Really enjoyed this recital.
Lovely interview!
Superb interview! Thank you for this.
Ariana, that was playful and brilliant!
Wonderful! Sorry I couldn't be there in person.
Really enjoyed this performance. Why not edit out the first 5 mins of nothing!!
李云迪的气质高雅,大方,与生俱来!

Most illuming, thanks!
❤😂🎉😢😮😅❤😂🎉😢😮😅❤
Lovely recital. Audio for recording can be reviewed for possible improvements
Fabulous ❤
Great duo with Wendy Fidler too. I couldn't make it in person but am loving the recording here.
Hey, this guy's pretty good!
Concert of the century 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Loved the Bach, then all the liveliness and freshness of your compositions - a musical treat. Thank you!
Wonderful recital! So enjoying being able to listen to your performance and compositions again (and again...).
Lovely voicing of Bach, especially in the fugue.
Pretty strange music
This is amazing!!! 🤭
Wonderful musicianship. Thanks so much for streaming and well done to all the performers
Saddened. No longer have the ability to travel to your concerts from Leighton buzzard. Not quite the same atmosphere on line. However over the years your concerts showcase the outstanding achievements of the college
Superbe. Concert. Thanks
Genius!
Were the first 9 minutes or so part of the performance??
Félicitations Demoiselle!!!!
nice
Très bien joué, avec une belle palette sonore. Bravo.
He sounds exactly like how I would picture the the person running the Sorabji archive to sound. Thanks for keeping these amazing compositions alive, you’re doing a great service to piano literature.
who reads the newspaper know that we do not live in a rose garden of romantic French chansons, but in a dangerous universe of climate change, nuclear arms race, Ukraine war and economic inequality, what is perhaps lacking in your musical career so far is political awareness and activism, your concerts with Odile is too much fancy l'art pour l'art, whilst your concerts will be so much more meaningful when they cover themes that are critical in the world of today as you build an edge for yourself by creating a unique avant-garde repertoire. Singing Kurt Weil (Zuerst das Essen dan die Moral) is a good first stop. Another one is John Rutter, prayer for Ukraine. Are you an empty entertainer or a protest singer with intelligence, that is the question. Good luck with everything
Do continue your collaboration with Odile Sablayrolles since she has an excellent reputation both as a church organist and an (eclectic) pianist playing classic, pop and jazz with the same rigorous passion and intelligence, bon courage in your future career as a concert singer - Dr Michael
Какой необычный талант! Очень интересный!
I love his work but really hate that he sounds so much like Roger Scruton!
interesting observation! They speak at about the same speed but the intonation is quite different to my ears.
@@MorganHayes_Composer.Pianist I guess you're right, and besides, Scruton sounds even posher and is far more irritating!
A delectable delight
Beautifully played
what fun!
Congratulations to Philip and all the performers! Well done and very atmospheric ❤❤
Enjoy 🎉❤❤

Great
28min intro
beyond beautiful !!
Thank you for posting this extremely interesting interview. Mr. Finnissy's statements are very crucial for any serious discussion of music today. As far as Schönberg is concerned, I would stress that he wanted to devise a method for making motivic relations even denser rather then controlling harmonic coherence. Quite often he composed against the grain of the harmonic implications of rows (or devised rows with odd structures: "Tonal, oder Atonal"), but motivic relations, every note being thematic, was his prevalent goal.
I've never seen so many technical difficulties with a sound system. Wonder what caused it?
thats incredible not to mention that hes blind
Superb recital - thank you very much!
Thanks.
Le maître de l'univers
I first knew his performance of this piece in the 80's, when he recorded it in a LP, and almost 40 years after it's the best rendition in my humble opinion.
