The SHOCKING Cost Of Our Disney Wedding
Great videos i booked my experience for next month on a Monday. However park is only open from 10-6, going to call and change it since the tour sounds like it might eat up a lot of the time. Question will let us opt out from going the tour?
That’s a really good question - my gut reaction is that it’s your tour, so I don’t see why not. But you should consider skipping VIP and getting an unlimited express pass instead. It will be cheaper. The backlot tour is really the main event of VIP. 10-6pm is so short!!!
@pandytravels ohhh that's a great idea. Thank you💕
I always bid on an upgrade with AC. I’ve been successful in getting an upgrade to premium economy many times. And also in getting an upgrade from premium economy to signature class. I’ve paid an additional $400 for PE upgrade, and $1000 for an upgrade to signature class. It might sound a lot, but to purchase a signature class seat at regular price can cost as much as $4000 one way (Vancouver to London). So I think it’s a pretty good deal. I’ve found that you need to bid at least 50% of the maximum bid option. But all in all, you can pick up an upgrade for far less than you’d pay for a regular PE or Signature class ticket.
This is great advice! I always wonder how much we need to bid because we always lose. Or the flight is ALWAYS sold out anyway. That happened on both of our Japan flights. Not a single seat was open during bidding - we were going to try to upgrade to biz class
@@pandytravels I have to agree with you, I bid slightly over minimum, usually by about $100-200 and I rarely get the upgrade. I'm only 25k mind you. It's not easy! Maybe Marie's status is way higher cuz I certainly don't have her luck
Want to go one day!
Girl math. 🤣
I'm going on a Wednesday in December. I'm still on the fence about this considering it should be dead that day. Plus, they're only open 10-6 that day! So spending the entire day with a group of strangers doesn't sound great lol This was a great video!
Oh man, 10-6 is brutal! You do get to go on the backlot tour though, which is super cool. But I get it. It’s a huge cost for a day that won’t be busy. Let me know how it goes!
You and your boyfriend should use the same seat ! Great money savings and lots of fun !!
So many lounges have super nice bathrooms! You should try more lounges!
Challenge accepted!
VIP is totally worth it
That was a really good review of Air Canada, the actual product isn't bad. The crew that are delivering the product manage to turn it into complete garbage.
The one thing about medication you need to be careful about is whether it is allowed in Japan. They can be very strict on certain SSRIs and things with ephedrine and pseudoephedrine ingredients. Even if you have a prescription for it you may get trouble if it’s not allowed.
Great call out! Always a good idea to check those types of things before traveling anywhere
I didn't know about the uncomfortable pillows and lack of towels/soap in bathrooms... good to know. I wonder if hotels could accommodate requests for softer pillows. Looking forward to your TDR videos!
I’m not sure if it was a language barrier thing, but I did ask them and they simply gave us more of the same terrible pillows! lol. I’m excited for our TDR videos too! Lots to say!
"We saved $25,000" is such #GirlMath. I'm living for it. Love the breakdown, btw. I'm always so curious about how expensive "expensive" is for Disney weddings. EDIT: Just got to the final price tag. I know y'all were thoughtful about your expenses, and I'm not sure how many guests you had. But $41,000 is not any more insane than typical wedding prices.
You know how it goes…you enter those gates and you’re a millionaire all of a sudden! Then you come home to a sad stark reality of eating ramen noodles out of a styrofoam cup for a month 😭
I’m so happy you put out this review as it gives me a better insight as to what is to be expected for when I fly in premium economy soon with Air Canada, based on you’re review I believe I’ll definitely get my moneys worth from this up coming flight so thank you!
We’re so excited for you! Hope you have an amazing flight and let us know afterwards how it goes 🛫
@@pandytravels Hello, it’s been more then 2 weeks since I’ve flown on Air Canada premium economy from Toronto to Frankfurt for the first time, my over all thought about the seat was quite good to say the least, I loved how much space I had for storage as well as the generous recline I had, I also appreciate the little amenity kit and hot towel provided on board, when it came down to food, I thought it was mediocre not the best, but not horrible either, over all I say my flight went pretty well however, if there’s one criticism I can give to Air Canada it would be to invest in there catering, all in all I paid $1800 cad for this trip, I would definitely fly in premium economy again!
@kevinbaskaran4716 not too bad of a price! Glad you had a good experience :)
Asian airports, like Singapore's Changi and Middle Eastern one's like Qatar's Doha have really clean, beautiful and top notch high tech restrooms in lounges and in the airports as well. Canadian Airport and lounge restrooms are 3rd world in comparison. Changi and Doha airports are also breathtaking. When you say airport restrooms are disgusting, I assume you are referring to Canadian ones, or have never travelled to Singapore Changi, or Qatar Doha.
