Onewheel GT Comprehensive Review
UPDATE! (written July 2024) A lot has changed since the release of this video. You can now repair your board on your own with parts and guides being made available directly from the onewheel store. This is to comply with a new California right to repair law.
I also haven't seen anybody report issues of ghosting, so I'd consider that problem solved. I've been very happy with my board and I can still recommend people buy it.
They have also changed the default treaded tire to the performance treadded. I haven't tried it personally but it looks like they addressed people's complaints with the original tire by making it with a softer compound and thinner sidewalls to make it ride better.

Terry The Violin Craftsman
Просмотров 853 года назад
Terry Adams has been working on over 300 violins, violas, and cellos, for over 15 years. This film documents his process in making them all at the same time, one step at a time. We also explore how he got to the point of making these many instruments. Thanks to Amber Romriell for the production assistance. Shout out to Gabe Alexander for the audio advice!

Let me know if this was helpful! Comment below what I should do a video on next!
Can we get a 1 year update? what broke, what had issues, a lot of ghosting or no?
Yeah I'm considering doing an update video. I've loved my GT. I may have been a bit harsh about some things in this review. A lot has changed since then. No ghosting. Parts are now available and you can fix most things on the board yourself now. Price Dropped. It's a great time to get a Onewheel.
The background music is WAY TOO LOUD. We don’t even need it.
happy with my XR...
Yeah really good review. Just what I was looking for. Cheers!
Absolutely love mine!
Would you recommend it for a beginner?
do you live in idaho falls
Rip off!
The music makes this video almost unwatchable
Such a good looking video. Hard to believe you have only 202 subscribers
I was gonna get a Onewheel pint, but after finding out I cant to any repairs or mods to it I immediatley changed my mind.
$2250.00, are you insane ? 😂
I love both my GT and XR
guess what spoiled yuppies you can put on your gucci safety glasses and gloves and take the sharp edge down with your own hands! you could even change the grip tape too!who am i kidding get a peasant to do it for you.
Would be nice to see some idler wheels at the front of the board where it would hit the ground so it doesn't dig in.
I bought a GT last year and love it. Haven't had any ghosting issues. Ride it to work when I can
Comes free with a broken collar bone! I’m still enjoying mine!!!
Shame that no matter how cool this is I will never buy anything where I can't replace the battery. Especially a high-performance, high-drain system.
if they sent me a free Onewheel, I would make a sick Video talking about the good things about Onewheel as well!
are original GT thread tires nice and nimble? if there is a plan to change to TFL enduro, should I take the slick or thread one?
I couldn’t justify this purchase because what if I want to ride it for 15 years and see how many miles I can pack on it but I can’t repair it so if they discontinue it then it’s worthless. So I just got the pint x. I started on a used pint I got for 250 and I put 4900 miles on it and sold it for 500 😂 I wouldn’t call one wheeling a sport lol electric scooters go faster is that a sport as well?
people keep inventing more and more revoluntionary things that nobody needs...
It is cool but for the price it is not worth it. The biggest problem for me is the range. For 2250$ it can go as far as my 600$ e scooter
Totally agree about how hard they've been against stopping people from making mods and replacing parts. As someone who lives in Australia, the idea of sending the board off to the other side of the world to get a battery replaced is rough as (being an electrician myself, it rubs salt in the wound that I'd pay so much to replace a battery). Lording over having a monopoly isn't a healthy thing for a company to do to their customers, and they seem to be strongly gripping on this from their attack on mods and legal battle against Floatwheel. I'm glad they dealt with the ghosting but it seemed it was around for a decent amount of time, while when KingSong had a video come out about their product catching on fire they got straight onto having the bug fixed within a week. It's a great item, just not an ethical company towards its customers and competition.
Excellent review!
Nope! 👋🏼 😂 You can almost buy two cars with that money.
Super high quality video review!! Thank you!
This individual went over the Board thoroughly really enjoyed the video. Great job!
I had to send my original pint back right out of the box which sucked right at the start of summer when I got it, if live to get one of the newer boards though, I love my pint battery and range and speed got old fast though but I still use it like a surf board on step grassy hills with the slick tire so I'd live to kick that experience up a little
I’m 43. I purchased the GT bundle. Absolutely worth it to me. I needed something to motivate my fat a** off the couch. This thing is so much fun! I can go really slow or turn it up to 21mpr, which for me is plenty fast. I ride mine more on trails than concrete. I’m old and don’t want to brake. Of this one died on me I’ll be buying a new one asap!
im 49 and i decided to start skating again ,with a real skateboard
A lot of people talking about the battery unplugging will brick the board, but it seems like a moot point. The battery will take YEARS to wear out. My XR is incredibly healthy and gets full range despite being older. When are you realistically going to swap the battery out? Do you even have the ability or know how to take it apart? There’s people who complain about this who have never picked up a screwdriver. I just don’t really see how it’s a major issue.
What's the name of the song that starts at 4:43? Great video by the way! I'm thinking about getting a Onewheel myself, at some point.
I see you are around the boise idaho area. What would you recommend more a offroad awd scooter or a one wheel gt?
Great job
Good thing I waited all this time for them to make the right board not getting 9months ago or 7 years ago im getting it today rn after work. It should be 💯 BET
Curious if you were to put a capacitor in between the battery and the connector if you could then replace the battery since it would be hold a current, I know nothing about how that stuff works but it’s something I thought of.
Insanely well made video, great job man
Where are you riding? Beautiful trails.
I believe that’s Idaho……..Pocatello maybe
great vid, i wish i could get a pint x but being a 6'4ft 15 yr old the size becomes a bit of a problem thanks for the advice on the Gt
What do you recommend for a beginner who doesn’t even know if they’ll like one-wheeling?
Go to a dealer and do a test ride. You can look up dealers on their website. You can’t go wrong with the pintX or GT.
@@TannerFugal can’t find any places near me. Maybe I can just claim it was DOA and just send it back and say I don’t want it anymore for a full refund.
I am one of many who would never buy a GT. Bought several used XR’s for a fraction of the price of a GT. I can mod them however I want and fix/mod them however I want.
Lots of Mods for GT have been coming out since I made this video. There’s now a lot available for it. And there’s now a fix to change your battery yourself using Rewheel.

