❤ma shah Allah
Do you know how to recognise male and female flowers as mine seems to produce only males
That is actually shocking news to me as I did not realise that would be the case! I don't know how to recognise that, so I might have to look into it! I have a wonderful variety growing but not flowering yet.
@@theurbanpropagation5685 I've only had 1 fruit on BH in 10y but was amazing. Google flowers as Female is fatter with embryo, they are better in ground I've seen
Ma shah Allah ❤
Interested to know varieties - I have Burst not as big as they say and Kiss which is very large better tasting but Sunshine Blue crops huge amounts soon but a bit later maybe the best taster
Yeah, Sunshine Blue is a great producer, but taste is subjective. I'll go around and film a new video update for you with all the varieties. I have forgotten what I've got 😅 stay tuned.
Great video. Thanks for showing. I ordered my flowhive 2+ 7 frame yesterday and I will be setting it up in my urban backyard in Perth WA. Excited !
Awesome! Hope you're ready for a sweet reward, especially in Perth! You can check out my playlist on beekeeping if you need any insights, and I'm here to help. Follow me on Instagram and DM any questions. Thanks for watching & All the best!
@ Thanks so much! l will definitely be checking out more of your stuff and thanks for reaching out 👍
@@rockliffmt My pleasure mate cheers
That quite normal for Avos
I sure hope so 😂 my oldest bacon avocado is looking burnt thanks to the sun. But I'm also sure I'm under watering them. Need to set up an irrigation system, but I dislike plumbing 😅
@theurbanpropagation5685 I sprayed a product of white kaolin clay called Surround act like a sunblock as a couple Avo leaves got burnt yesterday. Makes em look like Xmas but actually improves growth 🌴
@melbournesubtropicfruits9474 I've got a product from IV Organics, which I painted the plant with while it was young, but I've got to redo it again this season. The plant has tripled since then. That product is pretty good, I've posted a video of if you wanna have a look.
@@theurbanpropagation5685 is it dilute water based ceiling paint? I've used when trees were young and green bark
No, it's a special compound made by a guy in the US, IV Organics. I have a video on that as well. ruclips.net/video/bXADZeYZg84/видео.htmlsi=ZXvAot5Pa6yCwVI1
I got a cheap drip watering system from Bunnings for a hanging wall garden but just put it in my garden it was on sale for $15 plugs directly to your garden tap or try a putting terracotta pot with no drainage hole and fill it with water and cover the top it gives constant water may help? ❤
Thanks for the tip! I've been thinking about setting up a drip irrigation system myself. I've got a pot garden, so almost 100+ pots to be fed, I want to set up my fish farm to water the garden with the filtered waste water. Soon, the video will be up. Stay tuned 😃 Thanks for watching.
I think it needs water more often
I agree! They are pretty thirsty. I'm working on setting up a proper irrigation system. Plumbing is a little complex task. 😅 Thanks for watching!
Very nice technique to repot persimon tree❤
Thank you. This technique is easy and keeps the plant growing stronger. Always only when the top canopy is larger and producing lots of fruits. Otherwise, the plant will focus its energy on producing roots and reduce the canopy growth. Hope it helps.
my brain when hearing Wasabi just decided to think: Tokyo Wabi-Sabi idk why
Hahaha, fair enough. My friends used to call me Wasabi 🤙
Thats a good harvest! I got two plants in my back yard and hoping it goes well. Nice job
Good luck! Ensure the soil is rich in a phosphorus and potassium, not hard and well composed without much earth worms, just enough to maintain nutrients. I recommend growing it inside a greenhouse.
They are not fruit fly, they are a beneficial flying insect.
Thanks for watching. Unfortunately, they are fruit flies who destroy masses of fruits and crops. We in Australia have to control these populations in order to prevent the cycle of destruction. Beneficial insects don't inject their lava eggs into fruits and rot them. :) Disagree with you on that one.
Nice work! I have an r2e2 but I’m yet to get fruit. I’m looking forward to eating delicious r2e2 mangoes like yours.
