THE STATUS OF OUR MESSENGER ﷺ - USTAZ NOUMAN ALI KHAN
Music is a gray area. We were told to stay away from the gray area. In addition, if one doesn’t know Arabic and cannot recite the entire Quran, front to back, then they should be learning how to instead of listening to music. Once one can recite the entire Quran, the appetite for music will be dead; because The Quran is much more potent. Submission to The Will of Allah is the goal.
Music is Halal or Haram may not be the big issue what I see you guys are making money by making that kind of video where are you pulling the leg of someone else on that small issue we have a bigger issue where Uman need help talk about genocide in Palestine a big issue and stop making money by RUclips
Yeah but there are so many muslim singers that are usler talented in the arabic world. The arabic music culture is super big and well recognized. For example Hussain al Jassmi, he is muslim, I'm doing a haram if I listen to him?
How about Islamic kasidah music about praising Allah and the prophets of Allah is that Haram also , when the prophet s.a.s. was entering the city of madina for the first time there was songs of praise and drums as music praising Allah and the prophet is that Haram too , the source of music is what makes it haram and that is what the Shiak sheick is talking about and most important the lyrics of music makes it Haram
Well, if you haven't worked it out yet, doesn't that say something? 😮
Bro, half nakedness and alcohol is everywhere... That's why allah prohibited it explicitly in Quraan... But the point here is not that music is not mentioned explicitly but it's not in our control... I can lower my gaze and I can deny alcohol if served... But I cannot put my mobile switched off for it to not make any musical sounds... I need a music or a sound in form of notification and caller tone, etc... If I deliberately indulge in it with forgetting allah and taking someone else too... Then it is halal, as I believe from the verse mentioned in surah luqman...
There is no place in the heart for both music and Qur'an. Sooner or later the one could kick the other out.. Its not worth the risk.. Fill your heart with the Qalam of Allah, it will purify it and save it from contamination
Hafizaullah ❤
Music as Music is not prohibited in the Quran because if it was ...God would have warned us, you who have believed, stay away from Music, Lyrics and Video can be more haram than Music itself.
If DIVERSION is haram then COMMERCE is also haram. Quran, verse 62:11 of Surat Al-Jumu'ah states, "Say, 'What is with Allah is better than DIVERSION and than a TRANSACTION , and Allah is the best of providers'". This verse is a rebuke to Prophet Muhammad while he was giving his Friday sermon to pursue trade. The verse is a reminder that what Allah has to offer, such as the pleasures of paradise for those who obey Allah and His Prophet, is better than the distractions of games, entertaining or something that is entertaining or enjoyable Diversion and Commerce are mentioned together meaning that both are not haram but can neglect remembering Allah.
'Abdallah ibn Mas'ud was not the messenger of Allah. So, his speech is only his own opinion. Nor 'Abdallah ibn 'Abbas. And science of hadith is scam. Nobody can judge the honesty and evaluate the memory of dead people.
This guy is spreading so much fitnah. Wallahul Musta'an.
Why is islam becoming so strict? Let people live. Learn how to make great music.
This is a very Wahhabi viewpoint. The sufis listen to music all the time and have no problem with it.
Sufism also do shirk in some occasion. Like Hallaj and grave worshippers. Do take your religion from the prophet and His companions

I love to dance to qwwali. Its so spiritual. Im Hindu and Muslim from my family and I love both.
The Prophet (SallAllahu `alayhi wa sallam) said (which means), “From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful. And there will be some people who will stay near the side of a mountain and in the evening their shepherd will come to them with their sheep and ask them for something, but they will say to him, ‘Return to us tomorrow.’ Allah will destroy them during the night and will let the mountain fall on them, and He will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs and they will remain so till the Day of Resurrection.” [Al-Bukhari Volume 7, Book 69, Number 494v]. Abu Hurayrah (RadiyAllahu`anhu) narrated that the Prophet (SallAllahu `alayhi wa sallam) said, what translated means, group of this nation will be transformed into monkeys and swine.” They said, “Do not they testify that there is no god except Allah and that Muhammed is His Messenger?” He said, “Yes. And also they fast pray and perform Hajj.” They said, “Then, what is their problem?” He said, “They use musical instruments, drums and female singers. (One day) they will go to sleep after a night of drinking and having fun, In the morning, they will be transformed (by Allah) into monkeys and swine.” [Iughathat Al-Lahfan].
