Eurythmics were young and broke…. no money… Dave Stewart put on a suit and went to a bank to request a loan. The guy at the bank said, “Seriously you want me to give you a loan to by instruments?” Luckliy for Dave the banker had a love of music so Dave got the loan and he bought a synthesizer. He and Annie Lennox had it set up and started playing around with it and “Sweet Dreams are Made of This” was born. The lyrics, “Hold your head up, Keep your head up” was added in the middle in reference to don’t give up on your dream.

I love playing oddball, obscure, and obsolete gear, and learning all of their little idiosyncrasies.. Like my plastic Tigre guitar, made by Emanee, of all people. Unique sounding, to put it mildly...My big old Casio keyboard, my 55+ year old Kent 54 student guitar from Tiesco or Tokai... Nobody is really sure...The Bass? MIM Fender Mustang with the PBJ pickups and a short scale, of course.....
