The 1964 FA Cup Final was contested by West Ham United and Preston North End at Wembley on May 2nd. West Ham won 3 2, with goals from John Sissons, Geoff Hurst and Ron Boyce. Doug Holden and Alex Dawson scored Preston's goals. Preston's Howard Kendall became the youngest player to play in a Wembley FA Cup Final, aged 17 years 345 days. This was the first time West Ham won the FA Cup.
