Brunswick Magnitude 055
Просмотров 3407 лет назад
The Magnitude 055 provides easy length through the front of the lane, with an aggressive mid lane reaction on oily lane conditions.
Brunswick Tenacity
Просмотров 8 тыс.7 лет назад
The Tenacity offers the most skid/flip to date from a Brunswick release. On oily conditions the Tenacity skids easily through the front part of the lane, then makes quick, strong motion when it meets the down lane friction. If you want a ball to look good and turn the corner, this is the ball for you.

Brunswick Mastermind Einstein and Brute Strength on 32'
I just got one of these. Bowled for the first and second time in decades over the past couple months with house balls. First time was not bad (with a 190 game in there), second was not as good as first. But it was enough to whet my whistle. So I did it, bought the ball. Just got it today. First throw: strike. Game score: 203. The ball is utterly predictable, with good enough hook. I am quite satisfied!
Hey what are your thoughts about the Rhino vs a Raw Hammer Solid/Hybrid/Pearl for the bottom of my bag? My current arsenal is: Quantum Evo Solid, Bigfoot Hybrid, Hero Solid, Raw Hammer Solid, Rhino Pearl, Umotion and a White Dot for spares. I also have a Conspiracy Solid and a Conspiracy Pearl in my garage. I'm a lefty who likes to play down and in with a rev rate in the low 300's and ball speed between 14-16 mph. I feel like I might have some overlap with my current bags. Also if you see an area that I'm missing anything please let me know. Thank you.
I miss this ball
Awesome! I still got a Rhino Pro T2 Ball. It's a Relic but it still does good.
It is a good solid ball.
you still bowling?
Is this a ball review or a humble brag?
Great ball on when the lanes become cliffed. Usually will use 2nd or 3rd game of league if I start to see more friction on the outside. And remember dont be afraid to make surface adjustments. Also another great dry lane ball is the twist.
Have you made any surface adjustments to this ball? I am just curious as to how they worked for you if you did. Thanks.
@@davidholloway68 used the p5000d pad on a ball spinner and it's an awesome ball for house shots. I personally would recommend the Twist and then get the igniter for when it's a little bit more wet those two bowling balls will cover you on majority of League patterns. My league Arsenal is the twist, radical Counterattack solid, and the ignitor solid
@@davidholloway68 bowled League yesterday with just the Brunswick twist and averaged a 186
Best ball I ever had
I love this ball. Still using it in 2020
I just purchased the 2019 black, red, gold pearl Rhino. I have a 16 pound T2 Rhino, but I'm going down to 15 pounds. I have always had great success with my Rhino and I cannot wait to get my new one. I also have a Brunswick Twist.
Twist is very underrated. When I go practice during the day and if for some reason there's no fresh oil on the lanes from that morning I will end up using the Rhino or the twist
@@alfasmurfen if you haven't got one yet, I recommend you do. It hits like a beast.
This is a great ball! Rolled 838 with it right out the box
I finally got myself one. It’ll be here tomorrow. Can’t wait to drill it. I was waiting around for a 15 or 16 pound undrilled Radical Inferno to pop up but they’re rare as hell and I don’t think I’ll see one for a very long time. I’ve done a lot of homework on this ball and it seems to be a high scoring ball. It looks badass too. That’s always a plus!
I got the same ball but I have better finger tips
Better finger tips..... 😂
What color is this ball

Spent lots of money on high performance balls only to get disappointed by their erratic reaction to lane conditions. This ball so far is fabulous! Does exactly what you expect it will do! Doesn’t over react, goes exactly where you throw it! Rolled a 215, 206, 218 on house conditions right out of the box in my community senior league. Many thanks to Mike and Al from Carter’s Pro Shop for suggesting this this ball!
I just ordered the magnitude 035 I like the fact that it has a similar motion to my danger zone but it's a little bit stronger on the back in then the true motion
Looks pretty smooth. Would you happen to know how this compares to the Edge Pearl?
For me, the 035 Pearl gets further down the lane than my Edge Pearl. I can use the Edge Pearl on a large range of conditions, and tend to throw the 035 Pearl when the lanes are dry.
@@tgwbmckee thank you. I'm very rev-dominant, and I'm looking for something to start with on my house shots, but still want that back end snap.
@@tgwbmckee I've been using the meanstreak beatdown, but I tend to not be able to keep it to the right. I loved the original meanstreak, but didn't realize the difference when I bought the beatdown. Thanks for any help. I've been enjoying going through your videos. Love the Brunswick line.
