Braving the Texas cold at WSRCP
How’s it going everyone! In today’s episode we take on the Texas cold at WSRCP. You might be thinking “it doesn’t even get that cold in Texas!” You would be wrong. As someone who was raised up north I can definitely it gets cold here too.
Anyway, we tackled the winter wonderland through mud and remnants of snow in a contest of who can make it through. Easy lines became hard and hard lines even harder. We made it through the back half of the park up to deadman’s hill but it was much too cold and slippery to push any further so we ended there.
If you’ve made it through the end of the video and the end of the description, let me know what’s most amount of snow you’ve ever seen? For me it was...

How’s it going everyone, hope y’all are having a good day! In today’s episode I try something a little different with an up close solo crawl. Over the Holidays my TRX4 sport received a few upgrades. I know some are familiar with this truck and some may be new to the channel so here’s the basic run down: -Traxxas TRX4 sport -Injora LCG carbon fiber chassis -Proline Cliffhanger cab only body (Tam...
RC Trail Trucks in Murrell Park. Bronco Got a New Motor!
Просмотров 23421 день назад
What’s up everyone! In today’s video we see a bunch of Scale trucks hitting some cool lines on one of the last warm days of the year here in Texas. For the sake of making my scale videos more tolerable I swapped motors with the blue truck. If you didn’t know of ever wondered why my Bronco used to be particularly annoying and loud it was due to an outrunner motor (Holmes Hobbies RVLVR 1000kv V2)...
Chill Rainy Day RC Crawl with Some SloMo Action!

Happy New Year everyone! Today we visit Murrell park between some rain that was ongoing. There was about an hour in between downpours that we were able to get some good crawling in. I decided to play around with some slow motion shots to get nice mud and water action going. Hope you enjoy! #rc #scalerc #rccrawler #traxxas #rc4wd #slowmotion #scalerccrawler #trailtruck
RC Crawler Competition Turned Follow the Leader!

How’s it going everyone! In today’s episode we see what was supposed to be a competition day at Murrell Park. The goal was to have a hardbody team doubles comp but unfortunately not enough people showed up in time to compete. We decided to change it up a bit and run the course follow the leader style. There were four people there for the actual comp and bout six more of us there just to crawl a...
Trail Trucks Crawling at Katie’s Woods Park

What’s up everyone! In this video we decided to change scenery and check out Katie’s woods park. My friends have been here before but it was my first time checking this place out. If you’ve seen my Murrel Park videos you find it interesting to know that this park is actually just on the other side of the lake. I can only imagine all the other cool crawl spots around the lake that exist. While t...

How goes it everyone! In this episode a few of us made some changes to our setups or are trying out some completely new trucks. @rm0tcntrl tests out his new Corvair and some changes to his Green line killer rig, @NTX_RC shows off his recently built Moneyshot chassis rig with 4WS, @StubbsRC I believe now has Bommy on a Moneyshot Chassis as well with 4WS, and I’m testing out a new wheel/tire setu...

