Arrogance, Humility, and Self-Confidence
The Difference Between Arrogance and Confidence | How to Build True Confidence
#ConfidenceVsArrogance #TrueConfidence #PersonalGrowth
In this video, I discuss the distinction between arrogance and confidence and why it's crucial to understand the difference. Arrogance is often characterized by an energetic mismatch, where someone appears confident but feels insecure underneath. On the other hand, true confidence is grounded and authentic.
I also touch upon the importance of distinguishing between humility and self-deprecation. Owning your own talent is humility, while self-deprecation undermines your confidence. It's essential to be true to yourself and avoid boasting or bragging.

  • @infotechyeti

    Great video for a cornhole beginner or low intermediate player wanting to go competitive. For me... grip was an issue given the different bag options, material and fill. It took me some time to learn how bags react on the board with my throw and which grip feels best. So I integrated that into my practice and threw several different bags and tried several bags at switcholios. Fast bag throwers are probably 90% of players locally and it was hard for me to keep it on the board. But eventually I learned how to not be afraid of the fast side and now feel comfortable, most of the time, when someone hands me a Cat 3, Pro Sniper and/or Viper bag. Also, throwing home indoors is underated even if someone doesnt have the space to throw 27 feet. Its about taking those baby steps to develop a flat bag with mechanice then increase the distance little by little. Almost like Tetris, slow in the beginning then it progresses and gets harder after every level.

    I’m happy that I found you. I’m new to this wonderful game and have just begun to experience the mental side of cornhole. I’m a pretty relaxed person, discovering GH for me has been a pleasure. I have no problems putting myself out there. I don’t care what the world thinks, that being said, I do put pressure on myself because I want to be better. Better will come for me with time and game experiences. I will take something good from each loss and build on my game! I just need to be patient. I’m having so much fun, going to new places, meeting new people, experiencing new situations and shedding new skin with each one into a better version of me! One of the best motivational quotes comes from Stallone, “it’s not about how hard you can get hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and still keep moving forward”! I’m not a huge fan of him but that quote does live inside of me and I do thank him for it. Progress is progress, I don’t care how small it is. If progress was a penny on a public street with people around, would you pick it up? I would, pile a hundred of them together, you’ll have a dollar. To someone who has nothing, a dollar means something! Do it again and again and again. With enough time and effort things change. I’m that guy right now, new to the game and mentally broke. But each time before, during and after, I see change I’ll pick it up! Never Give Up, when you finally find something that brings you joy and distraction! Be Well, PS. I’m Mr. 459

    I really appreciate all of your information and I watch your cornhole mindset videos. My issue is that ive gone from a fast bag lob soft throw to a flat high rotation throw using vikings n such. Its a very different kind of throw. I feel changing my mechanics and such a large way has really set me back . I focus so much on mechanics and throwing the bag the way I feel that will make me a better player down the road but it's got me so in my head because it's so different. I've been throwing this way for a while I'm having some really hard ups and downs. I'm so in my head I feel like I'm not a good player and I just can't get out of the rut. I thank you for your vids. Im trying to drill into my head. I'm finding it really hard to stay in my body and find that moment and stay in it and believe in myself.

    • @cornholemeesh
      @cornholemeesh Год назад

      That makes total sense. When you’re in the learning phase you’ll be in your head, you’re supposed to be. The hard part is switching into automaton. And a lot of players get stuck in that transition. The goal is to learn how to easily navigate between learning and automation so you can always add different shots, changes, etc. Its no different then being at work all day and struggling to turn “work mode” off. We struggle with this in all areas of our lives. Getting in the body is not something our culture teaches us how to do. But Cornhole can be our great teacher. As cheesy as it sounds.

    Do you think a good topic would be "slumps". I think a lot of slumps are just the odds working out, but mentally, we think "I should be winning". But if I'm playing a good player in a close game, there are probably ten 50/50 shots. A slump could be hitting 3 of the 10. The next game or tourney, it evens out and you are "hot". But really, there was no slump or streak. I think there are a lot of mental bits to bot the streaks and the slumps.