We’ve always wanted to visit Changi airport! The bathroom review seals the deal 😊. Thanks for sharing!
I would say premium economy is always worth it in the sense that a human can actually sit there with dignity compared to regular economy. Of course the price can make it unaffordable or down right stupid ($11,000???). I really doubt anybody is paying this amount, Christmas or not. The way to do it is what you've done by using points, e-upgrades, or bids.
Agree! But it takes a lot of research and time to get into points, e-upgrades, etc. A lot of people don’t even know where to begin! Like I said - worth $1500 in points, certainly not worth $4K or that absolutely ludicrous price tag of $11K 😂
First time I flew was this past Sept to Warsaw on a trip with my wife. I work for Lufthansa so business class was 510CAD each round trip and it was awesome. Only catch its standby so I have to pick flights on med to low season. We got on all of our flights tho.
I also went into the AC lounge it was just ok.
Oh I would jump at $510 round trip 😍 can’t wait to try out business class one day!
Hey Pandy when ever we have gone to that lounge, there is no alcohol served early in a.m. what time were ypu there? Im a big time nervous flyer too!!!!
Oh yes, that’s the worst part of the lounge! No booze in the AM. We were in the lounge around 2pm. Our flight departed around 5pm!
@@pandytravels thanks so much for your reply!!! And your video. Yeah in your video we thought we saw eggs as one of the dishes lol.
Weve flown to cancun, and back, from toronto every year for the past year, business class. And its amazing. The staff have been great. Its a tough job!!! Very tight. No humidity, your dryed out. I think there angels!!!!! Your safety is a concern and they have alot of ppl to take care of. We had crazy turbulence coming back last hear but because flight was delayed they kept serving i cldnt believe it. Give these ppl a super nice attitude no matter what you get. Just my 2 cents. Booked again this dec. Im sure some staff can be bad anywhere but so can you at your job too i know i can be mean too! Worst was one year we bought club class air transat. And one of there staff memeber got a seat in club, but was off duty, now she was out for revenge lol. So was terrible!!!! Air transat flight 1 way to cancun is twice as much as air canada!!!!! And you dont get any lounge.
I have flown on Air Canada since it was TCA (I own a TCA flight bag) and have always found the Air Canada employee is either very nice, professional and friendly or in a bad day, snappy state of mind. Never in between
lol that has been our experience as well. Sometimes trips have the best service and other trips it’s like we’re inconveniencing them by being on the flight 😂. Love that you have a TCA bag!
The price you pay for Premium Economy is more than twice of what ylu pay for basic Economy. And really the comfort isn't much better in Premium as it is in Economy. I think the next time for a long haul flight I'll pay the 4, 5 or 600 more for the Business and that's round trip. The better deal is business for sure.
Can’t wait to experience a business class flight! Or maybe even first class one day if we’re really lucky. 🤭
@@pandytravels Well cost wise between Premium and Business is only 4, 5, 6 hunderd dollars. A way better value than economy to premium. For what youm receive on business on a long haul is well worth the price difference. I did it last year YYZ to FRA Premium to Business for my wife and I total for the two of us was only 1200 dollars more well worth the upgrade. On Lufthansa Airlines.
That’s actually the next longer distance spot we’re headed to next - Paris. I’ll definitely take a look into business class for that flight.
@@pandytravels FRA is Frankford Germany
Sorry my bad! I had FRAnce on my brain haha
This is why I only go to Disney with experts like you and my friend Alanah.
104k points?!? That is a fantastic deal. Holy moly. I’ve been pricing it out on AP and the best I ever see is in the 175 per person range… as we need three tix I’ve resigned myself to economy… how far ahead did you book?
Oh no! I think flight prices are going up again because of the pilot strike. We booked about 8 months in advance and went during an off season (September). We are fortunate enough to be fairly flexible in when we travel. When are you looking to go?
@@pandytravelswas it 104k pts for 2 people? 😮
@kimorahho that was per person! Apologies for the confusion!
@@pandytravelsstill an awesome deal! I really appreciate your tips and videos on travel
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the tips guys!!! And congrats (on your marriage. (a little bit late)
Thank you so much ❤️❤️!!
"The magic is gone!" commented our oldest son on a recent trip to Orlando. True, a majority of our visit was spent at Universal (highly recommend!)... but our family wanted to enjoy one day at Disney World and hit some of the favorites from their previous trips. Welllll...several rides were down for repair or renovation, Splash Mountain was 'reimagined' (<< Seriously... why not stay true to the original and Walt's vision?), average food, less-than-clean room... I could go on & on. I'll just echo my son's accurate comment... The Magic IS gone at Disney World. 😳 Universal for us going forward. 👍
Thanks for sharing! Sounds like you had a great time at Universal which we love as well :). Hopefully more competition means more motivation to bring more of the magic we love to see at Disney!
