Common misconceptions about homeschooling: 1. **Lack of Socialization**: Many believe that homeschooled children do not have enough social interaction. However, many homeschoolers participate in co-ops, sports, community events, and other activities that provide ample social opportunities. 2. **Parents Must Be Experts**: Some think that parents need to be certified teachers or experts in every subject to homeschool. In reality, many parents facilitate learning through resources, online courses, and community classes. 3. **Homeschooling Is Only for Religious Families**: While some families homeschool for religious reasons, many others do so for academic, personal, or health-related reasons. 4. **Homeschooling Is Too Rigid**: There’s a belief that homeschooling follows a strict curriculum similar to traditional schools. In fact, homeschooling can be highly flexible, allowing families to choose or create curricula that fit their children’s needs and interests. 5. **Homeschooling Is Expensive**: While there are costs associated with homeschooling, such as materials and resources, many families find ways to educate without breaking the bank, using libraries, free online resources, and community programs. 6. **Homeschooled Kids Are Behind Academically**: This misconception assumes that homeschooled children are less educated. Many studies show that homeschooled students often perform as well as or better than their peers in standardized tests.

Yes! I would add that you shouldn't be afraid to let your kids spend LOTS of time outside. Kids' attention spans are not very long, so they need lots of recess breaks and outdoor time. Plant a garden! Build a treehouse! Dig a giant hole! This was the majority of my homeschooling. Also, you don't need a curriculum for everything. I know families who have done that, and it takes all the fun out of homeschooling
Yes, I 100% agree we spend so much time outside and it is such a game changer for the whole family! They learned so much by just digging in dirt lol
Man I got lucky. My mom was a part time English teacher when she homeschooled me and my brother
That’s amazing!

Stewarding our children is the most important job. And it’s sad that we sometimes minimize the value we bring to the home. You’re a great mom!
I agree, society can make us feel like we need to “do it all” but providing a loving nurturing home is the highest calling we can have! You do such an amazing job with those kiddos!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I like how compact these are and simple. So true just making our everyday stuff seem special by putting it in a little box. Thanks! I have 5 kids and keeping my 2 and 4 yo busy is tough!
Yes! It’s amazing, how much we can really find around the house to repurpose into some busy boxes. Lmk if you give these a try and how they worked for you!! 😊
This was really good! I’m finding this so difficult at this season of life, I really need consistency and a morning routine but having a hard time doing so. I have 6 kids and one of them is 4 months old so not getting much sleep and purely exhausted 🥱 not to mention I have a very active toddler too 😂 any advice on getting somewhat of a routine? I’ve seen so many talk about morning menus and routines for their kids, I need something like that. My homeschool days are more like unorganized chaos and it’s sporadic depending on baby’s mood and nap times. I really like your content, I’m looking more into CC, not sure what’s all involved but it looks interesting.
Hey mama, thank you so much for your comment! First, let me just say, 6 kids! Wow! You are doing an amazing job!! 💛You are in the thick of it right now so don’t be too hard on yourself on having a perfect morning routine. I like to stack habits. So pick one habit you want to incorporate first. Start with that and then when it becomes part of your routine add another one. Quiet time morning baskets might be a good one for you. Set up a few baskets of quiet activities based on your kids ages. I like to have those out in the morning to stretch my “quiet time”. Then maybe make a “homeschool block” this could be during babies nap time or maybe right after breakfast when everyone is full and happy. Do what you can during that block and don’t stress what gets left for the next day. We love CC. My favorite part honestly, is the built in community. I’ve met the most amazing mamas and my kids have made some of their best friends. I also love the foundations program and that they learn through song at this young age. If you have questions about CC, I’d be happy to answer them. 😊
@@EricaHolzhauer thank you so much for your kind words, that’s very encouraging!! 💕 I will try doing what I can and giving myself Grace. After breakfast is a great idea when everyone is full 😆 I’d love to know the basics of CC and what’s all involved. Maybe an idea for a video 🤔
@@stephanienoble2926 Great video idea! I will put that on my content list. 😊
Banana Pancakes 1 Cup Almond Milk 3 Cups Oats 3 Over ripe bananas 2 Tbs baking powder 3 Tbs Apple Cider Vinegar 3 Tbs Maple Syrup 1 Tbs Vanilla Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend on high for about a minute. Cook on a hot griddle for about 3 minutes on each side. Enjoy!
Looks delicious, I’ll have to try it out!
Lmk if you do, I think you will love them!
Yep. All cooking appliances are ALWAYS thoroughly cleaned after use. Basic kitchen hygiene is important.
I always try and clean mine but I’m somehow always left with some stuck on waffles 🤣
Thanks so much for this video!!! God bless you!!!
You’re welcome! I’m glad you enjoyed it 😊!!
My waffle iron is always super clean! (Because I never use it 😆)
Totally fair! 🤣🤣🤣
Dirty ssa
Oh I’ve got to try this recipe!! (My waffle irons just as dirty 🤣)
You will love them , they are constant rotation around here!! Glad to hear I’m not the only one who can’t keep a waffle iron clean. 🤣🤣
2 Cups Almond milk 2 Cups Oats 1/2 Cup Peanut butter 2 Tablespoons Baking powder 2 Tablespoons Maple syrup Pinch of Salt Optional: Vanilla Cinnamon. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend for about a minute. Cook in your favorite waffle iron and enjoy!
Easy Vegan Pancakes: 4 Cups Almond Milk 4 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar 2 Teaspoons of Vanilla 4 Cups Flour 1/2 Cup Sugar 4 Tablespoons 4 Tablespoons Baking Powder Combine your wet ingredients and let sit for 5 minutes to create the vegan “butter milk”. In the meantime, combine your dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Add your wet ingredients to your dry ingredients and whisk until combined. Let sit for 5 minutes. Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup pour batter onto a preheated griddle and cook for 3 minutes on each side. Enjoy!
I cant support the religious part, but we need to spread the idea that homeschooling should include ACTUAL EDUCATION and not just keeping your kids out of public school. Keep teaching that literacy!
I'm not religious myself but I don't see anything wrong with it. It's basically the same as parents sending kids to Catholic school. Plus, if kids are more educated about their religion, they'll be able to think about it more critically when they're older and it'll be easier to grasp concepts when it comes to learning about different theologies.
@nora__ you're lumping all religious education in the same "high quality and unbiased" bucket, and that super isn't reality. It won't always lead to strong critical thinking and logic skills, it can lead directly to violent extremism. It can lead to a perfectly bland and normal life too. I won't support religious indoctrination of children under any circumstances, but I absolutely support proper home school curriculums that will teach logic and critical thinking. I certainly don't know this person's religious beliefs well enough to know which way they're leaning in that regard.
Your husbands very lucky
