Looks like a lovely resort and seems to be pretty reasonably priced by todays standards for a quality resorts. The map shows the preferred club rooms are at the back of the resort (ie furthest from beach) is that the case?? Did you feel preferred club was worth the cost?? Are there any open air or ocean view restaurants?? Some videos show liqour in the room and some don't. What was your experience?? Did you find this resort good value for $?? Thanks so much!
@@spinedoc893 the resort is beautiful reasonable for the price and everything with the preferred package the rooms are right across the beach easy walk way from the preferred side Worth the cost the open ocean view restaurant is in the preferred area Italian restaurant /preferred breakfast also that’s wen you get the best ocean view liquor come in the room with this package it is a little pricey, but it’s worth it
I saw your video from Secrets/Dreams Royal Beach how would you compare Lopesan to those?? Lopesan looks beautiful but reviews seem to vary dramatically.
@@spinedoc893 lopesan is a beautiful resort. What I find with Lopesan is that you’ll never run out of things to do every day is something new activities concerts etc different placed that are open at night with secrets and dreams after the third or fourth day, you’ve done everything that’s why I always recommend preferred if you go to secrets
@@Lucexcellent22 Are the food/drinks comparable? Also I've heard people complain that at Lopesan if you book the adult only section that it doesn't really feel like adults only. Did you find that??
@@spinedoc893 the drinks are better at secrets the food pretty much the same I had more of enjoyable time eating at secrets adults only at lopesan only at the adult pool section that I felt it was adult only
@@spinedoc893 which ever one you decide to go to you and your family /friends will have a good time
This seems to be one of the better value for $ Secrets properties and I love this area of Bavaro beach! Any thoughts on whether preferred club is worth the extra $???
I agree the Bavaro beach is excellent clear water clean sand preferred is a must at this place you will have full access of both resorts dreams and secrets witch are beside each other and you get the amazing preferred section and the amenities
Do they have floaties ?

@@SkyWandererz thank you, I took off from my balcony early in the mornings, so nobody would be around and landed back on my balcony

@@charliejg secrets Royal Beach is a beautiful place. I suggest you go there. preferred club is a must You have full access to everything plus the resort next door which is dreams royal Beach

It’s a really nice place. I recommend getting preferred then you have access to everything in the resort plus next-door, which is dreams royal Beach. They have an amazing water park slides
Was there 10 day. Just arrived back home to Switzerland today. It was absolutely AMAZING!!!!!!

What was the evening entertainment like?
Entertainment was pretty good. They had many concerts of Madonna, Tina Turner, Michael Jackson, etc..

Everyone keeps saying this is their favourite resort but the food is bad. How can it be a favourite if the food isn't good.

Hi Valentino, just about to book this place for Dec 2nd (2 weeks) & seeing things like night shows moved from theatre to club room, no daily entertainment team & things looked relatively quiet at the pool area. We are 40 and looking for a place with a bit of liveliness so just hoping your trip is going well & it is the place for what we’re looking for? Thanks Warren

One of most beautiful resort I go, soo nice but even with unique....food was average ( buffet) and service medium. Still mexico have better food ,service and most staff speak English..
I WOULD NOT RECOMMED THIS RESORT AT ALL, WE JUST CAME FROM THERE . THE SERVICE SUCKS, GOT FOOD POISENING AS WELL SO DID THE KIDS, SUPPOSE TO BE RENOVATED BUT HONESTLY THERE WAS MOLD IN THE ROOMS. THE ONLY GOOD THING I HAVE TO SAY IS THAT THE GROUNDS ARE THE BEST IVE SEEN AT A RESORT.
Omg we got food poisoning at our last resort we stayed in the Dominican. Not good.
I also got food poisoning at Lopesan and bad service

@@apahuj for real and when you tell them the food made you sick, they just say "oh that too bad for you" and laugh in your face, no apologies or anything..

How was it?
It was so perfect, so beautifully landscaped/designed and the aroma of the resort is indescribable. Booked Unique and had a very attentive butler named Andres who went above and beyond. Jose at the Unique breakfast and lunch was phenomenal as well. I had wiped off DR since my last visit in 2009 which was horrible but this has changed my mind. Your video really helped @@alice3548