Great session, look forward to the next one!
@@rc_tale.s glad we got to catch a break in the storm that day
So close
@@NTX_RC there’s always next time! I was honestly impressed when you jumped it a little bit and it didn’t come tumbling down right there. That was a good bump!
Nice work!
@@NTX_RC thanks! This truck is coming along nicely. I’ll be ordering the Sequre ESC Friday when the next paycheck hits to finally get rid of ole screechy
@drewncars9505 all of us will love that, lol
@ I probably won’t even use the footage from the first part of the day Sunday and just make a video after I brought the Bronco out haha. Granted if I order it Friday that means at least one more weekend with it before it shows up
That poor Bronco lol
@@Carnage_Lot it looks a lot worse in slow-mo than it actually is 😂
the two fastest rc car are meet
I just ordered the bronco specific lcg chassis and the ir60 body along with wheels and tires. Going to install on my bronco tomorrow when parts come in. Picked up the bronco used with injora brass diff covers just for this build. Don't want to start ripping apart and changing my shiny new k10 high trail just yet. It'll either be a scale tow rig or mb18 build. More parts for the ir60 getting ordered soon. Great video BTW
@@TexasMiniCrawlers thanks for watching! I’m hoping to get meus isokinetic axles under this rig pretty soon and it should be nearly complete. Considering going brushless down the road too. You’re going to love the body though. I think it’s one of the coolest looking bodies for any of the mini crawlers that isn’t a super heavy one. It looks awesome and performs well even a practically stock rig
Killed that line. My van really struggled.
@@NTX_RC thanks! It definitely took a few tries to get a clean run
That thing is gorgeous I love the color
@@MonstaRC thanks! I had a white one in my cart for a few weeks after the body was released with the intention to paint it purple. Decided to buy the body and found out they added more colors and this was one of them. I think it was a great choice
One thing that may help is to slow down your tire speed a bit in certain areas
This truck now has LGRP black label tires with some treal wheels and brass rings with Injora yellow inserts. The traction the truck has now is insane. I’ve been able to actually crawl over more stuff rather than just send it every time. The problem with the stock wheels/tires is they have no foam or inserts and the tires have a pretty hard compound with tiny tread blocks that don’t really allow all the small sediment and rocks to clear out. The other problem with the truck currently I think is either the motor/ESC combo stock just doesn’t have the best of low speed control along with the stock gearing. I really think either the crawler gears or a brushless setup would definitely allow me to slowly crawl over more obstacles. I’m having a lot more fun with this truck than anticipated though. I thought I would build it and leave it on the shelf until I went on vacation but I’m actually bringing it out with me every weekend now!
@ I’m working on going brushless myself, other than springs and tires I’m stock Lol
@ifunny2725 I’m still on stock shocks/springs and I’m not sure what to get or just stay stock and play with shock oil tuning. I do have the Meus isokinetic axles on the way soon which will be dope. I have no idea which brushless setup I want yet so I’m staying stock with that for now
@ I’m running the injora 59mm brass end shocks with 50wt fluid (or 40, I can’t remember). I’m they feel fantastic, but it’s all user preference
@ifunny2725 mine was a defender at first so it has the two different springs on the stock shocks. Since I already have oil I think I’ll start with adding thicker oil. If I feel like I need more flex I’ll swap out to longer shocks but right now I think it feels great. That or I may get larger tires. I got the LGRP tires in the stock size since it’s stock width. If the iso kinetic axles are wider then I might get the 63/64mm tires instead of longer shocks
RC J22 😮😮😮🎉
Nice line boss!
@@MonstaRC thank you!
❤
Awesome trucks!!!🔥🔥🔥🚀🥇💯😎👍👍👍
@@ONFLOOD-RC thanks!
My servo horn broke in two minutes:(
@@MonstaRC that’s surprising! Really the only things I have been seeing break on these trucks are the differentials. Were you jumping it when it broke?
@ no, made a few fast passes, hit the smallest crack in the road and rolled it. Ive posted a video. But I’ve had this happen on every grom I’ve owned so far. But after replacing had no issue so I’m thinking the factory is putting them on to tight with no give.
@ interesting I’d almost rather have to deal with that than breaking the diffs lol. I’ve got to fix both my granite and Mojave now because of the diffs
@ yeah the servo horn is cheaper to replace, but the diffs are a much simpler fix in my opinion. But yeah those stock diffs are terrible, I’ve upgraded my diffs in my granite groms I believe this new BLX comes with either v2 diffs or the all metal diffs.
@ yeah they come with full metal diffs. I’ve ordered 4 more regular stock ones off of Jenny’s rc since they’re only $10 a pair. I had a friend tell me if you fill them with a decently thick diff oil they don’t strip as easy. Mine lasted seemingly longer than most people so I figured with my driving style and filling them with diff oil the replacements should last a little while longer than they did unfilled/ungreased
Nice vid!
Do you still have the car? How did you like the Stage 2 tune?
@@ambassador_fleet I wish I still had this car! I ended up trading it in for a 2019 6mt Tacoma. The tune I had from Ron was awesome he really knows what he’s doing with the FA20. Nothing happened to the car, I was at the time just ready for something else. Really wanted to get into off-roading. I was also a bit afraid that something would happen soon to the car. It had 80,000mi on the stock/original clutch and brakes with over 30 passes at the drag strip. In hindsight I wish I had kept the car, put a clutch in it and kept it instead but like they say hindsight is always 20/20
@@drewncars9505 I feel like we all had a car that we wish we kept. That being said, a manual Taco sounds like a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing!
@ I can agree with that. The taco is awesome offroad, I just miss having a fun car lol. Thanks for watching!
Lock your diff
@@Huntersmith-123 the front actually has a spool on my truck specifically. If you look really closely you can see the wheel nut starting fall off. The axle/hex is spinning but the wheel isn’t because it’s not seated on there properly being loose 😂
Im loving mine you should check it out i have some cool free mods too , I put on 64 mm tires it really helps get the Trx4m axles up , they need ground clearance 😊
@@jimbo4203 I’ll check it out! I got the smaller tires for now since I’m stock width and didn’t want to rub. Originally got the truck to bring it with me when I travel but I’m actually starting to like it a lot and want to do more lol. I may end up widening it a bit and then throw the bigger tires on there. We’ll see how it goes. I’ve got a few parts on order right now that I think will help out a lot.
It’s a fun truck but you’ll need to upgrade the diffs and axels immediately. Also grab the Furitek Scorpion brushless power system. Not only will it be faster but the can on the motor has no holes. It eliminates pebbles from getting inside and chewing up the motor. I drive mine on softball field and the can on the brushed motor has holes. It ultimately succumbed to the dirt and smoked out on me. OR just buy the brushless version from Arrma with all the upgrades included. If I had to do it all over again I would have gone brushless.
@@Fprice2013 I have yet to buy the Typhon still and plan on getting that brushless version when I do. My Granite is almost exclusively a dog toy now haha. It just runs around in the backyard for the dogs to chase around. My Mojave I’ve left stock so far because after we go crawling we all break out our Mojave’s and have a little dirt track race for fun. I’ll probably do some reliability upgrades first but for now we are all running stock trucks. I think once we all collectively decide to go brushless then I’ll either upgrade mine or grab a new already brushless model. Funny thing is I actually turn mine down to 75% throttle because it’s easier to control on the surface we are running on. I feel like making it brushless and even faster I’d have to start really getting into better tires and shock tuning. Which is completely fine if we weren’t running stock trucks just for fun
@ yah it’ll traction roll on grass but on the infield dirt it drifts like a dream. Have fun!
@ I agree on the dirt the slide around perfectly. The lot we race in has a bunch of small rocks that would be no issue for a larger truck but they occasionally knock the little trucks into another direction lol. Turning the speed down helps control on correcting the steering and ends up being faster in the long run. Our local hobby shop recently had a grom race in their parking lot. I think that would be a great place to have a bit more power where you have full traction and no rocks to unsettle the whole truck
Don’t listen to all these parrots going on about brushless, if you want a brushless mojave there’s plenty on the market. Remember what you do to your car is only for you, when the time comes to sell it on not everyone wants your customised rc car knowing you pulled all the screws out and changed everything. Arrma releasing cars left right and centre I have 15 rc cars 10 of them are Arrma never had the need to change anything on them if I want a certain rc car I buy it what I don’t do is try to convert my rc car into a Bugatti
@@Bswithjay now that there’s a brushless model out with all the upgrades on it I’ll probably eventually just get one of those. Personally I enjoy modifying my RC’s and making them better. I want to enjoy it while I have it not worry about what someone else thinks about it IF I even sell it. I know I don’t mind buying used RC’s that have been modified because half the time they already have stuff I want on there anyway
Cool trx4m 😊 it will go even better with my Free Flex suspension mods 💪
Cool truck
Thanks!
Nice build! Looks super all purple. Cheers!

