All the other translations say the opposite, "...the rest of mankind...did not repent..."

The Jewish day begins at dusk. So, if evening was approaching and darkness was arriving, it would have technically been Sunday since Sunday would begin at dusk, the evening of Saturday. So it still would have been on Sunday, but technically Saturday night, which was when Sunday began.

Am I the only one to notice that when you're discussing Mat 27:62 from the Cochin manuscript, it clearly says "his burial occurred on day six". The Jews had no names for the week days, except the Sabbath, on day 7. Our Sunday was their first day of the week, and Friday was their sixth day. So, the Cochin CONFIRMS the traditional Friday burial, before the end of the sixth day. Another error you make is that you do not take into account how Jews counted inclusively. Friday was the first day of these events, Saturday the second, and Sunday the third. The Emmaus travellers said on a Sunday, that it was the third day since these events had started. And Jesus said he would rise on the THIRD day, which is impossible with a counting of 3 full days and nights. When you look up other passages in the OT, you find that Esther and David and his men also used inclusive counting and that their "three days and nights" was clearly an idiom, because Esther went to see the king on the third day, not the fourth, as would have been the case if the idiom was taken literal. You need to consider it in the context of Jewish culture, thought and idiom, from the rest of the Bible, not as a mathematical formula according modern standard of counting...

Word in the ‘hood is that scrolls with more than one seal are opened, written on, and sealed; written on, rolled some more, and sealed again; on and on until the final sealed is applied. Rev. 10:1 refers to Yeshua. In the Old and New Testaments, the Son of God is often called the Messenger. This is also called the "Pre-existence of Christ". Okay, if you go and draw out Moses’ time line of going out of Egypt, they came out on the eve of the 15 th day, of the 1st month, the 16th would be the first day of the week. It wasn’t called Sunday. The quail came on the eve of the 15 th day of the 2nd month, and the manna come on the 16 th day , the 1st day of the week. The next Sabbath would be the 22 nd day. In the 3rd month on the same day they left Egypt, the 15 th day of the 3 month, the Children were gathered. Messiah arose on the 16 th . Each Hebrew letter should only have one pronunciation. Pronunciation should not change when letter is used in various words. Remaining one agreed upon sound for each script. Whether combined resulting in two sounds, or having only one sound heard. Also, is there a single Hebrew letter that can be pronounced as English's letters, 'o', 'v' and 'w'? Our Father is not the Author of confusion. He is Pure Spirit. Names have meanings. His Name is Pure Spirit. Vowels are 'breathed'. English has: A, E, I, O, U and sometimes, Y.
