Great video. I'm curious why you used the hand pump on the winterizing outlet? It seems that since you are putting antifreeze from the hose, it's a duplication of effort.
I used the hand pump on the black tank flush connection. There is a back flow preventer valve made of plastic up under the sink. I want to make sure to push all the water out and protect it with antifreeze. Appreciate you watching & commenting.
Can you permanently mount a tv in the back bed where the outlets are? What is the weight limit per bed?
Helpful but we have Irvine shades and there’s no clear knob. Both are black. 😢. Our blinds won’t stay down. Is the fix the same?
This is the fix for the Irvine shades. Appreciate you watching.
This is a super helpful and very well done video - as always! Thank you - you helped me solve my own problem. Well, at least my problem with one of our new blinds. Very thorough and useful explanation.
A wise man once said, it’s best to be prepared and not go in Blind when fixing a Blind. Glad this helped, thanks for the kind comments my wise friend.
I’ll be looking for the 2104s sometime this year. Absolutely love the layout!
@@tmise50 it’s a nice layout, Murphy Bed opens up the floor space. Happy Shopping!
Missed the begining of this. Did you clip it
@@michaelkozic4146 yes, I created a short from a longer video. Click created from.. it will take you to the video. Appreciate you watching..
There are a lot of problems here! First your camper IS designed to carry fresh water in its fresh water tank! I can not believe you even said that! Second like others have said, cross your chains. Third, with all the water in the back of the truck AND the trailer connected, you will be over weight!
Our 53 gallon fresh water tank is at the very front of the trailer. You can fill it up and drive around at the campground & locally. But on a long trip with our bumpy roads, not a good idea. On this trip I had a shit ton of stuff in the forward storage compartment. I didn't want the added tongue weight. Our trailer tongue weight is already around 1,000 Ibs depending on load. CCC of trailer is 1,600 lbs.Payload in my truck is 3,394 Ibs. we have plenty of capacity in the truck not the RV. Another big advantage is if we run out of water during our travels I can easily drive the truck around and replenish. We usually have the chains crossed, correct I screwed up. Appreciate you watching & commenting!
We have stayed there twice. Great view of the Mighty Mac bridge. Nice bike trail across the road, rails to trails.
Yes, we really enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to a return trip. Appreciate you watching & commenting!
Pointless. The trailer has a clean water tank. You need more water? Buy a bigger tank. Next most obvious option would be to put one on the front hitch of the trailer final option would be to take up secured space in my truck bed.
@@onslaughter3066 I didn’t want the added tongue weight. Our trailer tongue weight is already around 1,000 lbs depending on load. Payload in my truck is 3,394 lbs. we have plenty of room for stuff. The big advantage is if we run out of water during our travels I can easily drive the truck around and replenish. Appreciate you watching & commenting!
Recently purchased a Mini Lite 2109s, although this is very interesting to watch, I can't be the only one concerned with the speed they move at and apparent lack of concern for precision. They are literally slamming these units together. The actual cost per unit I bet is much less than what people would guess. He also mentioned TPO roof membrane, I thought they used EPDM? Also said you only have to wash it and check it every 6 months. Curious if you have a roof claim what they would require for the "lifetime" warranty to apply. I feel our trailer is fairly well made but this video concerned me vs giving me comfort.
@@714racer don’t be concerned about how quickly they move, The crew does a great job with assembly. In fact, we are hoping to trade up for the 2025 2618RD in the spring. Rockwood Flagstaff for the past couple years has been using a TPO roof membrane with a .045” thickness the material itself is warranted for life, you still need to have a look every 6 moths or so to check sealant. With our 2020 2205S I go up and wash the roof every second time I wash the outside. Also, I only use blue dawn liquid dish soap. Appreciate you watching and commenting!
Thanks for taking time to reply, do you know what year they switched to TPO? I have a 2023.
Nice idea
Thanks, glad you liked it! Appreciate you watching & commenting.

@@Suly271 Thanks! Appreciate you watching & commenting
Thats wild its not designed to carry water on a trip. What a pos
Full capacity water 53 gallons adds tongue weight. For a long trip, Figured I would keep all of that load in the truck. Plus it eats up RV CCC (Cargo carrying capacity) hauling all that water..
Poor pump. It's doin alot of work to suck that water from all the way over there :(
Not really, the pump only has to suck water from directly below the hookup to about the height of my truck on the hose. Gravity is our friend 😜
Whaaaaat!