Thank you, mate. I hope you have good luck and it will be worth it! 😀
Looking good. I'm not sure what the black lining on the leaves is
Hey cheers, mate. I think it's the frigging cold 🥶 or maybe a bit of under watering. Should be alright 👍 winter is truly here, ey!
Congratulations mate! Enjoy with family
Thanks mate, this was the highlight of my season. I am so grateful to God for allowing this! Kept it netter and managed to secure it! I'm hoping for more next season! 🤲
@@theurbanpropagation5685 good on you mate 👏
@UrbanBounty I appreciate your constant support 🙏 Hope you have a blessed season ahead!
Sorry to see that mate!
Thanks mate, luckily the rest managed to survive... but devasted to see how many fruit flies were in the garden this year! We've got to keep the fruits off the ground, net, and manage this. All the markets disposing fruits without proper disposal practice could be a reason for this happening. Infected fruits arrive from QLD n other places, then rot in the open, releasing these pests. Victoria Agriculture is sleeping on it! 😒
@@theurbanpropagation5685 you are spot on. I was just saying the same thing to some mates
they are looking good
Very beautiful colours.. so healthy
So true 🙌 hopefully they all push through more before winter comes 😅
Great tips mate! Thank you 👍
No problem 👍 Hope the garden is looking great! So much to do before winter rolls in!
very helpful information 👍
Thanks, I'm glad it was helpful! 😄🥭
are you able to keep them alive through winter in the greenhouse? or is it doable out in the garden
It depends on the strength of the graft, strain of mango, and the quality of soil through winter it needs well draining n high-quality soil. In the greenhouse, they survive as long as the variety is not extremely tropical, but the end of winter had a dip in temperatures that killed my Palmer & Alphonso mangoes. I'll be trying again with those two. The rest have survived and are doing their best to recover will be doing a video tomorrow on the mangoes. The R2E2 can do well in our Victorian winters. I'm just hoping to keep the fruit safe till autumn.
@@theurbanpropagation5685 thankyou for the reply my friend, im in melbourne myself and your information helps out. ill keep an eye out for the video tomorrow aswell. cheers 👍
My dwarf almond in a pot 6y barely produces 1 or 2 but am waiting for the first of my Pistachios - about 8 first ever crop - easier than almond, ✔️
6 years in a pot sounds unfair for 1 or 2 😕 how big is the pot? Maybe upsize and check how acidic the soil is n fix that and give it a larger amount of compost tea. I get about 3 or 4 if I am lucky, and it's on its 3rd year... I would love to get a pistachio soon 😍 I've got to upsize my almond next year, heavy work. 😅
@@theurbanpropagation5685 seelf fertile Almond is in 450mm pot last 3y - thwy seem to pollinate then they wither and drop off - - i think its a Flemings - i had a plantnet papershell in ground that died - Pistachios need Male and female - i got from Daley's but not cheap
@melbournesubtropicfruits9474 I reckon that's because of low water 💧 and mulch. Might wanna set up drip irrigation. That's the same issue I'm facing, and I'm hoping to have that sorted asap. Inconsistent watering can cost us fruits when container gardening.
@@theurbanpropagation5685 actually i remember reading they like lots water during fruit growing and watered every day just enough to keep moist - fussy trees 😭
Bravo za Australiju, lijep video👍
They are looking strong, id let them get a bit stronger before adding the Flow Super. oh yep just saw your next inspection they look even stronger this is exciting, keep us updated. -Kieran
Thank you for that! Makes me feel secure that you guys are following my journey! I'm so excited to have a flow soon. 😌 I hope you stay tuned for the next update coming soon! 🫶 @flowhive
Awesome! 💚
Thank you 😊
How long before persimmon bear fruits from seeds? Thanks.. 💚
Hey so from fruit it takes upto 10yrs if you're lucky 5 yrs 🤷 it's better to buy grafted varieties. Fruits sooner 😀 hope that helps. 🤍
Id like to set up a hive but it looks like you have to be prepared to expand? How do you keep to one box? Is this your first Flow hive?
