Based on a book. The real movie its based on came out a couple years back. The book is the original source and was wrote in like 1898? Then there were multiple movie/tv adaptations in the 1900s. And THEN we got the Tom cruise movie that was a recreation. The Tripod idea was one of original designs, there was also flying saucers with lasers beams. So this mod is based loosely on a recreation of a adaptation of the book.

Someone unfortunately revealed this to me. the facehuggers don’t implant embryos. They implant *cancer cells* that eventually become the Xeno embryo, which is why removing the chestburster before it emerges still kills the host.