At first planning my Disney Wedding was insane! But after finally understanding how my BEO works I got it under control 🙌 just got married on the 23rd 😁
Congratulations!! Hope it was a magical day! Where did you end up having your ceremony and reception?
@@pandytravels Ceremony - Wedding Pavilion Cocktail Hour - Whitehall Room & Patio Kids Reception - Salon 9 Our Reception - St Augustine A&B Dessert Party - Germany AB&C We hosted a separate kids reception so we could have an adult only reception. We really wanted a wedding inside the parks but we are not morning people 🤣
@@KaitT2024 That sounds like an amazing day - WOW! Love your thoughts around kid's reception LOL. I hope we get to see photos featured on the Disney Weddings Instagram page!
How reliable is it to buy tickets through Undercover Tourist vs through Universal's website? What would the difference be?
Totally reliable! That’s the only place we buy from because they are slightly cheaper. The only time we don’t buy from them is when we’re going to the parks for 1-2 days. They are the same price as Universal/Disneys website so we buy direct. Let us know if you have any other questions!
I really appreciate the breakdown and the wedding looks beautiful <3 ... that amount is intimidating for a wedding, since all that is still not including: wedding attire and accessories, (and for brides we'd add even more $ for makeup, hair, nails, etc.), wedding rings, wedding party gifts, flights, hotel bookings, park tickets, if there was a rehearsal dinner or welcome dinner, etc. .. whew lol my hubby and I were considering a Disney wedding in 2021 but opted for a local wedding instead.. but still hoping one day maybe a WDW vow renewal <3
Yes the costs add up for sure! We did the math on what a wedding would cost here in Toronto and it was roughly the same, so we decided to go for it! A vow renewal at Disney is such an amazing idea. We hope to do that one day in the future as well. It’s a lot less expensive when the word “wedding” isn’t involved…and a lot less pressure!
I’m so happy I found your page! We are going at Aulani in 2026 to celebrate our daughter’s 13th birthday! In just a span of few hours, I was able to watch 3 of your Aulani videos already 😂
We hope you have the best time ever!! We love Hawaii so much 🥹 we decided to make it a once every two year trip
WHY WHY WHY do you Have to have Annoying Music in the Background????? It is ANNOYING and UNECESSARY!!!! UGH! Can't watch your vidoes, Man!
Going through it now. Trying to do the wedding planning now.
Good luck! Hope it all goes well!
"We saved 25k dollars" apparently girl math is the same as gay math 😂
So true 😂. We should just rename it Disney math
Hi, I have a question and I hope you can answer it because it is very important to me. I am a fan of the film Psycho and I really want to see the house and of course take photos in front of the house and on the stairs and of course in front of the Norman Bates Motel. Can I do all of this with a VIP pass? Do they allow it? It is a lifelong dream of mine to take a photo in front of the Psycho house and on the stairs and to enjoy the house in peace. I would be very happy to hear your answer. Greetings from Germany
Hi there - it all depends on what they are filming. Every day is different for what you get to see. I wouldn’t recommend going on the tour just to see one thing because you may end up disappointed!
@@pandytravelsThank you🤝☺️
Thanks for the tips, although I feel like the kids menu tip doesn't make sense? The kids menu is usually a different menu (like chicken nuggets) not the same menu items in smaller portions. Better tip might be to split a meal between two people. Anyway cool video!
That is a fair point! Some restaurants at the theme parks offer a similar meal, but you’re right a lot are just items like chicken nuggets!
A good example of getting the same meal but smaller is Three Broomsticks in Wizarding World of Harry Potter. If you visit, check out that kids menu (and anyone reading this comment) 😊
Very excited for Celestial Park!
Us too!
We only paid $450 a night, so that minimum price rule isn’t strictly true
That’s a great price! Thanks for sharing and enjoy Aulani :)
Overall, I prefer Disney World Resort, but I have better experience at Disneyland Resorts. The 2 parks are compact, there are tons of E Attractions, and Lightning Lanes work better.
Thanks for sharing! So hard to decide which one is better 😅
@pandytravels Disneyland is less crowded over the weekend but higher tickets price. On weekdays it is much crowded because tickets are cheaper.
Great video guys! Subscribed!