I was very shocked by Nouman Ali Khan that he didn’t point blank say it’s haram instead he was referring to the specifics of Hadith ???
When it comes to music and musical instruments, there is no clear-cut evidence in the Qur’an or Hadith that explicitly states they are haram. This lack of explicit prohibition is why we see differing opinions among scholars. The problem arises when we dig deeper into the language used in the Hadiths and how these terms are interpreted. Let’s talk about the specific words used to refer to music in hadithes, such as *ghina*, *shir*, *ma'azif*, *mizmar*,mizhar and whatnot. The issue is that these words have been used in Hadiths both positively and negatively. What often happens is that some scholars focus only on the Hadiths where these terms are used negatively and then conclude that all musical instruments are haram. For example, take the word ghina*. In some Hadiths, *ghina might be used in a negative context, and those who oppose music might translate it into English as “musical instruments” to support their view. But 'ghina' can also mean singing or a type of vocal music, which has been used positively in other Hadiths. Similarly, the word 'shir' usually means poetry. There are Hadiths where 'shir' is criticized severely, and by that logic, one could argue that poetry is haram. But we also have Hadiths where poetry is praised, showing that it’s not inherently haram. The same applies to the word 'ma'azif*. This term has also been used positively in some contexts. And they argue *'daff' as the only permissible instrument, but we also see 'mizhar' and 'mizmar' in the Hadiths. These terms refer to musical instruments like tambourines and flutes, and there are Hadiths where they are used in contexts, such as when guests come to a Sahaba’s house, not only during Eid or wedding ceremony as they claim. Furthermore, there is a hadith, in which Abu Musa, a Sahabi, who was reciting the Qur’an beautifully. The Prophet (peace be upon him) praised his voice, comparing it to a *mizmar*, which means flute. If the flute were haram, why would the Prophet compare something as noble as Qur’anic recitation to it? It’s like saying the Prophet would compare a pleasant drink to wine, which is clearly haram. He wouldn’t do that because he wouldn’t compare something good to something that is haram. So, when the Prophet compared Abu Musa’s voice to a flute, it indicates that the flute was not considered haram. This example shows that the blanket prohibition of musical instruments is not as clear as some might suggest. The arguments against music and musical instruments often rely on selective interpretations of the Hadiths. When we look at the broader context and the varied use of these terms, we see that the issue is not as black and white as it’s often portrayed. Regarding the hadith where it says that there will be a time when people will consider illegal sexual intercourse, silk, alcohol, and musical instruments (*ma'azif*) to be halal. However, it’s important to understand the nuances here. The word ‘ma'azif’ is used in that Hadith, which they interpret as referring to musical instruments in general. But here’s the thing. The same Hadith is also found in Musnad Ahmad. In that Hadith the word used in place of ‘ma'azif is daff*-the same *daff that is generally considered halal during Eid and weddings by these people. So, if you’re saying that the Prophet (peace be upon him) was speaking about musical instruments in general being considered haram, then you also have to accept that daff is included in that category according to the version in Musnad Ahmad*, which then will contradict the hadithes in which daff has been used in front prophet with prophet allowing it. And since they already believe *daff is halal at least in specific contexts, this raises questions about the interpretation of ma'azif in the other Hadith. This is precisely why there’s a difference of opinion on this matter. Scholars who believe music is halal have looked into these nuances deeply and concluded that the Prophet (peace be upon him) was talking about these things being used negatively, not necessarily that the items themselves are always haram. It’s about the context, the circumstances, and the purpose for which they are used. There is a Hadith reported by Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that’s found in both Bukhari and Muslim. In this Hadith, Aisha(r) narrates that women were gathered, talking about their husbands, and a 10th woman mentioned her husband, Malik. She