I have a remarkable solution to the upgrade system, revert to star system. the 2nd and 3rd star adds one or two of the weapons attributes (except scopes). Meaningful upgrades, with none of this grade/rarity nonsense. though the devs would have to REBALANCE to make sure EVERY weapon has a usable niche or good damage, and afaik management won't allow it.
