I made it to part 1 of you talking and I watched porn instead. Inspiring commentary American.
Escape from Los Angeles more like it.
A while ago I watched them back to back. I'll have to do that again soon.
Not worth watching
Awww...but it's a cult classic and part of childhood. It's funny, when I mention a classic movie and my wife gives me a blank stare I have to see what everyone else thinks. Thanks for posting!
Happy B-Day Kurt Russell and "Escape from New York" was/is one of my classic Favorites.
Growing up it was one of my favorites. I need to watch it again soon.
Thanks! 👍🏾
so bad were are the good writers and directors ughh Ive seen better 80's B movies
Appreciate you leaving me a comment. What are your favorite 80's B movies?
✨WEREWOLVES!!❤️💙_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Thank you for this concise explanation of my 1/2 hour rant after watching this movie on Lifetime…HBOMAX.
Truly a work of cinematic artistry, while being, at the same time an informative, credible history lesson about our American culture and musical heritage.
It was such a great time capsule of a film, wasn't it?
Nosferatu could’ve been about 50 mins shorter imo. Some of those scenes just dragged
That's the tricky thing about atmospheric movies-they often have a more methodical pace, so I totally get where you're coming from. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me! 😊
@@ReelPete if I ever watch it again it’s gonna be at 2x speed with subtitles. Couldn’t understand Bill Skarsgaard’s Orlock at alllllll. I only stayed cus it’s beautifully shot but this movie was frustrating to get through pace wise 🤣 for my impatient ass anyway.
@@TheKacklinKraken 🤣🤣🤣
Eggers brought a real, deeply penetrating exploration into the trope of the Vampire that has suffered under a century of cliches from movies. The final image alone goes to the heart of the pre-Christian folklore from Eastern Europe. The fusion of pestilence, somnambulism and erotic longing were never stronger. I loved it.
I’m not sure if you’ve seen Heretic, but that film delves deeply into interpretations of religion, which feels parallel to the evolution of the vampire genre. Over time, reinterpretations have arguably diluted the original lore, making it all the more refreshing to see a film return to its roots. This dedication to authenticity really stood out to me. I truly appreciate you sharing your thoughts on this!
@ I did see Heretic. I also found the exploration of religion really interesting.
This is the second very positive I have seen which I absolutely agree with. I was literally blown away by this movie. But neither of you mentioned how the music informed the political times as well, not just a shift in music. Missile crisis, JFK assassination, civil rights, stuff was going down. This movie also did due diligence in capturing all of that as well. So many things to praise here!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! You absolutely nailed it-this movie truly stands out from other rock biopics because of its focus on the era and the cultural shift. That emphasis took the film to a much deeper and more meaningful level, which I absolutely loved! I really appreciate you taking the time to share your insights. 😊
I loved this film from the technical aspects to the acting. It's one of my favorite films of 2024
I need to do a rewatch in the theater. I know I missed so much when I was basically in awe of the visuals. The movie is hypnotic.
Sad my country doesn't have real 70mm IMAX. So yea kinda jealous
Honestly if you get a chance to see it in a theater again it will be worth it.
@ReelPete if it's not in 70mm IMAX what's the point? Nolan films need to be experienced in real IMAX
It was entertaining but ridiculous at the same time. They must have needed a tax write-off. It isn't good.
Appreciate your thoughts and your comment, my friend! It's a lot of things but sometimes we just a need a movie like Werewolves.
Horror or action movie. ? Werewolf movies should purely be horror .
This is a great debate. Thank you for commenting. For me, I love when movies cross genres. What's your thought on Aliens? Action or Horror? Alien was horror, Aliens to me was more action.
Was this like a warning for the next video, or was the idea of editing it giving you a headache? I'm kidding, merry Christmas and all that fun jazz. Can't wait for a video about them.
Hope you had a great Christmas!
@@ReelPete You too, man, I hope Christmas was at least some kind of okay, I had Chinese food so no complaints here!
It was surprisingly funny too
I absolutely LOVE genre-bending films like these. I thought it was hysterical. Thank you for you leaving a comment.
I thought was awesome. I would go see it again but it's not playing anywhere near me anymore. I will be buying the Blu-ray when it comes out.
Love it!
I was a 12-year-old boy who had lived in the sticks for most of his life, cool sticks dairy farms and stuff, but not the point, at that time I couldn't very well understand what all the hubbub was about. I knew the computers could crash if it happened, and all the things the computers did would stop, but we are talking about a 12-year-old back when the internet was new to the area code. Sadly I didn't see this one yet, my nephew did. He liked it, but I don't think he could understand what the movie had gotten wrong, and I didn't make him explain the whole movie to me, he would, however, if I let him. When I was in my early 20s, I knew a man in his early 50s who used to do BASIC back in the day, still uses BASIC to keep the scanners that make the billboards you see going down the highway, working. Anyway, I got to talking to him about Y2K, and he got to talking about how he was part of a support team that would check to see if important computers would crash. I think the guy was/is an engineer of some sort. Anyway, he said some computers had been effected, and others could have been. I never hear about what he told me, and I doubt he was making it up. I think they had been, like, old factory computers from the late 60s or early 70s that had been kept running because they were still good at saying "1" or "0" really fast and controlling some kind of machinery. I think some of those dinosaurs had issues. Like I said, I haven't watched the movie yet, so I just wanted to talk about one of the strange things about Y2K I heard from a trustworthy source.
i have no doubt that we ran into a lot of computer issues that nobody talked about, I would have rather seen a movie about that. This movie is just a goofy monster movie parody.
