time. Show-bands would feature me, but that wasn't doing a Hendrix song, just doing Hendrix moves and making sounds with the guitar for a few minutes.
When I'm jamming Third Stone From The Sun I like to get into the riff from "Giant Steps" by John Coltrane.
I always say, "I might not be able to play anything over Giant Steps, but I can play Giant Steps over anything."
He's no Robin Trower! Trower is the best electric guitar player that ever lived. No one comes close.
not a chance
Amazing, well done Randy!!!👍🤘🎸🌵
Randy is awesome!
Randy there is no one that plays Hendrix like you bro, you are an incredible player thank you bro
Interesting to see the chords played for the song , ANGEL .
Randy is especially good at blues type playing , like HEAR MY TRAIN .
Cool guy, great guitarist. Peace
Champagne And Cocaine!
Great Randy!
Love you randy...he the blue wild angel 😇 I can't believe it's not hendrix😅 I love seeing randy pull the tricks out the bag like tossing the pick up bouncing it off the back of his wrist and catching it all while playing.....
Randy's tone is always impeccable, chops for days !
Ee dont need to see your face show the guitar neck
Saw Randy at the Tower Theater in Philly in the 80's, great show.
After Jimi…. Randy is Robin… for a little bit of sympathy in a black sabbath with Ozzie and Tommy
Great tribute to RT!
I recognized A riff from a Johnny Q Public song called "Body Be" at 4:34 🙂
Randy is as cool as cool can be. Freeezin' cool!!
Hello you there Dion Tillman here, wow people you don't even know, are some best players ❤❤❤
