Spaz vs. Delta - My Kitten's First Experience With Running Water

My ferocious new kitten, SPAZ, takes on a running Delta water faucet for the first time. Guess who wins? If you have 12 minutes of a work day to waste or just like a cute and lovable kitty, this is mildly amusing. I shot this with a Panasonic SDR-H60P SD Card/Hard Disk Video Camera on 11-24-2015

Perfect Annular Solar Eclipse 5-10-1994 In Gravois Mills, Missouri USA
Просмотров 2458 лет назад
I photographed this annular solar eclipse with a Canon HC-60 utilizing a special Kodak filter on May 10, 1994 at the Lake of the Ozarks. It was a decent camcorder in it's day and used Sony Video8 cassettes. This rare occurrence happens when the Sun and Moon are exactly in line, but the apparent size of the Moon is smaller than that of the Sun. That's a Johnny Cash Ring of Fire!
Gravois Mills MO House That Burned To The Ground In 2011

This is the final video I have of the Lake of the Ozarks house that had been in the family since 1958 before I sold it around 15 years ago. Two lake houses was one too many anyway, so I sold it. I have several old 8mm home movies on my channel of it dating from 1958 through the 1960's. It burned down July 22, 2011 at 14514 Keepsake Road (Lake Road 5-18) in Gravois Mills, MO and this is the arti...
Flooding Rain At The Lake of the Ozarks Near Gravois Mills MO
Просмотров 3438 лет назад
On July 6, 1993 we had some serious rains at the LOTO in central Missouri. There was no way to stop the torrential flow and everyone suffered damage as a result. These shots are in the Soap Creek arm of the Gravois Channel across the cove from the old Wulff Harbor Resort on Lake Road 5-18 a couple of miles south of Gravois Mills, MO. The lake cabin shown burned down on July 22, 2011 many years ...

OMG, I totally forgot about that covered-walkway thing with the ferns hanging from it (3:16) until just now! We used to go to Six Flags STL many times a summer from the mid '70s to early '80s and that covered walkway was the spot my mom would set up for my best friend and I to meet her, after she let us run loose through the park like the carefree kids we were back then. And I can still clearly remember the walkways, benches and even the trash cans looking like they do at around 3:52 in this video. Thank you so much for posting this and allowing me to relive some irreplaceable memories!

I remember Wulff Harbor. And Marker's store, the Squirrel House, Delbert Cross's rock shop, Jacob's Cave and the Mystery House, and summer nights on the bleachers at the little old drive-in theater in the woods. My family's cabin was back in a holler well past the lake end of TT at Jeff's Anchorage, upstream from the northern-most cove on the Little Gravois arm.

Great pictures! My first trip to Worlds of Fun as a kid was 1978. I remember the Barnstormer, Zambezi Zinger, Schussboomer, Screamroller, Octopus (when it was located where the Bamboozler is now), Viking Voyage and others you have here. Of course to chillout, the ones to go to were the taxis and the train ride. And I loved the Skipper and Dolly dolphin show, where Spinning Dragons is today.

I was born the year Silver Dollar City opened. My Grandpa worked there in the 60s. He did painting, carpentering and sign painting. He helped build the treehouse among other things at the park. I miss the treehouse most, probably because I could walk through and see things he helped build. He has been gone since 1977. The year these pics were taken I auditioned to be a performer there. I did not get the job but still think it would be a lot of fun. When I was a girl we got in free because Grandpa worked there but then it was just a train ride, stagecoach ride, shops and crafters. I was at SDC yesterday with one of my Grandkids. I am taking each one with me this summer on a trip there to have a day with Nana. It is lots of fun taking them to a place that has been a part of my entire life.

You indeed toured the inside of a Trans World Airlines Lockheed 1049G Super "G" Connie (note the "Super G" title on the lower right rudder). Other aircraft seen in your vintage film include a Braniff Convair 340 and a United Boeing 720 (can't tell whose Douglas DC-3 that is landing). Now that was a terrific field trip for everyone and thanks for sharing!

I see Conrad's little face and that onry grin on his face. Lovely to see him during his childhood years. Watching him on his bicycle gives a person a glimpse into his love of riding his motorcycle. These pictures are real treasures. God bless you and yours. Conrad is Gone too young and too soon, so sad. Are his parents still alive? Did he have siblings?
