Bears we’re in the 2006 SuperBowl that we lost to Indy….

ive been following the Bears closely since about 2000, and really in that 23 year stretch, they've really only had 4 rebuilds, The early 2000s when they drafted Urlacher, Briggs, Tillman, Mike Brown, Tommie Harris. from about 2001-2005 really was the first rebuild. They made it to the super bowl and lost. 2nd rebuild happened under the same Coach, Lovie Smith. They traded for Cutler, signed Brandon Marshall, developed Jeffery and Forte, and still had some leftover defensive pieces from that first rebuild. They managed to get to the NFC championship game, where they lost to the Packers in 2010. 3rd rebuild started after Trestman left in 2014, and John Fox came in. They changed the defense from a 4-3 to a 3-4, drafted guys like Roquan Smith, Mitchell Trubisky, Kyle Fuller, Eddie Goldman, and picked up Aikeem Hicks from the Patriots. That core would come back with the key addition of Kahlil Mack, under Matt Nagy to compile a 12-4 season in 2018. Today we are in the middle of a new rebuild. We have core players in Justin Fields, DJ Moore, Montez Sweat, Tevin Jenkins, Darnell Wright, Braxton Jones, Cole Kmet who can and will be faces of this franchise for the foreseeable future. What appears to be 2 top 5 picks in next year's draft to add to this already talented core. Just because they don't win now, doesn't mean they won't win with this same core within the next 3 years. As much as I don't like coaching, we cant expect a rebuild to take 2 or 3 years when in the past, it's taken at least 3-5 years to build a competitive team around our core players.

Tyson hasn't risen or fallen as the media narrative goes. He is a rookie QB who needs more reps for a conclusive evaluation. If you look at quarterbacks like Peyton Manning's rookie year they were pretty bad, awful actually.

Tyson bagent wasn't supposed to make a roster. Wasn't supposed to be qb2 his rookie year. At this point you have to play him and see where it goes. Justin Fields doesn't have it and it's clear. But Bagent might.