Thanks for watching and subscribing! ❤️
I’ve done the VIP experience 3 times and all 3 times it was worth it. The reason I did it so many times was to be able to walk on the back to the future set since it was being used my first 2 times. Overall it’s an amazing experience and I would recommend to go on a weekend since it’s open much longer. And pro tip: take advantage of the water bottles you can get at the VIP lounge, at the buffet, and when you do the studio tour 💧
Thanks for sharing Luis! I guess 3rd times the charm with the BTTF set. We were looking forward to that but it was also being used when we went. Now we have an excuse to do it again 😊
Were you able to see the psycho house from behind? And take photos too? Is it allowed?
It’s not the price stopping me from getting married at the castle it’s the times 😢
Yeah it’s definitely an unconventional time for a wedding but it’s one of the coolest experience being at the park when it’s completely empty of guest. We also had a cool experience of seeing how Cast members prepare the park for opening.
Question, I was wondering how much did you pay for your 10 day rental through Avis, if you don't mind me asking? For example, I priced out a 10 day, 2018 Tesla model 3 rental in June through TURO and it came out to a total of $421.20. This also includes free vehicle delivery to Daniel K Inouye Internation airport. IF you want a 2021 Tesla model 3, the total cost would be $552.08 . Obviously, you can rent any car from TURO. I'm just using Tesla model 3 as an example because that was the car you rented. I learned A LOT from watching your video. I will most definitely follow you for future vacation travel tips. And, congratulations on your marrige!
Thanks for following us Alejandro! Our Avis 10 day rental came out to $431 when we went in January 2024. We did use a discount code from our work but typically they also have discount codes for other partners or might have cheaper pricing with travel partners (eg try Costco Travel). Try finding discount codes or shopping around different travel sites or different car rentals.
Also, if you purchase a Disney resort drinking mug, you can only use it on your current stay. You can not return, recharge and use the cup on your next visit. You would have to purchase another cup. MAYBE the tumbler is different but knowing Disneys nickle and diming ways, I doubt it.
Given the Disney Parks restrict fill ups by scanning a chip in the mug, we had the same thought when we went to Aulani. We noticed their machines didn’t scan the mug and the signs selling the mugs didn’t have any restrictions noted for refills so we asked a cast member and they noted it’s lifetime free refills. Guess it makes sense given repeat Aulani customers would cost them very little in free Soda if they even remember to bring back their mugs. We did see a few guests using older Aulani mugs too :)
Great video. Another perk of staying at a DVC studio, you can use the laundry for free. Just pass by the front desk and request laundry tokens. You are allowed 8 tokens per day.
Oh wow! We had no idea this was available and we always stay in studios to save money. Thank you so much for the tip!
On the my Disney app I have for the one in Florida, there is a big old empty area that I think monsters Inc. world could go perfect in behind the animation courtyard
There’s a few rumours they could replace Animation Courtyard. Try checking Google Maps satellite view instead of the WDW app. It will have administrative buildings that don’t shop up in the WDW app.
@@pandytravels yeah somebody just told me it might be different on Google maps
I heard they canceled the spaceship earth refurbishment that was supposed to happen like two years ago
Thanks for sharing! Doesn’t sound promising if they didn’t raise it during D23.
I swear I went to spaceship earth in 2015 and I think there were arcade games in there and then this year I went back to spaceship earth and it was like this time machine thing is that correct?
Yup it a slow moving ride in Spaceship Earth that takes you through the history of key inventions of mankind
I know a lot of people love the Dinosaur ride, but I actually got nauseous on that ride. I mean, it was still a cool experience regardless. Since Indiana Jones is going to replace it, I hope the ride won't be the same amount of jerkiness which will result in my motion sickness again.
Having tried the Indiana Jones ride in Disneyland, the Dinosaur ride is definitely jerkier and much darker. The combination can definitely cause motion sickness. We’ll still miss it but we’re excited to see what Disney does with the Indiana Jones ride at Magic Kingdom.
We rented a PHEV minivan for our family. Drove around the island about six times in 10 days and used less than one tank of gas.
Wow that’s amazing!! Sounds like the family had a great time on the island. Thanks for sharing your experience with plug in hybrids :)
sorry did you say 7 hours on the vip bus? :)
Our entire VIP tour experience was 7 hours which included going on several rides, the buffet lunch, and the studio tour where we were driven around in a bus to all the various sets. The studio tour was about 2 hours.
Most of these look really cool! I am just sad that they are getting rid of the dinosaur ride😭
Same here!! It’s such a fun ride 😭. “We’re not going to make it!”
Love this channel! Thanks for the great tips. 🙌🏻
You're so welcome!
I just got back from Aulani and the lazy river closed at 8pm and I believe main pool at 10pm
Thank you for sharing the pool hours during the Summer! Glad to hear they’re open later :) Hope you enjoyed your time in Oahu!