Hey bud, nice to hear from you! Yes, you will have to be prepared to expand, especially since they grow quickly when it's a healthy colony. You can either get a temporary box, Hive, and put the swarm in, then get a queen and colonise it, then sell it... or you keep adding a super on top and go higher. But Max I would go is 5 boxes and then will have to strap it down to the ground and maybe add 4 t posts around and secure it as the wind will defo get to it as the Hive goes taller. Yes, boss, my first hive of any kind. I'm a city kid, and I was terrified of bees 😄 now that I feel confident enough to respect them and work with them. It wasn't easy the first 2 times and I'm still coming to terms with the idea that they could sting me on my nose if I don't keep it outta the way hahaha but I highly recommend you get the flow Hive. It makes the work easier and cleaner. But the risk is that in case of any disease, you're going to be losing expensive hives... so God bless us on this journey and keep the colony healthy 🙏 🙌 will be posting another one soon as I see them very actively filling it up today 😀 stay tuned. 💚
Hi, my set up is similar to yours. I started planting and propagating in 2020 when Covid hit and I had lots of time on my hands. It’s now a full blown passion and I want to keep propagating and selling. Glad I found your channel. Just a helpful tip, think about investing in a camera microphone or something that will help with the audio in the future. I can hear you but sometimes you talk too low and it’s difficult to focus on what you’re saying 😊
Hey I truly appreciate your feedback! I have been hoping to get one too hahaha just haven't found the peace of mind to get to that lol I live a quite chaotic life so I am currently making do with whatever I can! But Soon I hope :) That is awesome that it has become your passion! I have been gardening since childhood and it became infectious after covid hahah now I am preparing for summer sale with most of my plants! The La Nina weather event has set the plants back a little and hopefully it warms up soon! Are you from Melbourne? All the best with everything :) Stay safe & Well!
@@theurbanpropagation5685 I’m not in Melbourne but in NY USA. We’re heading into winter now. So I’m busy trying to keep my greenhouse heated and saving my plants in there. I’m doing brassicas on the outside. Keep up the good work and I’m praying that you have peace instead of chaos so you can focus and grow your channel and have great success🙏🏼🙌🏽🎊
@mel nelo oh wow, I'm so glad my channel has reached NY USA. Yes, winters are tough. Melbourne is close to Antarctica, and we get some real cold spells! And it's very wet! Luckily, it doesn't snow! I don't heat my greenhouse. However, I plan on finding the right heater at some point. Thank you so much, very kind of you! I wish you the same! I love sharing my knowledge and skills so people can learn from it long after me 😊 I pray that you have great success and achievements 💚🫶 Kind regards!

Thanks for the tip with the BioChar. I'm going to try it
You are welcome! :) Glad you found it useful!
I like to buy persimmon plants but i don’t from where & how do you minds to help me please
Hi try Daleys or Ross Creek Tropicals Nursery :)
Hello I’m leaving England
All the best! :)
The music in the background is distracting
I realised it while watching it on the television. I had no option as I have a baby who was crying in the back ground and had to overcome background talking noises with the music. The subtitles on this is pretty accurate, will try to work in more quiet environments with less noise. Thanks for watching. 🤍
How many years the persimon tree before having a fruits?
If you buy grafted then same year or 2nd year depending on the trees age and size... also the climate you live in will help it grow fast if suitable! 🤗 Thanks for Your comment!
The wettest spring I can remember! Nothing phases the Strawberry Guava 👌
Yeah I'm drowning and freezing 🥶 simultaneously. 😅🌞 can't wait for some sunshine 💛 Hope to see what's new on your channel soon too 😊 I had 3 SG fruits to taste last season, hoping that more will hold this year as the bees are buzzing 🐝
Great!!🌺🌷 Avocado!!🌹🌹🌹
Oh yes!
It's beautiful time 🥰
Definitely 💚
Beautiful 🥰💕😍
Thank you 😊 💓
I remember last year. It was terrible. Good luck mate
Yes fingers crossed for this year! Hope you are doing well and everything is going smooth! :) Thank you & You too!
