East Broad top Railway
today we will be at the East broad top railway a National historic land mark witch is the only Original 3ft narrow gauge railway East of the Mississippi of the USA, the Railroad first open in 1871, and closed in 1956, then reopen for Tourist operations from in 1960 by Nick Kovalchick, president of Kovalchick Salvage, and the operating lease ran out in 2011 with the East Broad Top Railroad Preservation. and the new owner EBT foundation bought the railroad in 2020 with the first train under the new owner in 2021 with M7. and steam returning in 2023 with locomotive 16. sadly 16 did not pull trains for the narrow gauge convention since the crew was having issues with a Hot barring on driver n...

we go for a Ride on East Broad top railroad motor car M3. we will head south from Orbisonia, Pennsylvania to crossing at Highway 475 and back north to the yard. M3 was built from scratch in the EBT shops originally with a Maxwell engine, transmission, and rear end. In 1928, it was rebuilt with a Nash drive train and numbered “M-3

On October 28th at the peak of southern Michigan fall color Little river railroad out of Coldwater Michigan had locomotive 110 pulling an hour and half trip to Quincy and back to Coldwater. we catch the train in Quincy to watch the locomotive to run around its train.

as part of the 2023 regional convention for the North Central Region of the NMRA ( national model railroad Assassination ), the Fort Wayne railroad Historical Society offered throttle time on there 44ton Davenport locomotive, in this video you get to watch me at the controls.

there a railfan pack in Franklin park. when 2816 came in there was alot railfans in the park and station. im not to sure on the rules for the stations in Chicago area im not from around there...