described him as having many camels but only a little space for them to graze. When the mizhar*,which Imam Nawawi explained as *al-‘ūd alladhī yadribu (meaning a flute or similar instrument)was played, the camels understood it was time for them to be slaughtered. This Hadith shows that when a guest visited the Sahaba, they would use musical instruments, including mizhar*. Imam Nawawi also mentioned that Malik would bring out *mizhar*, *ma'azif*, and drinks for the guests. The word *ma'azif is the same term used by Imam Nawawi which they referred to when arguing that musical instruments are haram. This is why it is important to understand the fact that these terms-*ghina*, *shi'r*, *daf*, *mizmar*, *mizhar*, and *ma'azif*-have all been used in both positive and negative contexts in the Hadith literature. Scholars who believe music is halal have delved deeply into this, analyzing the full spectrum of usage and context. They concluded that it’s not appropriate to label musical instruments as categorically haram or halal. Instead, it depends on the context, purpose, and manner in which they are used. On the other hand, scholars who argue against music tend to focus on Hadiths where these terms are used negatively and conclude that musical instruments are haram. However, this perspective doesn’t take into account the broader context or the Hadiths where these terms are used in a neutral or positive light. This is why pro-music scholars argue that musical instruments aren’t unconditionally haram. The permissibility or prohibition depends on how they are used, the circumstances surrounding their use, and the intention behind their use. It’s a more nuanced position that considers the full picture rather than focusing on isolated instances. Allah knows Best.
Jazakallahu khairan for your detailed explanation brother. This seems to be a very middle-ground perspective. I would love to know your credentials, please.
As Salamu Alaykum During Eid and special occasions yes the scholars say it’s allowed with evidence. Which is what you mentioned However in general which most people do it’s haram.
Allah Subhanu Wa Ta Ala knows best. May Allah forgive us for our errors and weaknesses
And regarding with what you said near the end i haven’t heard about. And there’s more than literature evidence to music being bad. It makes you forget reality, forget Allah, become addicted to it.
you talked about hadith but what about quran. If its been so clearly interpretated in quran there would be no need of looking into controversial hadiths
,I dont but i put on music or series sound, to keep away the devil sounds I hear like crraaiiiq all the time and other sounds, like sky singing outside of my house or through my wind turbine cooler... allah al hamd said in quran haram is pork flesh, but at the end of the haram verses said, if for necessary then it is allowed and I think music is necessity here for me or else would go crazy lol... reason why dont put on quran, well do, but quran the satellites bothering me lock on the what is said and put a block to attack or like that... so my music is bassboosted twerk trap music to get rid of their evil sounds not meaning quran here if you understand me correctly.... but know my suras for salat so all good... p.s. didnt check if allah al hamd really said music is haram or just warned about it... but keep it to this... but no alcohol is not said by allah al hamd alcohol is haram, allah al hamd just warned about it and that it might take away you from salat like in surah maeda(last surah about alcohol) and haram is stated for things like pork flesh or drinking blood and not alcohol
I think its haram because of the distraction from god.
But that statement can be easily applied to anything ex.whatching movies, going out with friends, working, school...
Having low value and low self esteem are not the same: value comes from acknowledging your importance just for existing. Self esteem is another thing : it is the experience that you have about yourself to yourself : it is like the answer to the question : how do you describe yourself in one sentence ?
this is not islam
This channel owner did a bad job putting their pictures together in the thumbnail.
Detailed enough alhamdulillah
If it is not mentioned in the Quran and Hadith then it is halal what makes it haram is the use and content. To add halal and haram in the religion is a major sin. All of those scholars that you mention are not prophets and that is their interpretation. The whole zaboor is songs.
