TRX-4m gets new wheels and tires! Testing out LGRP black labels
Welcome back everyone to another episode of the Vacation crawler build. This time we are testing out 3 new upgrades including Meus beadlocks with brass center rings/barrels, injora yellow (super soft) silicone inserts and, Little Guy Racing Parts black label tires (53 or 54mm).
I’m loving the direction the truck is going and I feel like with each passing video you can really see the progression in which the truck just keeps getting better and better! There’s a few things I know for sure I’d like to upgrade. I want high clearance links, better steering, better low speed control and I think I’d be set for a while with this specific truck.

Welcome everyone to another episode of the Vacation Crawler mini build In this episode we do another round of our baseline route and test the new Injora IR60 body with the Injora universal LCG chassis. I didn’t have my wheels and tires delivered yet so the build isn’t quite complete but it’s another step in the right direction. They are installed now and will be featured in a near future episod...

What’s up guys! In this video we take a Quick Look at the new injora IR60 body for the Traxxas TRX-4m. I have my body mounted on the injora universal chassis. I’ve heard/read this body fits best on this chassis vs using their bronco/defender dedicated chassis. I wanted to make this video for others out there that had similar questions that I did while assembling the body and chassis. I hope thi...
TRX-4m First vacation crawl!

Hello everyone, in today’s video we take the vacation crawler on its first trip out of town! This was over a holiday weekend and I drove out of state to visit one of my uncles. I went to grab the crawler out of my truck to crawl in a smaller gravel/rock garden for a little bit and very quickly notice there was this awesome rock garden along the driveway. Just had to film a quick video to showca...

How’s it going everyone? In this episode we see some awesome scale RC crawlers indluding @NTX_RC fresh Econoline build and several other awesome Scale Toyota trucks. I know some of you are fans of the loud out runner style motors and you’re in luck today! There’s not one but, two! I repeat two outrunner powered rigs making a lot of ruckus throughout. If you’re not a fan of them then I’d say you...

How goes it everyone. In this episode I am introducing my newly acquired mini crawler. With this crawler I intend on throwing in a carry on bag or backpack whenever I’m going on vacation or even throwing it behind the back seat of my truck. I went on a vacation to Vancouver Canada and realized while hiking that I really want another mini truck to crawl with. I can say now that this video has be...

@@Huntersmith-123 the front actually has a spool on my truck specifically. If you look really closely you can see the wheel nut starting fall off. The axle/hex is spinning but the wheel isn’t because it’s not seated on there properly being loose 😂
Im loving mine you should check it out i have some cool free mods too , I put on 64 mm tires it really helps get the Trx4m axles up , they need ground clearance 😊
@@jimbo4203 I’ll check it out! I got the smaller tires for now since I’m stock width and didn’t want to rub. Originally got the truck to bring it with me when I travel but I’m actually starting to like it a lot and want to do more lol. I may end up widening it a bit and then throw the bigger tires on there. We’ll see how it goes. I’ve got a few parts on order right now that I think will help out a lot.
It’s a fun truck but you’ll need to upgrade the diffs and axels immediately. Also grab the Furitek Scorpion brushless power system. Not only will it be faster but the can on the motor has no holes. It eliminates pebbles from getting inside and chewing up the motor. I drive mine on softball field and the can on the brushed motor has holes. It ultimately succumbed to the dirt and smoked out on me. OR just buy the brushless version from Arrma with all the upgrades included. If I had to do it all over again I would have gone brushless.
@@Fprice2013 I have yet to buy the Typhon still and plan on getting that brushless version when I do. My Granite is almost exclusively a dog toy now haha. It just runs around in the backyard for the dogs to chase around. My Mojave I’ve left stock so far because after we go crawling we all break out our Mojave’s and have a little dirt track race for fun. I’ll probably do some reliability upgrades first but for now we are all running stock trucks. I think once we all collectively decide to go brushless then I’ll either upgrade mine or grab a new already brushless model. Funny thing is I actually turn mine down to 75% throttle because it’s easier to control on the surface we are running on. I feel like making it brushless and even faster I’d have to start really getting into better tires and shock tuning. Which is completely fine if we weren’t running stock trucks just for fun
@ yah it’ll traction roll on grass but on the infield dirt it drifts like a dream. Have fun!
@ I agree on the dirt the slide around perfectly. The lot we race in has a bunch of small rocks that would be no issue for a larger truck but they occasionally knock the little trucks into another direction lol. Turning the speed down helps control on correcting the steering and ends up being faster in the long run. Our local hobby shop recently had a grom race in their parking lot. I think that would be a great place to have a bit more power where you have full traction and no rocks to unsettle the whole truck
Cool trx4m 😊 it will go even better with my Free Flex suspension mods 💪
Cool truck
Thanks!
Nice build! Looks super all purple. Cheers!
@@MysticRiverRC thank you!
Want to snag the mini max just need that bit more ground clearance
I want to get one too! They look sick
👍👍 super cool dude I watched the whole video watching now 6:10 PM Thursday, November 7, haven’t put mine together yet. I got the black one then I ordered the purple one, I also have the 1/24 scale. It’s also black really dig the purple with the black hood, looking good out there love your testing grounds super cool. Well I’ll watch for the next one until then. Peace and chicken grease😁👍👍👋👋😎
@@andyrichey1192 I already forget if I mentioned in the video or not but I had the white one in my cart for a while and didn’t buy it. I was going to paint it purple anyway and then when I went to commit to purchasing the body they released one that was exactly the color I wanted so I went with that one. Whenever you put yours together don’t forget to check out my IR60 first look video. I have a few tips on it there as well. It’s not an assembly video but more of a before you build check this out kind of video
Seems like heavier did better :F
@@topqualityfi8216 I sorta agree. There were definitely some lines that stock did better but overall I’m feeling more comfortable with the new setup. I’ll be posting another video soon with the new wheels and tires and it’s the best setup so far on this rig! New wheels have brass rings to get more weight down low and grippier tires now too. Little thing is a beast now lol
Nice trucks and trail! Just subscribed 👍