Did you keep the out of box surface
Robert Sneed yes sir.
Did you have your ball drilled pin up or pin down and when do you prefer to use this ball during league bowling first second or third game
Robert Sneed I have my Tenacity drilled pin above the bridge. On our local house shot I am able to use it from game one until the last frame of the third most of the time. It allows me to make moves inside with my feet and my eyes, while continuing to make a strong motion down lane.
Thank you so much Brunswick for making a fantastic product of the Brunswick vintage Inferno blue flame Limited edition bowling ball. Today I was at West’ys Garden Lane in Garden city Idaho. I bowled 9 games with it. My scores were a 279 280 300 251 240 236 279 260 236 with a total series of 2,385. And a average of 265. I truly love this bowling ball from Brunswick. The Brunswick vintage Inferno blue flame Limited Edition bowling ball is one of my favorite bowling balls in my Collection.
This is not a good ball to me hooks to far to the left at the last minute just a bad hook especially on dry lanes
It's a dry lane ball
damarius huey do u even bowl... cuz u don’t know ett ur talking about 😂
Guys I've watch most of the VDZ videos and most of the Rhino's.. Read all the reviews and I just can't see a difference. I'm 65 and just coming back after 30 years. I'm thinking a 14# ball to save my shoulder. Will I see a difference?
Bullwinkle43031 What bowling ball(s) are you currently using, and what type of ball reaction are you looking for compared to what you currently have?
What's your take on this ball? Does this core and cover match well or does it seem like a shot specific ball?
From what I have seen so far, the Blue Flame has the predictability of the Vintage Inferno with a little extra pop. I believe it would work well on multiple different medium and lighter patterns.
Im looking for a ball for some what of dry conditions looking more to play the lanes front to back instead of hooking it having trouble picking between this and the btu pearl ... I don't use my thumb ... Particular bowling alley I need for I think has a shirt pattern out and when im playing in if I miss a little in it's trough the face but it has a out of bounds area also it's go to the point to where I just screw it and only time I hit the pocket consistently is when I stand right and use my spare ball
Michael Mcsmith the Rhino is great for lanes with more friction. If it is still too "jumpy," you can rough the surface a little to calm the reaction.
tgwbmckee so u would say this is a better buy over the btu pearl im still thinking about buying both but for my first buy as if today you would say get the rhino over the btu pearl first
That's tough. The BTU Pearl is a little smoother over all. Have you seen my BTU Pearl video? ruclips.net/video/M9ssQEWNxlk/видео.html
I know it is an older video but I find my quantum fire to be a bit too early even with surface changes and have seen a few situations lately where I needed a very clean reaction on the front and enough continuation to play tight break point downlane. Do you feel this ball would be a good fit for that?
Christopher Patrick, I think the True Nirvana with the same layout that you have on your Fire Pearl would provide you with a cleaner look through the front part of the lane, with a sharper motion off of the friction. I have a "smoother" layout on my True Nirvana, compared to my Fire Pearl, and it is still more angular. Let me know what you think if you get the opportunity to compare the two.
I literally am buying this ball today. Cant wait. My Motiv Rebel Tank hooks a bit too little, Radical Ridiculous Pearl hooks a bit too much. This should be a great benchmark on my fairly dry house lanes.
Mike Beans, the BTU pearl has been great for me when I run into a lot of friction on the lanes. It's very clean and maintains energy very well.
Had SUPER dry lanes last night. The BTU pearl was perfect for them. I couldnt keep my Ridiculous Pearl on the lane but this was awesome for dry. Really happy I bought this ball. Thanks for the videos
Mike Beans that's awesome!
NICE FORMAT, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
This may be the best ball review I've ever seen. Very nice to see how the ball rolls on many different patterns and hear some good explanation of what to expect.
Great job brother
to the "dislikes" on the video. I apologize, I will try to be more careful at work so I don't have to sit out for 4 months ever again. ;)
nice job
Antonio Escalante thank you
I like the 11 pin strike at the end!!!
good videos....do you think you'll ever review radical equipment?
Charles are there any specific Radical balls that you have in mind or are wanting to see ?
awesome job
Antonio Escalante thank you. I'm editing the Edge Pearl Video right now and should have it up in the next few days.
awesome job
Great vid
darroch133 thank you sir
Nice video. I really liked seeing the Fanatic after the Strategy. I currently throw the Strategy and have been looking to pair it with the Fanatic.
