We've reached the point when Arnel has been with Journey longer than Steve was with Journey. There is capacity and love enough in the world to hold both with this simple concept: this is is what Journey was and is. It's hard to let go - something that changes will always feel "new" due to our perception of time and importance. None of that matters. Only the music and its place in our lives matters.

Pineda is a great singer, but doesn't embody the Journeysongs. He tries to stretch them up, loss of timing as a result. To much of him trying to bend this song to something that isn't his and never will be...Like Adam Lambert trying to sing Queen songs by overdueing Freddy. Just don't

Even though Pineda is an amazing vocalist, a part of me would still love to hear Steve Perry's take on this particular song along with "Don't Stop Believing" along with the band. Man I don't care what agreements were made or whatever the paper says, I'd love to watch the band with him featured atleast in one or both of the songs.

Not even close to Steve Perry, he trys to put his own flair on it and just doesn't hit the mark. I would be okay if it was a journey cover band but real journey no way. Just type Journey into RUclips, all of teh Steve Perry videos come up he sounds way better. I love the feel-good story of Arnel but not even close in vocal skills.

He is no average singer for sure but it's been like over 10 years at least since i heard him perform this song and he's lost at least a step The excitement is well toned down But i guess that happens over time

Saw Journey perform in Toronto last night 50,000 people! So good,,Arnel at 56 years old, voice phenomenal,,the were better tgan Def Leppard. Arnel sings high tenor to soprano range. Joe Elliot always goes into a falsetto scream. No comparison.
