Did you try the dif lock? Just kidding😂
What a great looking machine!!
Caterpillar es la máxima potencia, está hecho para ser imparable...
👍
Awesome video!
Thanks! Turns out I had clipchamp on my computer. It worked well once I learned how to navigate it.
My view is it's faster to drop some and go with what it would pull, while the other machine did the same. Stockpile it at the top if the landing is still a good ways off. You move more wood and abuse the machine less by running fast and light.
👍🇺🇸
Caterpilar c'est vraiment autre chose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!........................ C'est fait par des gens qui '''''savent et font bien''''
That's the trouble you regularly take have when you don't have a 635d. Having to use two skidders as one gets old real quick
i doubt the 635 would do any better
@@garystamour9817 Have you ever watched cottontop3? His 635d can pull 40 thousand pounds, twice as much as a regular skidder, over 3 quarters trailer load. Many of his videos show the 635d pulling up steep steep hills fully loaded, very impressive. If I was in the logging business, I would gladly pay the price of a 635d to get the job done, instead of the headache of having to link two skidders together all the time. The problem with the 4 wheel skidders is only having 4 wheels for traction, not weighing enough for the tires to dig into the ground and under powered engines, the 635d solves these problems.
New to the brands in the forestry world - what is the blue and white machine at the end of the video chipping the limbs?
Whole tree chipper
I need that at my house!!! It would be awesome to make a trail through the woods for the grandkids!!! Save the big trees and remove the junk.
Just curious why you don’t notched a tree before you start putting your wedges in in a direction you want it to fall?
It was notched. Video starts with second bore cut establishing my hinge. I was trying to keep the video quick that's why I didn't show the notch being cut. We wound up pounding wedges a lot more than I had hoped!!! But we got totally lucky to get the trees to fall at the exact same time.
Don Kellenberger When I was hand falling I only carried one wedge with me and hardly ever used it because I’d have to cut a stick in the woods to use for hammer My best day in the woods skidding & limbing it was 8 semi loads It had been about the perfect woods and the limbs on aspen trees just about all fell off in the trees were fell so it made it easy limbing I remember the temperature that day was -22 below zero Back in my younger days I would imagine my average was about 5 back than a day Before we switched over to the chipper and flail it was a bad day when the Limmer went down then we had to hand limb the trees
Looking great. How big of a tract is this?
Good morning it was about 65 acres
what chemical was it????!!!!! need it now
Safari, you can find it on Amazon. Be sure to follow all rules and regulations with the chemical
@@kellenbergerexcavating6441 wow that was just after a day? How much did you use for a gallon sprayer?
@@misspiggy9647 don't recall specificlly, directions will come with the chemical. Follow closely