Excellent de-winterizing videos, thank you! I have a 2025 Flagstaff 22FBS, a younger sibling to your Belle, and have not de-winterized it yet but I love how you do yours and plan on following your processes. Since this video is 2 years old, are there any steps or processes you have changed or improved on?
I haven't changed my process much, except for the water heater I use 2 gallons of vinegar and top it off with water. pure vinegar is too much. I appreciate you watching and commenting.
@@TNTRVing Thanks for such a quick response! Anxiously awaiting camping season!!
@ us too!
That trucks got to be close to its gross weight, specially being a bumper pull
Max Payload of our gas GMC 2500 truck is 3,394 lbs. We have plenty of capacity. appreciate you watching and commenting.
@TNTRVing thats what I was figuring somewhere around there, but how much is the camper weighing fully load, with the extra weight of the water tank?
The GVWR of the trailer is 6,690 lbs. that includes the max cargo capacity of 1,665 lbs. So if I added 53 gallons of water @ 8.3 lbs per gallon in the RV fresh water tank that takes away 440 lbs. from my cargo capacity. We did not stop off at the CAT scales on this trip so I cannot give you an exact weight when we were fully loaded. Appreciate you watching & commenting.
Yeah I have never heard of any camper saying they don’t want water in the tank for a long drive😂😂😂 also, weight in your bed is TONGUE weight…. You’re just doing extra work for no reason guy!
The tongue weight of our trailer is around 1,000 lbs. adding another 500 plus lbs towards the front of the RV in my opinion is going to raise it significantly. I prefer to have that 500 plus lbs of water more centered in our tow vehicle. Appreciate you watching and commenting.
Why would they design a camper with running water yet you can't go down the street with water
You can travel with water in the RV holding tank, but the tongue weight is already around 1,000 lbs. I don't feel comfortable adding all that weight to the front of our RV. and traveling. Appreciate you watching & commenting.
@@TNTRVing thank you for answering my question I appreciate that
You're supposed to cross your chains in case you have a ball disconnect while in transit. This way, the chains can catch the trailers tongue.
You can get a ticket for not crossing the chains in my state
You are correct, we normally do cross them. Great catch, appreciate you watching & commenting.
Not in every state. Some trailers have chains too short to cross
@justink9912 even if it's not a law and it's still good practice. I have come across trailers with chains that are too short to cross but before I use that trailer I go out and get longer chains
@SPIKESTRIPMEDIA lol okay bud. Been using the same trailer for 10 yrs same chains. I haul boat lifts and never had a problem except with chains that are too long and an inexperienced kid is more dangerous
Ya don’t put water it the water tanks for gods sake ! WTF ? 😂
Our tongue weight is already around 1,000 lbs. I prefer to keep the additional weight in the truck on all days not just Wednesday's Thursday's Friday's. Appreciate you watching and commenting. :-)
Awesome channel great video keep them up please like and subscribe thank you for your support
I've stayed there a lot did you guys like your stay there.
Yes, We had a great time. We both agree that we would return. Appreciate you watching and commenting.
If you have the supply tank vented you will have better water pressure.👍
The top white hose is vented, I didn’t do a go job pointing it out. Appreciate you watching & commenting!
Oh. Threw the antifreeze line, great idea.
@@rmallea1 yes, turn the valve inside and utilize the internal pump. Easy Peezy lemon squeezy.
@@TNTRVing so you’re drinking water out of an Antifreeze pump???
@ The pump we are using is the internal RV Pump. Same pump used to pump water from the internal fresh water tank. The hook up I used is where you can draw RV antifreeze in from a jug when you winterize your RV. I simply turn a valve inside the RV to utilize the onboard pump. The whole system is sanitized prior to the start of camping season. Appreciate you watching & commenting.
@@TNTRVing that’s better
Is water pressure an issue, and also there’s no reason to bypass any outlets. Thanks for sharing
We have been at campgrounds where the water pressure has been in the 80 psi range. If you didn’t install a water pressure regulator at the pedestal, you would have issues in any RV plumbing system. We usually set our regulator to 40- 42 psi to be safe. Thanks for watching..
That’s a great idea! It’s a much better to carry that weight in the truck than close to the tongue of your camper.
I’d also really like to see the tank you are using.
It sure is! Appreciate you watching & commenting.
Here is a link to the video I made about the tank and how I installed it. ruclips.net/video/FvxPs638OpA/видео.htmlsi=xYqyoG7sgFhFpI7x
@ awesome. I’m a new subscriber from the video you made highlighting plumbing on the Rockwood 2025 trailers. That has been a frustration for me dealing with improper connections leaking in our current trailer. Appreciate you linking me to that tank installation. I’ll check it out.
@@Buck0sevenwe really appreciate the support! Thanks a bunch!
Why do you not tow with water in the tank, I thought you added support straps to the tank?
If we are traveling short distances I will put 25 gallons in the freshwater tank to use for pit stops. If we are at a state park with no water hookup I will fill the tank. (love my strap mod still) On this trip, it was a long drive. We stopped off at a couple harvest host stops and didn’t disconnect the truck. I like the idea of less tongue weight. I like where the tank sits in the truck, the weight isn’t noticeable when driving. appreciate you watching and commenting.
Do you still use this rack? When looking for one they seem to say that they dont work on travel trailers. Something about the vibrations causing the metal to break after time?
We still use ours regularly and have had great luck with it. That is correct about the shock & vibrations on the back of other travel trailers. Fortunately, we have a Rockwood that comes standard with torsion suspension, nice and smooth. Appreciate you watching and commenting.
i think these are good but you have to consider The increased crank case pressure and the designed oil circulation of the engine and the long-term effect it can have the vented catch can is the way to go To keep normal crank pressure but they can't sell that Because it's not "legal" Therefore you have to buy one that is "off-road"
Agree that keeping crankcase pressure normal is essential, and the vented catch can is a great way to do that, except for the obvious pollution. I ended up removing this after a while, as I didn't want to have any issues while under warranty. It certainly removed moisture and oil from the vent. Thanks for watching!
@ look into the active two stage all separator catch can 32-106BLK by motion race works The owner of Wide Open performance had this brand on all of his cars at a car show yesterday Said they were great