I go to Colorado a lot I’m from Kansas and I hope I become a firefighter in Colorado Springs station #1
@@j_dogfuturefirefighter good luck! I moved from Ohio a few years back to Texas and I’m loving it here. Colorado is beautiful but I don’t think I want to deal with the cold anymore 😂
@ yeah it’s cold but I hate it I only like the cold when it snows
@@j_dogfuturefirefighter I probably wouldn’t hate the cold as much if I wasn’t a mechanic. Working on rusty cars and trucks is not fun. After being in Texas I’d have to go through a career change to move back up north lol.
@ is your job a mechanic in Texas
@ yeah, I was one in ohio as well. Definitely a lot better down here though
What state you coming from to get to Colorado
@@j_dogfuturefirefighter drove up from Texas! I need to get out there again someday
@ nice
No, the 1/24 scale is smaller body, Then the 1/18 scale body is bigger got them both
@@andyrichey1192 I don’t have a SCX24 but one of my friends has an IR60 for his that I crawled with that day. Wish I got a better look at it but with them sitting side by side they looked very similar in size. I think it’s mostly because of how much smaller the IR60 body is than the defender body mine had stock. If they’re not exactly the same they’re at least a lot closer than they normally are if that makes sense
Thanks for the in depth look. This is a really cool body set.
No problem! I try to make videos I want to watch myself and this is something I wish I saw before I bought the setup. Hopefully it helps others too
I got one for my birthday yesterday, it's the Typhon though, still kickass though too 🙏🙏🏼🙏🏼😂
@@frostlynreyes I’m thinking about getting one of those next! Enjoy!!

Nice crawling.

That was outstanding, nice driving. I knew it was gonna go up there, that was a awesome climb.👍👍
Wow, that’s impressive with the black rig , it wants it come on, dude you can do it👍👍
👍👍 yeah that was sweet with the white rig super cool
That was also sweet with the second blue rig👍👍😎
Yeah, there it is right up out of there with the blue rig. That was nice driving.👍👍😎
Dang, and I thought the green rig was in a pickle there, but he climbed right out of there that was awesome👍👍😎
Where is this place at? I would love to go crawling here, but I live in Manchester Michigan, looks like the landscaping there was made just for us RC nerds yeah love it😁👍👍😎
Yeah, that’s what it’s all about that slow and controlled crawl. Love it. ❤️👍👍😎
Wow, love that red rig within interior light on that is super cool 👍👍😎
That was nice real nice. The blue rig I thought for sure that back driver wheel was going to get stuck under that ledge that was cool.👍👍😎
Sure looks like RC heaven there, wish I had a playground like that near me here in Manchester, Michigan, super cool guys👍👍😎
Yeah, there it is they say never give up, this is the beauty of this awesome hobby sure appreciate this video👍👍😎 with the yellow rig
That was awesome. Whatever that yellow rig is, I started to say slug bug, but no, it’s not a VW that was nice.👍👍😎
@@andyrichey1192 the body on that rig is a BMW body! He’s got a lot of work done to it. Thanks for watching!

That was impressive 👍👍😁
Now that a challenging line, love it 👍👍😁
Such a awesome place to go crawling love to get my RC on there. I’m watching for Manchester Michigan. This would be so cool.👍👍😎
If you’re ever in the DFW area in Texas this is a great place to go crawling!
Yeah, there it is with the blue rig, just finding that right line👍👍
My blue truck surprises me all the time. Been told several times you can’t make a TRX-4 a good crawler and then I go out there and hit some lines that some 4 wheel steer trucks can’t hit! I will say it definitely does have a few shortcomings though. My wheelbase is a tad too short for this park and I need more steering angle but that’s a work in progress!
That was nice, loose terrain like that is a challenge. Love it.👍👍😎
@@andyrichey1192 This park is so awesome. A little over a mile of trail and lines to hit. We usually spend several hours out here crawling and having fun!
Yeah, what a awesome spot, this is what I’m talking about the beauty of this awesome Hobby 👍👍
I really like it So much❤
Thank you!
I’m stuck between what one of these to get. What one would you say is faster and just overall better?
It sorta depends on where you want to run them. The Granite does a lot better in short cut grass with the bigger tires and higher CG but the Mojave has a stronger body. Personally I like the way the Mojave drives better in the dirt but my dogs can chase the granite around in the backyard. They share the same electronics so stock for stock on pavement or dirt they should be about the same. I had a friend drive one and I drove the other around a circle track we made and it honestly ended up being who was the better driver of the two. We switched trucks and it didn’t seem like one was any faster than the other
@@drewncars9505Thanks
Never seen tires so worn, lol
@@NTX_RC when I first started going there two guys that always ran Capras had some of the most bald tires I had ever seen. This truck is a close 2nd or 3rd 😳😂