Love it!!!🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much! That really means a lot!
I needed to pop in and say something. Your thumbnail makes it look like you're pulling your shirt up over your long belly, and are displaying a movie over your happy trail. There is nothing wrong with this, I'm not making a joke at your expense, but that thumbnail, I don't think is what you're going for. The movie on the projector is about the same color as the skin on your arm, zoomed out it looks like your belly.
HA! Now I can't unsee it. Seriously, I really do appreciate the input and recently was thinking of rethinking my thumbnails. Appreciate you leaving a comment!
Just saw Interstellar in IMAX at the Irvine Spectrum Regal theater. The sound was amazing!
I loved how my chair rattled! Incredible experience.
I watched it in the same theatre! Glad I didn’t miss it cause this was quite the experience.
Interstellar is definitely my favorite movie in history. I need to see it in imax
@@U_S_A-freedom I loved feeling my chair shake!
Only watched it last week lol
Me too! What did you think?
Amazing 😍
Thank you!!! You made my day!
Anyone ever told you that you look like David Arquette?
Never, but I'll take it. I wonder if people are now going up to David Arquette saying, man, you look like the movie guy on RUclips! HA! Thank you for the comment!
I really loved this movie. I had a great time watching it and I would recommend it to anyone who doesn’t mind the mature content. This definitely was a story about real love vs superficial love!
Right?!? As of now, I believe it's my favorite film of the year. Thank you for the comment.
This movie was awesome 😀🥳🔥🔥💯. The Critics don't know what they talking about 💯💯. Werewolves was super awesome, love my Werewolves 🐺🐺🐺❤️💯😀🥳
Yes!! Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It was a ot of fun! Check out my full review at ruclips.net/video/mPRxChMncZw/видео.html
It’s a fun movie I liked how they changed up the way a person becomes a werewolf. Anyone could turn finally the werewolves seem to retain some semblance of intelligence.
I would love to see a big budge of year one! All the Werewolf carnage! Check out my full review of Werewoves here: ruclips.net/video/mPRxChMncZw/видео.html
Ridley Scott unknowingly loves to ruin the legacy of all his old classics: Alien, Blade Runner, Gladiator... Guy needs to leave his old work alone. Wrecks everything. He's not the young(er) filmmaker he once was. Interesting how artist types get worse with age. Everyone from directors like Scott to writers like Steven King to rock bands like Aerosmith to actors like DeNiro.
It seems like Ridley Scott often tries to get philosophical with all of his intellectual properties, and sometimes it feels like he should have just left them as they were. I agree.
I felt that wicked was better because than gladiator because of one scene and thats the defying gravity scene
Totally Agree. The 3rd act is fantastic and it was a perfect way to end the film.
Fingers crossed that it's entertaining and fun!
The studios or producers don't give Steven a lot to work with but he's so great at making movies with shoestring budgets look big. His Director of Photography Brandon Cox is fantastic as well. I'm looking forward to tonight.
The trailer for this movie had my full attention. It looks too good to pass on. Definitely going to see it when it comes out 🤘
Fun Fact, Steven C. Miller cut the trailer as well. It's something he loves doing. I think this is just gonna be wild fun!
My favorite movie ❤
Go Irish
GO IRISH!!!
It was nothing of this. Too much talking, not dialogue but rather talkative like a Brooklyn jew on his first date.
Thank you, thank you. Absolutely respect your thoughts. Thank you for sharing. In a filmmaking standpoint what he accomplished is hard to do and Kieran was fantastic.
Anora was so good! One of the best of the year, top 3 for sure. It starts off as a Pretty Woman rom com, but goes off the rails in such wonderful ways. That ending scene seals the deal. Awesome storytelling!
Absolutely you nailed it. You and I are on the same page. I love the movie.
Go irish! Funny enough were having chicken breast too ☘️
YUM!!! GO IRISH!!
Well said buddy!
👌werewolves 🎉
I understand the context but the overall narrative didn’t connect with me.
Looks awesome go irish
GO IRISH!!!
The food looks delicious! Enjoy the game!!
I can’t do it. I do love horror, but gore for gore’s sake has never been for me. I’m much more into dread and atmosphere. Agreed that it’s wild an independent movie has had so much success though. Good for them!
This tipped the toe over the line for me. For us who are interested in the series are watching him push boundaries. The question is how far will he go or when will it feel redundant. I do respect the art of it.
Because between David Damien and rob zombie we can get the freak show carnival worker dying and coming back to life by the crow as a big movie for theaters and people will love it as much as the Brandon lee movie
I’m excited to see how he is going to get us back to the 9th circle well David is art grinch and Mickey I would love to see David and Damien and rob zombie do a crow movie together for theaters
