Milk cotton yarn, if you use those 3 ply yarn, the hat will turn out smaller but 5 ply cotton yarn the hat will be slightly bigger.

This is an adult size hat. You can measure the circumference of your head, take that number and divide it by 6.28 and you will get the radius of the top circle. (The radius is the size of half of the top circle) The length of the top circle in my case is about 7 inches long.
