I had a PFA on 8/29/2024. I am female, 64 yrs old, & was suffering from Paroxysmal A-fib since Jan. 2024. I arrived at South Miami Hosp., FL, at 10AM and was discharged at 7:30PM, and eating dinner by 8PM. I was able to completely discontinue my Amiodarone (which had messed up my thyroid) the day of the surgery. It was an awesome, painless procedure and if necessary/required, I would absolutely hands-down repeat the procedure! I had ZERO complications and feel like a new person. NO PAIN AT ANY TIME DURING OR AFTER PROCEDURE!!! I would highly recommend the PFA procedure. BIG shout-out to South Miami Hosp. Electrophysiology Surgery Dept. staff!!! You’re the BEST❣️

Had a PFA yesterday (7/25/24) and am feeling great. I live in Florida and had it done at Blake Medical Center, Bradenton. Very smooth process!

This great info...but it has me in a quandary!...I am scheduled for an RFA in about a month...but this PFA situation has me wondering, if I should postpone the RFA for a set period of time, until PFA shows up in my locality?...It seems the superior procedure...my Ablation doctor has already said that I could be needing a 2nd go-round if the first RFA does not have a good result!...and when I briefly mentioned PFA, he just kind of shrugged and told me that he only does RFA for the immediate future.

Is His bundle pacing specifically used for av block? How about SSS and chronotropic incompetence? During pacemaker implant with lead in the his bundle with a narrow qrs captured, what would cause later on a wide qrs from the his bundle pacing? Also being patient had Pacemaker implanted for the SSS and chronotropic incompetence, what change after 3 years would cause ventricle (his bundle) pacing?