Not all music is haram
Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “This idafah [possessive or genitive construction, i.e., your voice] serves to make the meaning specific, as with the phrases [translated as] “your cavalry” and “your infantry” [later in the same ayah]. Everyone who speaks in any way that is not obedient to Allah, everyone who blows into a flute or other woodwind instrument, or who plays any haram kind of drum, this is the voice of the Shaytan. Everyone who walks to commit some act of disobedience towards Allah is part of his [the Shaytan’s] infantry, and anyone who rides to commit sin is part of his cavalry. This is the view of the Salaf, as Ibn ‘Abi Hatim narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas: his infantry is everyone who walks to disobey Allah.” (Ighathat al-Lahfan). Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Do you then wonder at this recitation (the Quran)? And you laugh at it and weep not, Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing)” [al-Najm 53:59-61] ‘Ikrimah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: it was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that al-sumud [verbal noun from samidun, translated here as “Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing)”] means “singing”, in the dialect of Himyar; it might be said “Ismidi lana” [‘sing for us’ - from the same root as samidun/sumud] meaning “ghaniy” [sing]. And he said (may Allah have mercy on him): When they [the kuffar] heard the Quran, they would sing, then this ayah was revealed. Ibn Kathir (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “Allah says (interpretation of the meaning) “Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing)” - Sufyan al-Thawri said, narrating from his father from Ibn 'Abbas: (this means) singing. This is Yemeni (dialect): ismad lana means ghan lana [sing to us]. This was also the view of ‘Ikrimah.” (Tafsir Ibn Kathir) Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Do not sell singing slave women, do not buy them and do not teach them. There is nothing good in this trade, and their price is haram. Concerning such things as this the ayah was revealed (interpretation of the meaning): {And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music, singing) to mislead (men) from the path of Allah…} [Luqman 31:6].” (Hasan hadith) The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Among my ummah there will certainly be people who permit zina, silk, alcohol and musical instruments…” (Narrated by al-Bukhari ta’liqan, no. 5590
😂 equivalent of real life plot armor for muslims SubhanAllah
To judge something first we have to define it, or what principle in Usul al fiqih says " حكم على الشي فرع تصوره. So what is music ?
If you think music is halaal i pray those lyrics are the last words on your tongues before you die rather than the shahada.. If not then you got your answer.
😮👎👎👎😡😡
*Conclusion:* In the light of the above evidences from the Qur’an, sayings of our beloved Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give peace) and texts of the various Fuqaha, the following is the decisive ruling with regards to Music: Musical instruments that are solely designed for entertainment are unlawful, with or without singing. However, to play the tambourine (daf) at weddings (and other occasions according to some fuqaha) will be permissible.
Sahih al-Bukhari 5590 Narrated Abu 'Amir or Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari: that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful. And there will be some people who will stay near the side of a mountain and in the evening their shepherd will come to them with their sheep and ask them for something, but they will say to him, 'Return to us tomorrow.' Allah will destroy them during the night and will let the mountain fall on them, and He will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs and they will remain so till the Day of Resurrection."

I dont understand how people make music equal to Alchohol when Alchohol when Alchohol being haram came in Quran while Music being forbidden in Hadith and in those same books of hadith (specifically in bukhari) it is shown stuff like ansari female playing music in the house of the prophet and he enters and doesnt stop the ansari female from continuing the music another hadith stating that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to Aisha (RadiAllah anha) to bring singing ladies to a marriage of an ansar as they are fond of music so how in God's earth is Music is equavalent or comparable to Alchohol is beyond me.

Usage of musical instruments are haram indeed in singing and hence when we talk about today's music, it is known by necessity that its all BS. Incites hypocrisy. There is enough evidence from Quran and authentic Ahadith, the Athar, and concensus of Scholars of the past. Those who try to justify are ignorant heads and know nothing how a ruling is derived from Quran and Sunnaah and the interpretation of the pious predecessors who followed them. Those who want to listen will keep listening to it even if angels meet him and tell him clearly as this fellow is misguided and chosen to be misguided due to the covering of sins around his heart. How can a mere innocent lecture of half an hour will penetrate his heart and make any impact? This guy needs surgery
just think that (let's hope absolutely not) we could be among the people of hell, so there is little to listen to music.. let's think about preparing answers to Allâh Glory be to Him the Most High. Then if you are one who listens to music, after doing so, note if your faith has increased (I don't think so) so this is another proof that it is Haraam.. finally (and this is better than said above) there are authentic Ahadith like Sahih Al-Bukhari, 7/5590 as clear as the sun regarding this topic. and Ibn Mas'ud (Faqiih by the way) swore to Allâh that the Ayah 31 6 وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَشْتَرِي لَهْوَ الْحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ And of mankind is he who purchases Lahu Al-Hadith to mislead (men) from the path of Allâh, it refers to singing. who are we near all this to say otherwise... let us be sincere and the truth will appear.. Allâh knows what is in the hearts.