I am kide who mants to trie one of thes boreds and was wondering if you have a xr you can send to me to try I would pay for one but dont have muny and dont know if I trule want one
$2200.00? too fucking expensive
Fun is expensive, but worth it.
Not worth $2.5K for a top speed of in or around 20mph when you can get an electric unicycle that's just as stable and off-road capable for $3.5K that goes around 40mph top speed. Get the speed up to around 30mph with good ability to control speed, and I guarantee I'll buy.
Trust me you don’t want to go 30 on a Onewheel. Ask anybody who owns one. It’s about the feeling of the ride and the unique form factor. With a EUC you’ve basically have to wear full body armor because the consequences of falling are much more extreme.
This is the review I was looking for. I mean...I already bought the GT now...but I feel better about it and would have appreciated this justification earlier. Good work. To the point and researched without the extra filler. I like that filler...but this is great with it's place too. Almost more so at this point. I will report the battery thing. I understand where they are coming from, but I think there is a better happy medium for consumers here.
Glad I could help, enjoy it!
i waited over 100 miles to let air out of the stock tire. Dont. The tire is still trash, but its rideable with lower PSI. Love my GT now.
Amen, comes way too inflated from the factory. I’ve since gotten the Endure tire and I love it. It’s a lot nicer.
I’m loving my onewheel gt
does the battery fade like a cell phone over time?
All batteries will fade over time. But you can extend the life of the cells by taking good care of them. Lots of videos on that topic.
Just wait for the sensor to crap out. Mine doesnt start and FM's customer support just copies and pastes the same answer to me over and over, claiming im standing on it wrong (its my 2nd board with hundreds and hundreds of miles). Fun product. Awful customer service.
Some of those scenes look like Utah- if so, what trails you riding in the video??
