Finally got my 1:32 when I was following you. You motivated me to be more aggressive and the car held in corners where I thought it couldn't.

Yeah, it’s my “weekend cruiser” aka “tinker car”. Very different. You can feel the weight difference and all the inputs are just different. Not worse or better, just different. It’s fun to take it out and stretch the legs a bit though!

I think you got a slow kart. Your lines are good and your driving is much smoother than when I drove there. I was easily able to get a :59 so it's just unlucky on your part

GoPro Hero 10, with the regular suction mount. I don’t think I had the Media Mod on, but can’t remember at this point. It was mounted inside the car with both windows down.

It was the alternator.
Nice lap. My best so far is 143.44 in a 2016 Miata Club with the Brembo package. Does your car have the Brembo package? I got crazy brake fade the first time out. I then switched to Motul 600 racing brake fluid and had no fade in 2 20 min sessions.
Brandon Preston No, I have the regular brakes. I need to swap to a better brake fluid and I'm looking at my pad options. It's still fun 😁
Steven Tellman I can't complain about the Motul, especially for the price. I had zero fade this last session. I'm going to test a porterfield R4 track pad at some point. I went the route of having a track set and a street set so I don't burn through my street pads as quick.
That's so cool. I just went from salinas which is next to Monterey to san antonio to corpus christi then back in December. 25 hr drive straight through to san antonio Another 2.5 hours from san antonio to corpus. I went Dec 11 to 22 in my 16 miata. 27 hour shot back home as I rested more going home.
what should you have done to prevent the spinning ?
Kamui〈:-D More gas I think, to swift the weight to the back. It's just my knee jerk reaction to put the clutch in and hit the brakes, which kinda makes it worse, haha.
was the mx-5 in front of you stock ?
Kamui〈:-D Stock motor, but with sticky tire, Koni sports and Flyin' Miata springs.
Hi, what do you mean by overheats ? motor, brakes ? Love the car informations overlay, what do you use to do it ?
Kamui〈:-D Motor overheats. Radiator is just too small for track work in Texas during the summer.
Steven Tellman thanks for your answers :) But, how can u see that the car is overheating ? i tried one of these and was surprised that there is no temperature indicator for the coolingwater on the speedometer !
Kamui〈:-D It's in the upper right of the display with an icon that looks like a pole with three flags on it. The app I used was Harry's Lap Timer in combination with the Automatic OBD2 adapter.