its not about rejecting a hadith its about rejecting a certain interpretation of Hadith which Muslims have been doing forever a Hadith is not the actual words of prophet saw it is the words of narrators they differ in the selection of their words anyone who reads any Hadith compilation would understand this Hadiths r not transmitted word to word but transmitted as only meaning therefore muhadithun have always interpreted Hadith through quran or through reason saying a sahabi is saying this is not correct understanding of hadith
correct
The Jewish people own their story. Various empires confirm the Jewish story. This story continued through Europe, North Africa, Ethiopia, Iraq, Iran until they returned to their ancestral homeland. Jews were forced out of Judea which was renamed Palestine. The world persecuted and killed them but they returned home. Islam copied the Jewish story, Jewish prophets and kings and claim their version is the truth. How can that be? What is the proof that the Quran came from God directly. What is the imperical and archeological proof of the existence of Mohammed. Why was a mosque built on a Jewish Temple during the Muslim ottoman rule? The Jewish story was copied and altered to create Islam.

If imams are your gods, why you even care, hell is certainty for such belief.

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious and Most Merciful And those who disbelieve are allies of one another, (and) if you (Muslims of the whole world collectively) do not do so [i.e. become allies, as one united block under one Khalifah (a chief Muslim ruler for the whole Muslim world) to make victorious Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism], there will be Fitnah (wars, battles, polytheism) and oppression on the earth, and a great mischief and corruption (appearance of polytheism). 8: 73 Why are we Muslims not talking about reestablishing the power and control Allah SWT give us from the beginning? The command is to unite under one Khalifah. The number one concern on the minds of the Muslims is the tragedy in Gazza. The destruction in Gazza is worse than that of Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined. The Zionist Israelis are the modern day Amelak as they were a tribe from nation of the Israelites and their brutality in Gazza and West Bank is the evidence. We have to listen to what Allah SWT is saying to us in the above verse and from the beginning. "And Remember when your Lord said to the Angels, I am going place Khalifah on earth".... 2: 30 You see the UN which controlled by USA, is dead body in the muddy water as every resolution passed by majority, is vetoed by USA. Which means we have to create a balance of power in the world by creating United League of Muslim Nations. Which is to reestablish the Caliphate because we are children of Adam, peace be upon him . "United League of Muslim Nations" under one Khalifah will be a strictly defensive Force with a quick response to any threat to the Ummah of Islam. And it is easy to do it. It will be the Council of Muftis, from which they will choose the Khalifah. Under the Khalifah will be a seat for a Mufti from every country in world with 100,000 plus Muslim population as Islam is for entire World. From every municipality we will choose a representative till we have the Council of Muftis for that country with a Grand Mufti of that country to sit in the Council of Muftis under the Khalifah. All communication can be done remotely with everyone working from home. Most effective and real democratic way of governing where all decisions are made by the Council of Muftis but the Khalifah having the final say. Under the Khalifah, the "ULMN" will have its own army, navy and Air Force under one commander for defending the entire ummah. We already have the hardware from major Muslim countries. They just have to be relabeled "ULMN" when they out to defend any part of the Ummah like removing the Mediterranean Sea blockade by Israelis. The four letters "ULMN" will be enough to deter anyone from doing what is happening in Gazza today. But we have to be the Nation of Al Muttaqun for Allah SWT is saying now: "You are the Best of People ever raised up for Mankind, enjoying what is Good, forbidding what is evil and believing in Allah SWT" .... Quran 3: 110 Then how can we go wrong when the fear of "ULMN" will overwhelm the hearts of our enemies? That is what Islam is and we are Muslims to resolve every matter in a Peaceful manner, Insha Allah. Alhamdu Lillah. If no one is willing to act as the acting Khalifah, I will be the acting Khalifah till one is chosen and sincerely invite all Muslims to join me in this effort, for if we fail but we will never fail, we will still get one Hashanah for our intentions, Insha Allah Jazak Allah Khair Your brother Abu Saad Acting Khalifah (as Son of Adam, AS)
