Vale Do Lobo Royal - Europe's best Par 3?
Next up on the Portuguese tour is Vale Do Lobo Royal. With the famous 16th Par 3 we were excited to see if the rest of the course lived up to the hype. Again, we had to give it a BroGolf rating accounting for the course, scenery and club sandwich

Having played the new and improved South course a couple days before and being extremely impressed by it we were both pumped to see how the North measured up. . . . Today BroGolf plays from the tips (7200 yards) at The Fairmont Torrance Course in St Andrews after they hosted the Hero Open on The European Tour. Today we visited Gullane Golf Club and played their No.1 course. Gullane is home to three course with the 2015 / 18 Scottish Open's being played on a mixture of Gullane No.1 & No.2. Scotland's Hidden Gem - Dunaverty Golf Club

Our first ever BroGolf review led us to Dunaverty Golf Club on Scotland's west coast. Dunaverty lives in the shadows of its more famous neighbours including Machrihanish Dunes and Machrihanish Old but does not disappoint! BroGolf Review = Course Scenery Club Sandwich

Just returned from playing the course and it was great. I hear that the fairways were beautiful, but I can say with certainty that the rough and sand were brutal

Did you have to get permission for the drone shots?
Leave the green fees after you play a course and review it as this influences bang for the buck factor.
I was a member at the Fairmont for 5 years. Its very rarely flat calm, even on a nice day. 3 club wind is very common there.

Sounds like the 17th was the deciding hole. I can imagine getting to the 17th hole on a tight match and feeling the nerves come up. I’m probably still going to play it some time soon, but hope it will be in better conditions then. Let me know when you guys are back in Portugal. Happy to catch up and play a round 👌

Nice video. I do vids and course reviews myself under Smithy 100 but Ive done over 200 a year for past 2 years. Much less professional than yours lol. I played Dunaverty before I started doing vids .so have to get back there.

You need to get over to Arran sometime to review the famous 12 hole Shiskine links, amongst others here. Really enjoyed your West coast tour videos and the Royal at Vale do Lobo which I've played and managed to birdie the 16th 😏. Hoping for some new videos this year.

The 16th is a great hole, a composite of 18 holes between the two courses would be a spectacular course as they both have a few weak holes, the 16th as well might not be there in a few years the way those cliffs are going!

@@brogolf4887 I have played there for the last 3 years on holiday nearly always a mix of QDL VDL, played the old course last time there and the greens are some of the best I’ve ever played on, played San Lorenzo, great layout and greens but maintenance of tee to green let’s it down, July and October is when I normally go, I find the courses in Portugal are generally better than Spain but it’s a more expensive trip 🏌️♂️🇵🇹

South is very good but I think Laranjal is sneakily better than the north and south !

@@davebone1104 Sounds like a great trip you've got planned. We felt like Monte Rei is one of those courses that you might only play once in your life and so if you don't mind spending the extra money it's definitely worth it - and their club sandwich was absolutely insane 👍🏼
