The room was fitted with Motionspot wetroom fittings, who were consulted during the design phase of the hotel. There is a case study (link below) on the Motionspot websi...

Hi Everyone! In our first-ever travel film we explore all around the picturesque county of Kent whilst staying at the Caravan and Motorhome site, Black Horse Farm. A big shoutout and 'Thank You' to our friend Andrew, who not only gave us the support and confidence to give this RUclips thing a go, but for being a second camera operator for some of the shots you'll watch in this film. Andrew has ...
It’s a pity you didn’t take the cable car to Pic du Midi de Bigorre, near Tourmalet (altitude 2877 mètres) You would have seen a stunning observatory built in 1873. You can go there for a few hours during the day , or you can book in advance an evening visit (in summer) and the astronomers will explain the night sky to you. And by daylight, you have the most amazing view over several hundred kilometers of the mountain range. Next time maybe?
this is really fantastic news
Great tour - thank you. What a great room
Thank you Tanya! It was fantastic. 😁👍
Thank you! I've seen many blog entries - nice to see a video!
Thanks for watching Josh, I’m pleased you liked seeing the video. 😄
Well done Brooklyn Hotel, so good that a business is thinking about the needs of its customers. Thanks for showing us around, I always enjoy your videos and your enthusiasm.
Absolutely - Hopefully more hotels will see this and follow suit, they’ll open themselves up to way more customers! Thank you for watching, I’m really pleased you liked it. 😊
Excellent presentation! I appreciate all your videos.
Thank you Erin, that’s very kind of you to say. I’m pleased you enjoyed it! ☺️
I feel SO thankful and inspired by your video! There is MORE hope for me! 😊
I'm so glad our video has helped - Thank you for your nice comment! 🏕️
Hey folks, such nice videos but am quite curious as to how your Tow bar works with your VW WAV Transporter..? Looking for a similar setup but I can't fathom out how the Rear WC Ramps can work if there's a Tow ball stuck there in the way. Any advice or tips? Thanks in advance.
Hi there… Thanks for asking about our WAV and for your nice comment about our videos. I’m so so sorry that we haven’t got around to making a film about our WAV tow car yet. It’s one of our most frequently asked questions and we’ve been meaning to show everyone in a video but just haven’t had a chance yet! Keep an eye on our channel and hopefully we will make this soon for everyone. In a nutshell… we have a rear hydraulic wheelchair lift combined with a portable ramp which we use to get Karla out of the side door when we are hitched up to the caravan. Our towbar is removable/detachable which means that we can remove it when we aren’t towing to allow for the lift to be used. I hope this answer makes sense… Please feel free to email me anytime using our hello@adventurewheels.co.uk email address if you have anymore questions! And sorry once again we haven’t gotten around to making a film about our WAV yet! 😊👍🏕️
Hey this is the first video I watched of you guys. Is she non-verbal?
Hi there… Thanks for watching our video and I hope it gave you a good first impression of us! Thanks for asking about Karla’s speech - She has recently developed something called Vocal Chord Paralysis. This means she is unable to speak above a whisper and therefore tricky to hear her on film, it’s not a usual thing to develop with her disability, it’s just really unfortunate. I’m sorry I’m so terrible at remembering to mention it at the beginning of our videos, I plan to mention it more in the future! If you’re interested to read about her experience with it, there’s a link to an article she wrote on our website here: www.adventurewheels.co.uk/news/speechless-my-vcp-diagnosis Thanks again for asking! 😊👍
I really wish I had your travel budget.
Pretty amazing!! Thank you for sharing this. Cheers from Brazil!!
So happy to see a new video!
Thanks Josh - so are we! Hopefully we will have more to share as the year progresses. 😁👍🎥
@@AdventureWheelsUK I shared it on my accessible travel community, Tabifolk. Would love to have you two join!
Thanks for sharing it Josh, we’ll have a search for your group. 😁👍🏕️
Wow what a fantastic region and stunningly presented. Never thought of going there, but that’s just changed. Thank you very much.
Thank you, Jutta 🥰 We highly recommend heading over that way if you like mountains and waterfalls 😍
Thanks for sharing guys. We will note them down for our next trip to France. Hope your both well?
Thank you both ☺️ Have a fabulous time if you decide to visit!
Fabulous video - thanks for sharing your journeys and those places to visit. What a beautiful part of the world.
Thank you, Tanya - Glad you enjoyed it! It’s a breathtaking area 😍
That looks like a spectacular adventure! And, what a great home base you picked. How many days did you take, going from England to your base campground? Did you find any special things (food/drink/etc) in France that you particularly enjoyed?
Thank you, Erin ☺️ It was a stunning location for an adventure! We crossed the Channel to Calais and stopped off at 3 sites on route to the Pyrenees - Just south of Calais, in the Loire Valley, and then the Dordogne. We personally found this a good pace for us to travel without getting too fatigued. Haha Stephen is a big kid at heart, so his favourite French thing to stock up on is their fruit cordial/squash 😂
@@AdventureWheelsUK I have friends that own a vacation house in the Dordogne region. They post lots of pictures on their long visits and I have to say that is a beautiful and historic region. But, the Pyrenees is definitely more my sensibility!
Wow! What an adventure, sometimes you just need to soak up your surroundings and appreciate what you see. Thanks for sharing your top 5, really enjoyed hearing about your trip ❤
Thanks, Ann! 🥰 We still can’t get over those views 😍🏔️
smart🙂
Cannot reach microwave nor stove from wheelchair. Accessibility means person in wheelchair needs to be able to do tasks by themselves!
