There’s an old movie called The Stuntman with Peter O’toole and Barbra Hershey that reminded me more of this. I don’t remember the main actor who played The Stuntman. I remember liking it a lot. Not sure if it would have withstood the test of time. It’s been decades.

Title goes without saying, everything about that movie sucks. IMO, best of the original series is 6.
