Thanks for the comparison I just bought eureka and now I feel dumb 88films looks better overall and the HDR is killer but in 20% of the shots I like the eureka blue tint more as I think it fits more with the vibe of the film Will probably stick with my eureka as my wallet is empty now with so many releases. 😂

I want it but the cost is killing me! Nice upgrade .. saying that I’m sure I only watched the Eureka only once!!! 😮

Man Called Tiger was great till that long ass gambling scene. Literally no one cared about. But it’s fun as hell till it runs out of steam there.

It's crazy that this still doesn't have a US 4K coming down the wire -- here's hoping that Kickboxer 4K means a Bloodsport 4K US version is on the way!

I'll stick with the Eureka, I like the vibes of the cooler colours. Both good options though, way better than anything we had before for these films.

Both look good! This is an expensive one to double dip, Eurkea! is fine for me at these prices.

Blue tint vs gold tint. That being said, the HDR on the 88 films is doing wonders!!

I’m guessing that the restoration by Celestial contains frame cuts and is scrubbed of grain. What are the running times on each?

For the older generations like me this are great films. There is so much 70's wipe in it makes me remeber my childhood. Yes from a modern point of view they are a little cheese but you have this although in much action movies from europe or usa from the same time. And important they where done after the dead of Bruce Lee in the period of the basher / block and punch movies ( always the same story if you have seen 5 of them you saw them all ) and this movies are different. In 1976 when Shaws and other companys started the shapes style fu with more complex choreographie everything changed.

Id love to see The Double Crossers...im a big Chen Sing fan....also RIP Lee Hoi Sang

Hey guys we are getting the FSY 1&2 on UHD 4k this year from 88films. I can’t wait I haven’t watched these since over 20years ago because every dvd release has been horse crap with weak poor fight sound effects and crap music and a crap boring probably US English dub. This new release will have all the original fight sound effects and should have the original score and international English dub 🙏

I used to have this on VHS, which I think was part of some Wu Tang collection. I don't remember those burned in subtitles. Can anyone else verify this?

Tchao Pantin is so damn good and that 4K restoration looks stunning. One of my favorite releases in the last couple months. I've got the Radiance Eighteen years release sitting on my shelf and after watching this I am really excited to watch it. Great work guys.

Thanks for the video, Tchao Pantin is one of my favorites. I can't remember it being explicitly said, but it is heavily implied bensoussan and the gang are algerian, or at least maghrebi. It also makes sense thematically, as lambert was a cop, who in France have a reputation for killing algerians.

The ending theme "The Shape of Wind" by Yoyo Shum (daughter of Hong Kong actor John Shum) is beautiful. This 3 year old track was integrated beautifully going into the end credits and Soi Cheang handpicked this song. The movie itself was said to be more of an adaptation of the original novel, not the comic book.
