Recently started playing this game but wanted to explore freely. Then I got stuck in Deepnest. Couldn't find my way out. At all. Only got the dash and wall jump exploration abilities. Started a new playthrough because I WAS GOING MAD. Now I'm watching this.

This walkthrough is great, first and foremost. Shows excellent strategies in dealing with the multitude of bosses throughout. Just a few things however in regards to this particular walkthrough. This marks the 4th play through of mine, and I’ve used this walkthrough after I play through an area to make sure I don’t miss something minor. 1. It’s my opinion this is not the walkthrough for beginners. The walkthrough creator here assumes a level of skill by the player that I do not believe is reasonably achievable for players playing through the first time. Again, as someone who is on their 4th play through, I absolutely understand the route chosen for this walkthrough; beginners will run into several choke points trying to follow along. 2nd Hornet fight with only 5 Heath skulls will not be pleasant for even experienced gamers. The tough original route however will make the back half of the game that much easier however. 2. I do not believe this is a very efficient walkthrough either. There is quite a bit of unnecessary backtracking due to simple areas/simple objectives or collectibles being skipped for some reason; only to return later for something that could have been done 5/10/15 videos ago. I estimate a solid hour and a half to 2 hours could be saved. 3. A beginner could easily have 2 extra health skulls and 1 extra soul capsule extremely easily much earlier to help with some of the more difficult bosses this walkthrough tackles earlier than most people normally would. The walkthroughs creator is very skilled at the game; far more skilled than 90% of most players. And literal light years more skilled than a newcomer would be. Don’t take this as me saying it’s a bad walkthrough; because it isn’t. This particular route through the game is a challenging one, and is fun for even experienced players. Still the best walkthrough I’ve personally watched. Keep up the awesome work!! I just don’t think beginners should follow this one to the tee.
