Spent a week in the ICU and a week in recovery this year, didn’t sleep at all. They’d wake you up in the middle of the night to run tests or do blood work. Shit was stupid. How am I supposed to recover when you won’t let me sleep?

8+ surgeries- can confirm!!?? OMG even announce/screamed for personnel to answer phone calls every 5 mins...not to mention nurse's scream-talking to patients constantly

I got 0 sleep in the ICU for sepsis. Stop the bright lights directly in my face, loud staff and lots of noise. I BEGGED to go home
