Essential Lesson on Major Scales for Guitarists.
In this video I demonstrate 8 fingerings for the C Major Scale. It is not a lesson on modes. This is perfect place to begin your journey into playing guitar. Each fingering is movable, they all start and end on the root note (C). Simply play the same shapes (fingerings) beginning on a different note and you’re playing a different scale. Take your time and learn each shape in every key. Once completed you’ll be able see the entire fretboard as the any major scale you need.
