Thanks for bringing us this service, it's good that you are back. I wrote a similar comment about Compline on Candlemas Eve this year, that was full of glorious early music too. As then, this service gives comfort, and in a world with yet another war. God bless

choral evensong is a beautiful tradition. i am from usa, and we do not have it here. every time i travel to britain, i attend evensong as a great high moment of my visit.

Congratulations to the musical director and choristers. What a wonderful example of this most beautiful hymn.

Listening to this again. I remember Mr Allwood’s visit to Pretoria with the Eton College Choir in 2008. It was a privilege for me to join the choir when they sang at my parish church (Christ Church, Arcadia), and to precent at Evensong. Greetings from Bloemfontein, South Africa.

This is wonderful. The musicianship here is of the very highest calibre.

I watch services from several Oxbridge chapels, and comment on this Evensong because it's full of glorious early music and sublime singing.Selwyn is the only chapel,that I've seen, where one of the choir is crucifer at every Evensong,it means so much.God bless.
