Isn't the point of the redesign to have the character undergo changes, then what's the point of this video? I only see a classic Velma here, all you've done is just made her skin darker and her hair became more fluffy 🤔
@@user-zg1wm7fj9t She’s a completely different height and shape than every version you’ve seen her in. Redesigning a character (at least to me) is about keeping the essence of the character without making drastic changes ✨. Subtlety is key! In my redesign her hair is: turned up instead of down, she has an ahoge, her glasses are big and red instead of black, her nose is upturned instead of the cartoon > point, her lips are bigger, her sweater is floppy and furry instead of tighter to her body, her Mary Jane’s are more like toms, her body type is a huge teardrop, and of course, her skin color is different…. BUT she still feels like “classic Velma”. Changing her famous design elements like her sweater and skirt might make her look like a totally different character. Instead, it’s about playing with the shapes (and sometimes colors) to make the character your own. (As a tip: turn this Velma and classic Velma into a silhouette to see the differences!) Hope this helps you on your character design journey!

I didn’t realize there were different sub-genres/types of goths. I guess it makes sense. There’s different types of “punks”. Diselpunk, steampunk, etc.
I like the visual contrast of goth/scary characters, that can simultaneously appear cute. Gives it a cute/creepy style that clashes against the typical expectations of a scary gothic look.
Muy Bonita❤️, but I think she is a member of the team in the same way that iroh would be apart of the team, like how there’s an A group consisting of aang, toph, sokka, and katara as well as mono and apps of course, but then there are are side characters who are still important pieces to the team and show as a whole like suki, iroh, and bumi
