I feel sorry for the sibblings who are doing the parenting. Their childhood spent being parents for kids they didn't create.

Whilst I love the big families, the amount of money spent on xmas/birthday presents is mind boggling. Kids lose appreciation for things when given too much in one go.

Roy & Emma, I was sorry to hear that you left the church but you are not alone. There are others who have left for the same reason. In a lot of families today there is someone who is Gay & my family is no exception but while many have come to accept the gay life style, according to the Bible, God has not. It clearly states that 2 men or 2 women are not to sleep together. For those who have an attraction to the same sex it can be a very difficult cross to bear but one that God wants them to do. We wouldn’t be lenient of an adult sleeping with a child or a person having sex with a beast but there are people with that inclination. God destroyed Sodom & Gomorrah because of the sexual perversion there. It’s not a coincidence that the one city is called Sodom. As we get closer to the 2nd coming people in the world will become more perverse just as they did in the time of Noah. I know it might seem as though the Church is being unkind toward Gays but they cannot go against the Proclamation of the Family. In all Churches you will hear & see questionable things among members because we are all sinners. Please think about why you joined the Church in the first place? Did you receive a testimony of the Book of Mormon etc.? If so maybe you should rethink your decision. I hate to see you throw the baby out with the bath water. Being a member is a huge responsibility I know & it might feel like a relief to not be going now. I wish you all well. May God be with you.

Good Lord !! How or why would you want so many children?? The Sullivan's are up there in age and still popping them out. I'd be worried about the baby being born with down syndrome. Surprised that the both ladies insides haven't fallen out yet. Different strokes for different folks. I'd definitely be cookoo at this point 🤪

I just want to say that I am very sorry about your negative experiences with the lds church. I belong to the church, and have never heard of the church not talking about sexual abuse/assault. And can you imagine the trauma they inflict on neighbors who may not be able to move away from that chaos? The decisions they make are not just within the house - neighbors, community, planet. Two self-serving, brainwashed adults and the lives they diminish.

Over-burdening the local systems: NHS, school, social services, sewer, water, everything. they can't be paying in enough taxes to support their own kids. Never mind the huge burden on the environment. And the unexplained ones who don't live there any more. Traumatized. The parents must have some kind of a mental issue. Ah, there you have it. Mormons. Having been raised in a large family with multiple siblings I can relate. I have no problem with a lot of kids as long as the parents do not expect the older siblings to pick up the slack and basically care for the younger ones because they are too busy and overwhelmed with having so many. I left home at 16 because I didn't feel that my parents cared one way or the other ... I still to this day think that they were relieved to have one less mouth to feed. Sometimes you just have to accept that our parents did the best they could with what they had at the time. Cultural norms were much different in the 60s and 70s than today. Nowadays kids have more information at their fingertips than is safe if you ask me.
