Don't get disheartened by a bunch of hurt fans, that never learnt to deal with their emotions in a constructive manner. It's reletable to be sad, disappointed and even angry about the percieved sleight of being withheld a third book. I feel the same, although mostly just disappointed. But it is a very big misconception of a large population of fans of any piece of art or entertainment to think they are entitled to a next entry in a series. Who gave you that right? To be fair, I know nothing about Patrick Rothfuss and franky I don't care. Maybe he indeed is a piece of shit sitting on a pile of money laughing at his fans right now. Still doesn't give you that right 🤷

Just have to add my thoughts… My friend made me read these books because he wanted to talk about them. I’m sure there is a fan base for them, but OH MY GOD 1000 pages of nothing happening. Like, 10 chapters about playing music at a bar for no reason. Just not for me. My friend liked them. Seems like other people were into series. Had to watch to see what you thought and why you liked it.

How any adult can enjoy this book is beyond me. It feels like the author is nostalgic about his Harry Potter school he wished he attended. So if you an adult and tired of having to read about 14 year old kids taking on the world, then take some advice. Malazan book of the fallen

As long as the actor is capable of portraying an entitled dickhead who's xhildhood trauma never comes back into play and descends into a murderous sociopath because what else could be a "character arc" for a perfectly perfect legend whos so legendary that your unledgendary ryes couldnt possibly und3rstand the perfect perfectness of our main character (except that he has anger issues!