This has been well thought out to ENABLE independence inside the ?chalet. Rather than just creating further dependence issues for users. Bathroom great. Bedroom leaves a lot to be desired though. Would of liked to have seen more of the kitchen and living room though.
Disabling! Microwave too high. Needs c carer for pretty much everything. Designed by people who are carers and for people who THINK they know what is really needed. Why is no one else seeing these glaring problems
Hi Lorraine ☺️ Every modified caravan or motorhome that we show in our videos has been bespoke designed for the user, so in this case the microwave height isn’t an issue. If you wanted a lowered-height microwave in yours, I’m certain that wouldn’t be a problem.
This is not conducive to any type of independence for a disabled person. Maybe ok for a carer for child!
My wfe is fully disabled and we think its great. could be getting one next year. If you watch the video properly it says they will build it to your own specification.
you have a side door on the left but in europe you would get killed by cars on the other side not a good idea .
Impressive presenting and truly informative. You two have made me realise what I’ve been missing and more importantly that it can be done. I look forward to seeing your old and new posts, it fills me with joy.
Fantastic! I have a disabled friend and I'll send him this link. Indeed, I didn't know a disabled access motorhome was even possible. Thank you!
Thank you Della 😊! We’re really happy you found our video. Thanks for helping us spread the word. 👍🏕
@@AdventureWheelsUK - it popped up on my RUclips feed (I have watched far too many Van Life videos lately) so thank RUclips cookies for suggesting it!!
@@AdventureWheelsUK My pleasure to do my little bit to help!! Keep up the great work!
@@della7You are helping More Than you know! I’m still watching and waiting till I can do similar! God willing! ✝️🙏
Hello I have a limited budget of 5 to 6 thousand pounds do you know of any 4 berth caravans single axle for sale I just missed the sprite alpine at that company thank you
Would love to try one of these someday
Love it - wish there was more!
You guys do such an amazing job. Thank you!
Thanks Josh 😊👍!
Some fabulous equipment and companies out there to help people enjoy their Caravan and MoHome adventures. Thanks for sharing.
There sure is! Thanks for watching Colin. 😊
Great vlog guys. The bathroom in the escape Motorhome was great and we may have a look at changing ours to that design with the shower seat.
Thanks you two 😊! The motorhome had a great layout. 👍
Hello from the west coast of Canada. We really enjoy your videos - thanks for making them. 😀
Hello Canada 🇨🇦!! Thanks Rob, we love sharing this sort of thing with everyone. 😁👍
That’s amazing! Just proves that ‘dis’abled isn’t quite the right word 🙂
What a fantastic Caravan. 👍
Brilliant loved the show 👍
Good viewing as usual and a great inspiration to us all what ever abilities people have
Opens up a hole new world of enjoyment for wheelchair user's and folks with mobility issues, well done all.🤔💕🇬🇧
These vans are fantastic! Do you offer suggestions to them as to how they could improve them even more?! The motorhome was the best I thought for innovation and the use of space especially the bedroom and bathroom area! I could listen to you all day Stephen and read Karla's writings all day too! A great combo you both make! Really enjoyable, I loved it! xx
Amazing! And you are so professional!
Amazing! Great job Adventure on wheels. How much can a Cavavan like this one cost? Can we rent it?
Hi Carole. Unfortunately we don't know anywhere that hires out wheelchair accessible caravans or motorhomes, but we'll be sure to shout about it if we find somewhere. The best place for pricing info on the cost of these conversions is the Coachbuilt website - www.coachbuiltgb.co.uk Thanks for watching 😊
Really interesting watch both!!! 👍
Some very clever adaptations, hats off to the engineers and designers.
Yes absolutely! They do an incredible job 👍
I liked your videos very much right from the beginning. But you’ve become even more professional with this one. Congratulations 🥳. The adaptions both on the caravan and the motorhome are really impressive. Liked the caravan a tiny little bit more though.
🥰 Thank you Jutta! Brace yourself though, there's still some footage that I've not edited from last year, so it might get worse again before it gets better 🤣!! We totally agree, the adaptions are amazing - We'd also prefer the caravan, but that's just our favourite way to travel at the moment. 😊
Kate seems lovely and certainly knows her stuff.
Kate is lovely! We're always blown away by their depth of knowledge, not just on leisure vehicles, but the adaptions side of it too. 👍
Great video. Thanks.
Adaptation. What an interesting question.
Just seen you guys on Channel 5 so i thought i woukd subscribe! We have our own channel at "betty our campervan" if you wouldnt mind subscribing, like and comment 👍
Absolutely fantastic. The adaptions made are such a clever use of space! Excellent video guys and thanks for sharing. 👍👌
Pleased you liked the tour Gareth! Thanks for watching 😊👍
Some really useful adaptations there, It is brilliant that you show us around and ask the really useful questions sharing your experience and knowledge of accessible caravanning 👍
Thanks Ann 😊. It was our pleasure to be able to show people around, and it certainly helped having Kate involved to say all the clever stuff that we don't know!! 👍🏕
Thanks for sharing. I enjoy seeing the adapted vehicles. They seem to get space from nowhere. Graham
Thanks Graham. I love how casual they are about moving a bed/washroom, but it's the best way to do it sometimes! Pleased you liked the tour 😊👍
