to me, this sounds like someone's thoughts prior to suicide. let me explain the vocals from 1:27 to 1:36 are them talking to themselves and sort of venting to the sky. the build up from 1:39 to 2:25 are the battle between the will and want to push through and survive and the need for death. the will to live is symbolized by the higher pitched ethereal pad in the background, the need for death is symbolized by the screams and lower pitched pad, the drums represent indecision. the cut in of vocals at 2:24 represents the negative thoughts winning and their final decision to jump, and right before the vocal line you can hear the drums that represent indecision fade out, signifying that they are commited and will not turn back. the instrumental from 2:27 to 3:13, right before the vocals come back, is the fall, its fast, but it feels like forever. when the vocals come back, that represents the flashbacks and memories. both positive and negative. at 4:06, you can faintly hear some incoherent rambling (much easier to hear in the original), that is representative of regret. the last second panic, the realization of what they just did, that they cant go back, and that this, truly is, the end.