Chad Lamb thank you sir.
great vid. I threw the Danger Zone when I was 15 in 96 and after taking 15 years off from bowling I'm just now stepping back into it. I just got the Vintage Danger Zone but I found the thumb was drilled way too small so I need to get it opened up a bit. can't wait to test it out again tonight after it's adjusted.
The vintage Danger Zone is great. It is very predictable, and allows multiple drill options based on the bowler's specs! Let me know what you think after you have the opportunity to send it down the lane a few times!
tgwbmckee I love the ball!
Wht is the original cover stock ?
What was the layout on this ball?
mythoughtsarefreedom 45 × 4 1/2 × 25
Strongest ball ever u think?
CleSwag24 the Absolute is beastly, providing a better angle to the pocket than the original Nirvana with more energy. And if the Absolute isn't enough ball for you, the Radical Cash will fill the gap.
do you know what your rev rate is? my shot looks very similar to yours.
grygrskls I believe my rev rate is around 350, as of the last time it was checked.
I just purchased this ball hoping it will hold the lanes better. I currently throw a Blue Hammer urethane and have a hard time keeping in on our notoriously dry house lanes. Looking forward to seeing how it will perform. Your shot looks very nice....
How is your Rhino working out for you?
Unfortunately, it doesn't do very well on dry lanes. The Blue Hammer is the best ball I have ever rolled, and I have been bowling for over 50 years........
+charles pease I can see why you prefer the motion of Urethane on dryer lane conditions. Based off of what you stated, you may prefer the Fanatic BTU. It is modern day cover technology, with a urethane motion. However, there are a few things I would like to ask/suggest to help you get the motion you are looking for with the Rhino. If you would like, email me at tgw.b.mckee@gmail.com or PM me on FaceBook.
I had to make surface adjustments on my Rhino to get it to do what I wanted to do also if you're playing very dry Lanes The Twist is highly recommended as well
Will this ball work well on the typical house conditions? I'm planning on getting it. Sometimes my home bowling alley has slick conditions and sometimes even dryer than hell.
When there is more friction on the lane, the Rhino is a great ball. For me, I can use it on our house shot, as long as I keep my angles straight and stay near the friction on the outside of the lane. Usually between the first and second arrows.
tgwbmckee Okay because in my center the conditions depend on what time I arrive. Sometimes the oil is fresh and other times it's not. Like most house conditions, the outer part of the lane has a decent amount of friction. The reason why I'm going with this ball is because it won't overeact. My release is similar to that of Pete Weber with a lot of axis tilt. Well further questions for my pro shop operator.
+Stuart Alvarez If you haven't checked out the Fanatic BTU, that ball is great on dry conditions as well.
tgwbmckee Well Urethane was what my friend had initially suggested, but I wanted a ball that would give me control on both fresh and dry conditions. I haven't checked that one out but I was initially thinking in the Pitch Black by Storm.
+Stuart Alvarez the BTU actually is not urethane. It started with the same base cover as the Absolute Nirvana prior to the additives. It absorbs oil, with the feel of a urethane ball.
I have not polished it yet, but it has a little lane shine. I've been bowling on house conditions and haven't needed to adjust the surface yet. If you liked the original Nirvana, you will like this ball even more. It is stronger overall, with a predictable midlane read. The ball goes through the pins well. It only deflected for me when I got it to the friction too early on the lane.
Did you polish it all? What do you think about the midlane and storage of energy?
Looks to have a predictable and smooth motion.
Any shots on a short sport pattern?
I currently do not have any video of the BTU on sport shots. I have used it on multiple house shots and it allows me to get in a similar area on each of them. If I have the opportunity to shoot some video on a shorter pattern, I will post a few shots. With the clean, continuous motion of the BTU, I will be using it on patterns like Cheetah, Wolf, and Viper.
here are a few shots on 36' ruclips.net/video/HiPUFlpa1a0/видео.html
+tgwbmckee thank u for posting. Looks very controllable. When you do get around to throwing it's on cheetah, please post a video if at all possible.
The Melee line matched up with my game very well. I always had at least a Jab and a Cross in my bag. The Fanatic has now easily replaced my Jab as the first ball out of the bag.
where do you feel the Fanatic fits in the current line? I need a little more ball than a Brute Strength but i don't need to step into a Braniac or Einstein. I also feel like the cover on the Melee Hook might be a little too strong
what drill instuctions should i follow with this ball the Asymmetric Short Pin Layouts or the Symmetric&Asymmetric layout
