The War Waged Between AI and the Human Spirit #shorts
Over the past 3 years - I have thought a lot about
the Human Element.
Since September of 2022,
I have taught Creative Professionals
how to understand and integrate
GenAI in their Creative Workflow
while retaining the Human Element.
As my good friend Josh Cavalier said,
"The beauty of integrating AI into our work is that it complements what we already know. When you are ready to dive in, AI will be more accessible, user-friendly, and tailored to meet professionals exactly where they are."
AI is an amplifier.
The Human Element (all the LIFE experiences that have shaped who you are, what you know, your WORK experience and PERSONAL perspective) is the full embodiment of... you.

    The video description is misleading. What you described as "Music producer notes" does not have anything with music production. Asking AI to create you music based on copyrighted material is not music production.

    • @theBrianSykes
      @theBrianSykes 5 дней назад

      The "Music producer notes: Detailed instructions on how to recreate the sound of classic radio jingles for platforms like Udio and Suno." is very much on point with what was done. Note the details... 'how to recreate the sound of classic radio jingles.' Nothing misleading there!

    • @Pixel_Track

      @@theBrianSykes what i’ve meant is that what you described as “music production” is not music production. You would not call yourself a music producer if the only thing you did is asked ai tool to “create” some generic soulless combination of sounds.

    • @Achaa2

      @Pixel_Track you give the tool instructions and ir produces music, but its not music production because you are used to a fixed way of producing music lol People are really getting mad at AI just because it can do cool things...

    • @Pixel_Track
      @Pixel_Track 5 дней назад

      @@Achaa2 do you understand why people are getting mad at AI "just because it can do cool things"? In short - people dedicate their careers to get really good at at something, whether it is composing, drawing, design and so on, and than AI bros are like - you don't need any knowledge whatsoever, here is a couple of buttons, just press it and you will get the result. Screw AI, and screw those who does not understand what damage they are causing. I am glad that at least for now the result of AI music is complete garbage.

    • @theBrianSykes
      @theBrianSykes День назад

      @Pixel_Track - but you DO need knowledge, and coming to the AI platforms with insight sets you ahead of the rest. AI is an amplifier. It simply brings to life the ideas the Art Director instructs it to produce. In this, I am just showing the rough “how to” so people see the step-by-step. I personally play trumpet, saxophone, a little flute, guitar and piano. I also sing and can read and write music. Doesn’t make me a producer, but I can bring skill to the task. AI brings more of you to the production. Yeah, some of the latest AI adventures are a step behind, but not for long. Those who understand the language of photography, painting, music production, sound design, architects, etc - will find that their hard earned skills are VERY valuable in AI. After all, it is a language based system.

      @theBrianSykes 8 дней назад

      Midjourney will create 'great looking images' with a minimal prompt. The problem then - is consistency for story. A more in-depth prompt following this structure, will give you greater control for an image series, or images as part of a collection.

    Very interesting and great at explaining, but I have a question. Are the 6 final images consecutive? Let me clarify: once the first one is created, when making the second one, in addition to changing part of the prompt, do you also use the first one as an Image prompt or Style ref or Character ref?

    • @theBrianSykes
      @theBrianSykes 8 дней назад

      Great question @stefanotramer1195 No, I did not have to use a --SREF or --CREF to maintain consistency. That is done by maintaining the same prompt and only adjusting token words to shift angles, subjects, etc. You can use a --CREF in the case of making the character consistent - but I only used the one prompt to see a front facing character.

    • @stefanotramer1195
      @stefanotramer1195 7 дней назад

      @@theBrianSykes Ah, okay, the problem is that I would like to use a character for a series of photos (which I then turn into a video), but from what I’ve read online, it’s quite complicated to have the same character in different poses and expressions in MidJourney, even if you use `--cref`. This is because MidJourney tends to maintain roughly the same perspective as the photo used with `--cref`. You would need to intervene in an editor... or use multiple poses, but for me, that’s quite challenging.

      They were. The poem is mostly made up words that Lewis Carroll used. Many of his 'made up words' are what Carroll described as 'portmanteau words' (a phrase he coined). A portmanteau is “a case or bag to carry clothing in while traveling, especially a leather trunk or suitcase that opens into two halves.” Carroll took that and applied it to words, and a portmanteau word is a word that has been made by blending two words together. Think brunch (breakfast and lunch), smog (smoke and fog) and spork (spoon and fork). Examples in his poem - frumious (a mix of fuming and furious), slithy (lithe + slimy), galumphing (gallop + triumph), frabjous (fabulous + joyous) and mimsy (miserable + flimsy)

Even with "every person a photographer" with the advent of a SmartPhone (and large pixel cameras in your pocket) - we still needed the eye, the composition, the lighting, and the know-how of professionals to take the intentional portraits. Don't gauge the sell/value of your services based on the speed of output, the manner it is achieved - your VALUE is the STORY, the STRUCTURE, the nuanced DETAILS that people would not think to include. The complete connection from A to B with visual storyboards. Sell the solution. Provide the solution. Give the thing that others do not...

      Seems I have gained a fan. Glad you decided to watch and leave a comment. Technically, RUclips doesn't care if the comments / views are in frustration or excitement - but that's okay. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week!

    Can I use this tool to create graphic novels ? Like a comic book but for a story such as the one in your demo? Please share any ideas to help me

      Yes, you could. It would provide you with initial images but you would need to download the images and compose them in some other application.