Always be sure to use a water pressure regulator. Also, we have installed moisture sensors under the plumbing, we highly recommend doing so. I also replace plumbing end seals on the fixtures as well I have a link in our Amazon store under plumbing. We have been fortunate our issues have been minor.

I'm just starting to research the propane system on my travel trailer. Do you think this Gas Stop gadget would eliminate the need for a propane leak drop test? Would you recommend spending the money on this rather than a manometer? What happens the the reading on the GS when your gas tank is only half full, for example?
It’s always better to follow manufacturers recommendations on testing propane system. That said, I like the gas stop as you do not need to plumb it into the system as you would with the manometer. Gas Stop is always attached and you can test your system whenever you want. When the tank is half full the Gas Stop gauge is not that accurate, it’s more of a pressure gauge. I paid for the Gas Stop out of pocket and received the braided lines in exchange for the review, I would purchase one again. Appreciate you watching & commenting.
@@TNTRVing thanks for the quick response. I'm going to add this to our rig so that we can add it to our packing and set up protocols to check our LPG pressure each time we take a trip. I'd love to be able to know if we have a leak before we head out so we're not dry camping without propane, especially in the winter when our temps are below 32 sometimes and we need to keep the water lines warm with the propane heater blowing. I won't die from a cold shower but I would be sorely inconvenienced if I had a water line pop on me. Prevention, ya!
Hello, does anyone else have condensation running down the front windshield onto the trim around the glass. Put a dehumidifier on the countertop. It happens in cool weather . I don’t have the issues with the other windows. When it rains it doesn’t drip down the windshield.
We have condensation on most windows when it’s cold, we usually towel them down after showering.
Take out the outside kitchen and put washer/dryer hook ups with access from the bathroom and it's perfect. Outside kitchen is a waste of space.
I’m not a big fan of outside kitchens, washer & dryer would be nice.
Ok. On the holding tanks. If fluid can make it down to the dump valves. What keeps the fluid behind the dump valves from freazing. The primary dump valves need to be inclosed.
The dump valves have heat pads on the outlets & under the tank. The issue for freezing weather is the low point drains & outdoor shower. That’s why they are considered three season campers. Thanks for watching & commenting.
Only has two seatbelts in back. You did not mention generator. There is also a cassette toilet option that makes more sense. There should be a rear tv, wifi extender

I love it, but I would much rather have a backsplash then have the window behind the counter. It would be nice if you could get custom order without that window, just saying.
We understand, a backsplash would be a great addition to the kitchen!
Can I use the easy start with a window unit 15k btu?
You probably can use it, the only concern is the wiring diagram they provide is for RV AC units. Look up Hutch Mountain Micro Air Easy Start. Give them a call and tell them what AC unit you have. Appreciate you watching & commenting. Best of luck!
I believe your one of the couples we spoke to at the RV Museum. We didnt make it to Mackinaw but are planning a return trip to Indiana/Michigan and maybe ourchasing new camper in Indiana in April/May.
It’s amazing how small the world can be! Maybe we’ll see you there in May.
@TNTRVing we were so tempted but reality set in for the timing. Then we went to dealerships and realized campers in Indiana are considerably lower cost than in our home state so a return trip def seems likely