I want to get one too! They look sick
👍👍 super cool dude I watched the whole video watching now 6:10 PM Thursday, November 7, haven’t put mine together yet. I got the black one then I ordered the purple one, I also have the 1/24 scale. It’s also black really dig the purple with the black hood, looking good out there love your testing grounds super cool. Well I’ll watch for the next one until then. Peace and chicken grease😁👍👍👋👋😎
@@andyrichey1192 I already forget if I mentioned in the video or not but I had the white one in my cart for a while and didn’t buy it. I was going to paint it purple anyway and then when I went to commit to purchasing the body they released one that was exactly the color I wanted so I went with that one. Whenever you put yours together don’t forget to check out my IR60 first look video. I have a few tips on it there as well. It’s not an assembly video but more of a before you build check this out kind of video
Seems like heavier did better :F
@@topqualityfi8216 I sorta agree. There were definitely some lines that stock did better but overall I’m feeling more comfortable with the new setup. I’ll be posting another video soon with the new wheels and tires and it’s the best setup so far on this rig! New wheels have brass rings to get more weight down low and grippier tires now too. Little thing is a beast now lol

@@j_dogfuturefirefighter good luck! I moved from Ohio a few years back to Texas and I’m loving it here. Colorado is beautiful but I don’t think I want to deal with the cold anymore 😂
@ yeah it’s cold but I hate it I only like the cold when it snows
@@j_dogfuturefirefighter I probably wouldn’t hate the cold as much if I wasn’t a mechanic. Working on rusty cars and trucks is not fun. After being in Texas I’d have to go through a career change to move back up north lol.
@ is your job a mechanic in Texas
@ yeah, I was one in ohio as well. Definitely a lot better down here though
What state you coming from to get to Colorado
@@j_dogfuturefirefighter drove up from Texas! I need to get out there again someday
@ nice
No, the 1/24 scale is smaller body, Then the 1/18 scale body is bigger got them both
@@andyrichey1192 I don’t have a SCX24 but one of my friends has an IR60 for his that I crawled with that day. Wish I got a better look at it but with them sitting side by side they looked very similar in size. I think it’s mostly because of how much smaller the IR60 body is than the defender body mine had stock. If they’re not exactly the same they’re at least a lot closer than they normally are if that makes sense
Thanks for the in depth look. This is a really cool body set.
No problem! I try to make videos I want to watch myself and this is something I wish I saw before I bought the setup. Hopefully it helps others too
