Healthcare and Childbirth Experience in the Netherlands, with Tegah
Great information regarding your finger injury. While on vacation in New Mexico, I slipped and landed on my right index finger. My finger was bend backwards and looked deformed so I pulled my finger back place. My finger was very swollen and I had intense pain so went to the ER. The X-ray came back: Volar plate injury with an avulsion fracture. My index and middle fingers were splinted together using two pieces of tape and I was told to see a hand surgeon. It took 9 days until I got to see an hand surgeon. I was given a metal splint with cushion which covered my entire index finger and since I was leaving in 2 days, I was told to see another hand surgeon at home. Amazingly, I got an appointment the very next day after my trip. Hand surgeon took another X-ray and said, don't baby your finger from now on and threw my splint away. Instead, he told me to do some hand exercises 5 times every hour even if your finger hurts. He said,"no pain no gain.". Well, I followed his advice and endured the pain. It's been 4 weeks since the accident and I must say it worked. I still have a swollen finger but I'm able to make a fist and slowly regaining my strength back with no crooked finger. My next appointment will be 2 months after the fall and I have not been to occupational therapist. He said, I'm doing real good with my exercise that I don't need a therapist. I hope he right.
Your video really helped a lot . For the biometrics , did you have to go have to go to the mission to do the biometrics or the Nigerian embassy has like an office in different cities close to you where you do your biometrics. Traveling can be expensive
I'm glad this video was helpful. Yeah we used Den Haag (i think the only city which has embassy in the Netherlands), so it wasn't a long travel. Depending on your country, they might have or not. I think the full list is here: foreignaffairs.gov.ng/mission/
Waiting patiently for your response
@ you have a list of stuffs needed for this application. Can you share that link too
Thank you for this video. It is informative and interesting and your manner of presenting this information is welcoming. I'll be visiting Amsterdam in April and look forward to experiencing this cycle culture.
Biking in the cold and rain is great. It feels like you are alive !!!
Haha indeed very true
Very insightful video!
Thanks for engaging :)
Can you be on a scholarship but still work just because you want to?
@@oladojafortuneabiodun7788 you can either work as a student with maximum of 16 hours per week or choose to work only in the summer months of June- August full time and this will mean not being able to work during the other months
Loveee videos like this 😊
haha thank you

😊
Its the name in full for me😄Well done!
I had to cut the part out...but I also was shocked with the full name haha
My bro😅
Great story telling! Love this format
Thanks so much! and thanks for engaging
Thanks so much for sharing your story! I've been dealing with the same injury for the past 5 months. The ER doctor told me the x-ray showed no irregularities, gave me a splint, and just told me to let it heal and wait. So I waited........and waited...........and waited. Big mistake. Three months later when it wasn't healing properly I finally got started with physical therapy. By then the scar tissue had really built up and my time window to fix it was pretty limited. Now I'm five months since the injury and it's still very stiff unless I'm warmed up and constantly working on mobility exercises, plus some arthritis issues now which makes it hard to function. The misdiagnosis was very frustrating, knowing that they could have done much more to help my situation and start therapy earlier 😩 It's always a good idea to be proactive on your own behalf, because the doctors won't do it for you. Hard lesson learned. Anyways, congrats on your progress, looks like you're doing great! Wish I could get my hand to make a fist like that again 😅
This is so sad to hear and really messed up, I'm sorry you had to go through this. Yes, one needs to proactive instead of feeling "it will get better" One thing I can say though is, when I got to therapy, I actually doubted my finger could get/look better, and months later, I was surprised. So I'd encourage that you don't lose hope as physical therapy can be quite helpful from my experience. Hopefully you can make a fist soon, too. Thanks for sharing your story too. I didn't know people would be able to relate to my story.
@@DillionMegida Thanks, I appreciate the encouragement! I'm definitely still working at it 👍 It's mainly this arthritis that seems to be hindering me at the moment so maybe that will improve over time. Yeah I'm not sure how common the injury is, I was just searching youtube for info on volar plate injuries and just happened to come across your video 😁
Great story telling and editing bro. Delft has over the years also slowly become one of my favourite cities in the Netherlands. The view from the church tower is definitely worth it if you ever get the chance to go back to Delft. Plus the Delftware museum is also definitely recommended, been there a couple of times already but still impressed every time I go back.
Nice nice….go to Texel for us😉🙏
This is new 🤩
1584 days streak! 👑
This was helpful... Funnybody
If only this was how they taught most of us in secondary school and university, we would have gotten better scores
This country is so ass backwards, just do a E Visa and call it a day smh 🤦
Hi,bro can you told me please what is the documents needs for residence permit IF I GOES TO THE IND
Chief, thanks so much for this! Exactly in the same situation, and you just saved me from making exactly the same mistakes you did.
Great video by the way. I'm currently in the process of obtaining citizenship through maternal heritage, as I found that this is one of the ways to do it. However, the embassy has given me different stories, and I'm unsure if I should continue. What would you advise? Thank you for your guidance.

Do you have to write English exams if You have English proficiency letter from your undergrad studies
Hey Dillion. I had watched your career and interview tips playlist and there is a video you mentioned websites you used to apply for jobs. I didn’t note them down and forgot them. I tried to rewatch them to find where you mentioned them but couldn’t find it. Please can you mention the websites you use to apply for jobs 🙏🏾. I’ll appreciate it. Thanks
Taxes are a direct contribution as well.
You can reach out to Victor on IG here: www.linkedin.com/in/victor-onazi/ I noticed one question wasn't really answered. Victor did the "Exceptional Promise" which requires experience of 5 years or less.
You forgot to mention that becoming a Dutch also means you give back to the state by working (tax), volunteering or donate money or something similar to those 🫣🫣🫣
Oh I had no idea of those. Could you please share a resource where I can learn more about this?
Hello please I need your assistance to get the theory done and a good driving lesson teacher
Very sorry about that Dillion. I just hope it didn't seriously affect work and all that. Surprised that I didn't even notice anything of the sort in your posts.
Thank you very much. It didn't affect my work a lot physically, as I could still type, but the pain and hospital visits was a bit of mental stress
I truly appreciate this video, the best among all in RUclips. Good timing 😊👍
I'm really glad to hear
You did a great job with the questions and interviews. Will encourage people to watch this
I'm glad you think it's a great interview. And thanks for sharing
Relocation expert, Opor, well done bro

I take it that you have heard from Victor right?
@DillionMegida yes. I have heard from him. Thank you

I imagine those 3 months being laid off must have been very scary😮. Glad it worked out in the end
Yeah I'm really glad it worked out in the end. It was a close call
I needed this 😂. I’m a CS student and I’m so addicted to social media. I keep procrastinating studying for exams and doing side projects because when I open social media I spend too much time there 😢
haha i hope that some of the tips i share here can help you
keep phone far away turn off all notifications remove social media from your secondary phone Use web versions of Apps and only on your laptop/desktop Setting time limits for apps (on your phone; phone settings) Nice one!
This is really helpful. Thank you for sharing
i'm glad to hear :)
🎉🎉
Being a dad already reduced my screen time by 50% 😂
😂😂
valid 😂
Putting my phone far away works magic especially when I'm so invested in a project I'm handling at the time. But thank you for sharing other tips, saw this on LinkedIn and decided to come watch the full video 😃
i'm glad you found this helpful :) haha welcome from linkedin
this is so helpful. I have found out that using the web version of social media apps more helpful with limiting the time I spend there. Its a lot easier to "doom scroll" on the mobile apps
