@@sergeshaliga242 у меня обычным не получается,ровно не идёт полоска,никак не отрегулировать толщину,ещё и тянется сильно клей,думаю купить получше...может где температуру можно регулировать,соответственно и скорость поступления клея

Look for crackle paint or crackle glaze, both give the same effect :)

As a fine artist painter, and having made and installed signs for over a decade as a day job working with all types of material. I know a number of ways how. But that’ll cost you about $1000 for that particular knowledge. $5000 if you’d like a a few classes about different solvents solute, types of paint and how different materials react. Which is very cheap considering the time, energy, and money it costed me.

I don't know what it is called in English but in Spanish it is called "betún de judea", we use simple oil paint to create that vintage effect, the surface must be properly sealed with vinyl sealer. We are mask makers from México.

We call it stuco in Italian. This a silicone material that hardens on the air. This is not hot glue.

Most venetian mask makers use 'carta lana' which translates to 'wool paper'. Carta lana is pretty hard to get outside Italy, gladly someone found the same product, but with a different name that is available in most countries www.papiermache.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?id=3479

It’s not Carta Lana, it’s paper-mâché, and it’s pretty easy to get, or you can even do it yourself. The technic and materials will define its texture and colour. Just google how you can do it or get it from an art store or something like that. Carta Lana is made out of cotton, as far as I know.

Unbelievable, right. The golden or silver leaf applied immediately while a hot glue is still hot.

⁠@@Magicofveneziabut back then we never had hot glue gun in the past traditionaly but now sence it’s invented others trying to use it in mask .

The brown paint you referring to is a special wax that mask makers use for aging. They don't reveal their secret formula, however you can try to use a gel wood stain instead. It will make the same aging effect. Please note that we sell blank masks if you want to decorate your own. Hope it helps.

In another video about making Venetian masks ( ruclips.net/video/191gk94ubzct/видео.htmlhe ) the maskmaker told they use bitumen to give the mask an antique effect 😃
