Not sure I'd want my arm's stretching by Mike's bonkers dinghy!
OK I admit to looking at pylons and telecommunications towers with great interest. Even have photos taken abroad, as they are different to UK ones. They also slightly terrify me :-)
I used to build them some years ago now but a great job at the time I was known as stepbolt
In NZ we have the Cook Straight DC cable. Its overhead in Wellington to the Haywards sub station. The insulators are much longer and there are only 2. + and - 500,000 volts. Crazy stuff.
rip flash
Need my work I am pilipino lineman transmission line
How to apply to pylon
I love this guys voice.
For some reason, I've always been interested in them. They're quite a regular thing I see, most often, during my work shifts on the railroad, and there's something I can't quite put my finger on but each one of them, with the many different insulator designs make them sort of look like they have their own personalities; similar to that of some of the locomotives I work with as well.
Flash is so right about the sunset behind pylons
I'm absolutely petrified of pylons. I've nearly crashed a number of times over the years due to absolute terror. Any advice flash?
wow i’m scared off them to i thought i was the only one
I was literally just in Braintree just before getting back and finding this video
I think this is great!
Loads of people those days are drawn in to conspiracy theories.
I used to be scared of them but nowadays I find them beautiful and awe inspiring. Our silent friendly giants supplying us with power that shouldn’t need to be changed.
can u go upto one?
@@69_MK Yeah I’m not scared of them now, they’re still a little intimidating.
When I was younger I had a phobia called Megaphobia which Is a fear of Pylons and other large objects. Nowadays they fascinate me as awe inspiring metal steel beasts that shouldn’t be there and are almost alien like. Yet there they are silently supplying us with power making the landscape looking even more pretty.
You must construct additional pylons
I've always been fascinated by Pylons. I went for a walk near Ipswich today and came near to a load of them.
Lol
Omg pylons!! I love them too XD
I dont want them to change there prefect already
I love them 🤩
@roobyrue4557 It's really odd cause I used to be mesmerised by them as a young child and everyone thought I was mad. But now there is people I can find that understand this passion.
I love them
I love your work very nice 👍
I find them Attractive Just as they are, Beautician Experts are the Pakistanis, in terms of Architecture!
Where is the one at 0:02 located? Huge insulators, yet only a single conductor per phase? Fascinating.
Pylons in France a awesome 😍💖😁
I use to love them as a kid every time i went on a trip i watched everyone of them and i always wondered where the lead to ... Edit : I still love them and i draw them :D
12 years ago is it different
Why not have local power station because of the wast of voltage drop
No! We are not children... this modern obsession with making everything 'whacky or 'with a twist' drives me nuts. The traditional pylon is an absolute masterpiece of engineering and design. Haven't people heard of Form & Function?.
RIP Flash (1975-2020).
Wait what?!
@@squidonyourhead It's true! The champion for pylons is sadly no longer with us.
Ahhh what happened to her?
Hell with watching them let's go climb them Damn things
What's next communication 5g towers spotting must be a new sporting event now 🤔🤔
Boring like Football
I love the lattice work and geometrically wonder of them. Set against sunsets or sometimes if you look down on them, they look like a gossima spider's Web. I've photographed French cats heads and Japanese red and white pylons. I don't know the types but still love masts and pylons. BTW John Most of them are 50 metres or 165ft tall.
They look amazing get the T pylon out and more with the big metal ones in
4:59 "And you love g-G-gYlons" XD
Some pylons look like lord business from Lego movie when he's really tall
A pylon...........next to a park
Where they are sitting in the field doing the interview I believe the location is dobbs weir. Right next to north londons main supply of electricity. The site of an ex coal fired station that is now a modern closed cycle gas turbine and even more recently added bio reactor next to the site to support it.
There's a really good place at Grendon Lakes in Northamptonshire
No the bank defaulted not the country
I have to break cover and confess to loving Pylons, I’ve loved them since I first saw them when I was 3-4, it’s been a private passion though ever since then as genuinely many believe it’s weird and I don’t blame them...
My son Ben loves them. He's got a lot of pictures of them and their good!
Thanks
My dad took pictures of me pretending to hold pylons
I'm obsessed with pylons.

@@bradhowarth1405 you need to chill out if you get so angered over a simple, harmless comment. Wtf...
They become alive at night......
My son Ben loves them. He's got a lot of great pictures of them
Florida has three phase grouped wire pylons 3 phase 6 wire pylons
