WOW Greece is such a heaven and all foreigners look to grab her for she is the country of LIGHT and she gave light to the world so I just can't imagine someone born there would want to stay in America especially. ccccooooollllllddddd New York and in the summer you sweat like a dog even after you come out of the shower. YOU still have to go to live under AC. The dry weather I can take not the dampness of either cold or hot. Fall is nicer in NY because it was cold when I was a kid. but anyway I was the opposite and I even wrote a song and I express that I was born in a corner of the world I do not belong. My heart and soul goes to Greece and my family is there. I missed out on growing up with my cousins and only saw Greece from pictures and on TV and envied all those who talked about visiting Greece and I couldn't go at the time. I was 23 when I went to Greece for the first time and now I plan to go forever!!!!
its heaven. I am 3rd generation but I feel that my soul was born there I belong there and I want to live there no matter how much people tell me other wise. In fact the more they say you can't live there, the more I want to live there!!!! If your GREEK in your HEART you can't take the GREEK out of me. NO WAY!!!!!

When making the documentary don't translate the Greek parts please. It is very painful to see our language die due to ignorance and monolingualism. At least put subtitles.

Wow my grandmother was born in Pennsylvania. her family were migrants from Asia Minor and when they moved to NY they owned an apartment on 2nd ave. There use to be a school or a park that is no longer there. Mom was born in NY the heart of NY but all Greek. Asia Minor specifically Constantinople but there was also family from different areas and Pondos and her dad from Mani Sparta. Then my dad's mom was from Mani also and a real Spartan and his fathers family also had from Asia Minor but also from Volos
I believe that the Greeks of the Diaspora in America carry all the stereotypes and have tried over the years to keep the Greek culture so much that with the passage of time it has become something so ridiculous and in some cases they are cartoonish,I think the majority in Greece sees it that way. I make this comment as a Greek living in Greece for over 25 years.
Μετακομίσεις στην Ελλάδα και έμεινες στην Αμερική; ρωτάω επειδή έχω το ίδιο υπόβαθρο. Συμφωνώ με το σχόλιο σου. It is ultimately language that holds any culture together.
I'm half Greek and I've been to Greece 3 times. My mother was born in Brooklyn but they returned to Corinth, Greece at 6 months old and returned to America at 8 yrs old, so from her I'm second generation. My non-Greek fathers side has been in America since the 16-1700s. Our mother never taught us Greek which was a disadvantage when I visited Greece. I grew up out west so the Greek community is small and scattered. I find a lot of Greek Americans are leftist liberals which I'm not. My late wife was a white native American mix. I never lived around enough Greeks to date Greek women but my late Greek mother was an awesome mother and my late non-Greek father was also awesome, they made a good team. I consider myself just American but I do embrace our Byzantine heritage. I dislike these non-Greeks, like English, who try and claim Byzantine heritage. I go to the Antiocha Orthodox Church in nearby Tucson, Arizona
leftists because even in Greece it was that socialistic party that got me mad at some of my cousins. How can you vote for anything socialistic communistic. Did you know the communists were worse even than the Turks ?
You should do something about Greeks in America that are isolated from other Greeks and culture. Tucson an hour away has a few Greeks but I still identify as Greek or half. I've been to Greece 3 times and Istanbul/Constantinople. I personally prefer to identify as an. American with Greek ancestry but my other half has been America since the 16-1700s.

As a Greek Australian I can say that it’s exactly the same thing down under. New York = Melbourne Astoria = Prahran in the 70’s and Oakleigh today
I thought greeks were smart, till i heard, most r trumptards,
