@hebrewhammershabbat why do you think i said sometimes. key word sometimes. and for a HBCU band this is perfect. and with a band of this size of course they are going to have problems with balance but i would like to see a drum corps play with the same volume that BCU plays with and still have a nice clean and balanced sound. i like DCI to but only the drumlines since im a drummer

@JSUTrumpet im not just talking about this clip. look up their florida classic halftime show from this past season. and listen closely to their arrangement of love all over me. and listen to it with headphones on. you will be able to hear everything better

@JSUTrumpet dude BCU sounds like a wind symphony. you cannot get a better sound than that. sometimes they sound better than DCI and thats saying a lot. all the SWAC is good for is being loud and playing whole notes. also SWAC bands dont even challenge themselves and try to go outside the box and play drum corps music like some of the MEAC bands have. just because you can play loud doesnt mean you're good

@JSUTrumpet nothing spetacular? are you serious? they have an amazing sound. and very well balanced which is what a band should have. not trumpets covering the band or btones and tbones and tubas being louder than the rest of the band. that is a no no. a good band has balance and can be heard. BCU and the rest of the MEAC is better than the SWAC as far as sound and marching is concerend. the only thing SWAC has over MEAC really is loudness.

@JSUTrumpet MEAC isnt weak dude. sure they dont blow all the time but thats not their main focus. unlike SWAC they focus more on how they sound which is what a band should do. also when MEAC bands battle its to see who knows the music as well who can play it the best and not the loudest. loud only means you're loud and nothing else. cause as we all know there are bands out there that are loud but still sound terrible.

@Fladdap09 unlike the BOOM and other SWAC bands with the exception of PVAMU and UAPB this band actually plays music instead of blowing the heck out of a song. where's the musicianship in that. yes the BOOM has a good band but when compared to BCU they seem like an over grown high school band. now i like the boom when it comes to halftime shows but that's it.