Thanks for sharing your good work
So nice of you, my pleasure! Thanks for watching!
Love the green houses! Great selection of mangoes tree.Have you thought about planting mangoes in the ground in the green house. That way they grow faster and bigger and once they are establish you have the option of removing the green house.Or you can keep green house permanently ,but keep pruning the trees to keep it small.I will be trying to grow tropical fruits tree in greenhouse myself ,like sapodilla and mamey and achacha .I seen Daley grow their tropical in their bio dome and got their tropical trees to fruit. You should plant your stone fruits and citruses in ground as they are cold tolerance.Give us update on your mangoes.
Thank you for watching! I am currently renting. I will plant them into the ground once I buy the land, either this or another :) However I do plan on allowing my strongest mango tree in the greenhouse to hold a fruit. Lets see how it goes, I prefer nature to do its thing and just support it with nutrients. I will film an update soon, thank you, just finishing up an edit soon and then new ones will be up! :) Stay tuned and goodluck with everything!
nice , i am looking at growing some dwarf cavendish bananas next season. i am going to try 1 in a 100 liter blue barrel and see how it goes.
Amazing idea. Don't go too deep as banana roots spread more on the top surface. You would benefit from a wider barrel or raised bed. Fruits depends on your micro climate n weather. Initial wind protection, frost and hail can be your enemy so baby plants or adult both will struggle during winter. Mine are still recovering from the awful cold spells we've had in Melbourne this last few years... wishing you a bounty year! All the best! Please subscribe for more coming soon ✌️🤗
Great job
Thank you 😊
Have just found your channel and subscribed. Thankyou for taking the time to record and show us your work. Its greatly appreciated. 💜
I am so glad, Thank you for taking the time to watch my work and I'm grateful for your feedback. I have more useful videos coming, so stay tuned. #OneManArmy 🤗 🤍
Your blueberries and almonds look great. Nice to meet you at the Garden & Home Show at Lardner Park. Hard to believe you've packed all of this into 732 m2. I could never get the spray for curly leaf onto my peaches or nectarines in time, so I don't include them in my garden now. When I lived in Berkeley, California, our neighbours planted their front yard in vegetables and fruit plants. They had a banana tree in a niche near their front door where it got enough sun and warmth to fruit. Best of luck with your urban propogation.
It was a pleasure meeting you too! I am so glad to hear that my efforts have impressed you. We've put some hard work into getting them so far. Yes stone fruits are tricky with leaf curl... hoping it works out. I've got some bananas but yet to fruit. Hoping for a bunch this year. 🤗 Please subscribe and stay tuned. The Journey has just begun ✨️ Be safe and take care 🙂 Thank you again.

Tell the kids to quieten down during videos. Its distracting.
I wish they'd listen! 😪 It's like poultry, they quack away 😅 I've come to terms with the noise pollution but will defo try to keep them quiet. Thanks for the comment 👍
Pls let us know how your banana trees are going since the repotting. I’m thinking of growing a couple myself. Love to know how yours are faring.
Hey 👋 Welcome to the channel! It's been a cold and frosty winter, they've taken a bit of a hit. But they are alive and will regrow. I've just returned from holiday, and I'm working on few new video updates to be released soon. Stay tuned! Also if you are keen to grow them, I say go for it. Cool Cavendish and few other varieties I'll mention in the video are ideal for Melbourne! Goodluck ✌️
Good well done my son 🌿☘💗😍good job Aaliyah stay evergreen darling 😘🤞you must take care of these babies too
Have you tried just using a grafting knife or sharp pocket knife? Tbh that’s what I do and is a lot easier than what that tool looks like!
Well I did want to do it old school! But I figured why not try something new and that's when I came across this tool! It's pretty decent, Not too much hard work just a little bit getting used to. i'll be trying out other ways too, but given I am always in a rush this is the best way for me to get this done so i figured why not :) Now the wait till we see positive!
