Stenciling And Tracing My Way Through A Creative Rut
Hi friends. In this video I am working my way through a creative low point. I pulled out some rarely used stencils and some painted papers to slow-start any kind of artistic flow. You can hear in my voice how flat I sound but I still want to make something - anything - to get to that happy place in my head when that something becomes part of my Artrinsic Values. This Glue Book - Easy Black and White Layout

Hi friends. This glue book page came together so easily by using a very limited color pallet of black, white, and beige. One large focal point with some mark made strips and a layout was born. Add some words, and the next thing I knew, it was a complete collage! Enjoy and God Bless, Liz.

Hi friends. I had these little cut offs from a previous project. I decided to paint them in different colors for collage, or whatever. I ended up using them in my Imagine glue book as a background mosaic. I found gluing down the little pieces of colored paper very calming and therapeutic. Enjoy and God Bless! Liz

It was great to see (and hear) all your fun trash. I'm not much of a consumer so collecting trash is hard for me. Birdie (The recycled Hippie Chick) is sending me some stuff and my best friend gives me her fun trash too. I love having trashys in different sizes too. 🩷🩷🩷

Your book is by Enid Blyton, an English writer - now dead - who wrote for youngish girls & boys. She wrote an extremely large number of books, & was immensely popular. Perhaps you’ve heard of Noddy & Big Ears? Maybe not, but if so, she created them. It looks like you have a German translation of one of her Famous Five books. I have very fond memories of her books, which I read when growing up in the 60’s & 70’s in Australia. I like the way you have altered the book. 💐

Those pesky scraps! Why can’t I just toss them in the garbage? Sticky fingers is definitely an occupational hazard because I have a compulsion to glue those scraps to something. I have a problem...🤪

That's Awesome! I love your Border text pages. I have been harvesting black and white pages, but i wasn't sure how I wanted to start it, so that it would not be a boring page. What you did is a clever way to add texture. I also will try the sandpaper thingy.😊

I need a new brayer. I keep forgetting to pick one up! Grrrr! I think all your pages folded into a journal would be grand!
I keep getting bumps on my brayer from dried paint flakes. Need to wipe it off more, or just give it a thorough cleaning. I think I may add more to the prints down the road. Gelli printing is so fun. 😀

I just saw a video from Gayle Agostinelli where she added baby powder onto the paint on the gelli plate and pulled some really cool prints. Shannon Green has a video on this also. I might have a go but need to get some baby powder.
