This was the Royal Scot Steam train passing through Kirkcaldy in Fife Scotland with a Class 47 (Galloway Princess- 47 593) at the rear. This train was en route to Dunfermline before heading off further.

This is a Colas Rail Freight train passing through Kirkcaldy in Fife en route to Broughty Ferry. The lead loco is 56 049 with 56 090 at the rear. The audio is of a very high quality.
67 006- Royal Sovereign Passing Through Kirkcaldy en route to Dumbarton Central

Tonight 67 006 (the Royal Sovereign) was at the front of a tour train passing through Kirkcaldy. It had departed Aberdeen some time earlier en route to Dumbarton Central. A number of trains had been cancelled due to a safety inspection of the track between South Gyle and Haymarket. Thankfully this didn’t result in this train being diverted or delayed.

This was a fascinating sight seeing several USAF F15 jets plus a Stratotanker flying overhead at around 30,000 in a very neat formation. They had taken off from either RAF Mildenhall or Lakenheath and were flying in a north westerly direction en route for South Carolina in the USA. A rare sight.

This was such a great driver on this train who blasted the horns whilst at the controls of Lord of the Isles on route from Slough to Inverness. This was the train passing through Kirkcaldy station.

This was an SRPS rail tour train just approaching Kirkcaldy to drop off a few passengers having returned from Aviemore. The train was then due to head across to Linlithgow. A great tour train.

The first freight train is filmed heading towards Kirkcaldy station en route to Millerhill from Cupar. The loco is GBRf 66 794. The second is hauled by Freightliner 66 556. This one was also heading to Millerhill from Cupar.

In my 40+ years of being a pilot, the best memories I have are being a Civil Air Patrol backseat observer behind my flying (and ultimately sailing) mentor waaaay back in the early 1970s in an O-1 Bird Dog. I flew behind Wayne, my mentor, all over Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and Florida on SAR missions in the 0-1, often with the side windows up during summer missions. Besides the Baron I flew in my last 27 years of aviating, the Bird Dog is in my top three (or maybe four) aircraft I ever flew in. The P-51 and the F-16 round out that list.
Must have been an awesome experience and thanks for sharing this.
Us Old Dogs called it the L19 which it was long before the Army changed the designation.. L stood for Liason. O stands for Observation. I took my first ride in an airplane in one when I was a 13 year old CAP Cadet at Ft. Rucker, Alabama. In 1955. ❤
My first ride in an O-1 was with the Montgomery AL CAP senior squadron while in my last year of high school in the early early 1970s. Wayne, the O-1 pilot that introduced me to Bird Dog, started me off on an aviation path that led to retiring as the Alabama Aeronautics Director for 27 years and flying a Baron that 27 years. The Bird Dog has a special place in my personal and professional memories.

Nice video. As a retired USAF Crew Chief on KC-135s I spent a lot of time on temp duty to RAF Mildenhall.
It was fascinating to watch.
@@rpcinematics1672 I bet. I have been up there on the tanker with fighters off our wing tips so it is neat to see what it looks like from the ground. Very impressive video.

This burn is called the east burn and reaches the forth next to the east wall of the harbour. The mines that were in the smeaton area were all small pits with the exception of dunnikier colliery sited near the pannie den. The pits in smeaton area were probably "gin pits" . Check out Chris starlings site. Fife pits. It contains lots of info about the mines in this area👍

look at the old interactive maps from the for the mines by those maps this tunnel is labelled as a mine so it might run of the old coal mines which i plan on going through at some point in the near future there is also a mine entrance over by ravens craig pack that goes under the old castle if the maps are right but these are walk in entrances there is however tons of vertical shafts all over kirkcaldy even the hospital has been built over the mine if the data maps are correct.. if u want to head down the tunnels and want anyone to tag along with give me a message
