Zoe - Living Sea Sculpture review in preparation for Hurricane Beryl Cozumel, Mexico
On July 2, 2024, biologist Adrián A. Morales G., video-documented the state of Zoe before Hurricane Beryl hit in the following days. Fortunately, Zoe and the adjacent Villa Blanca Reef tract was not hit badly and it is wonderful to see the coral colonies populating Zoe. On the other hand, summer water temperatures are starting to increase now as we enter August,, causing first signs of bleaching this year and water treatment and pollution need to be addressed to give the reef ecosystem a fighting chance against smothering algae and diseases prone to spread in conditions advantageous to them and devastating to ocean health.

Guys are those scratches in the Camara?
Hi Night Snorkel Cozumel. Thank you for asking. The scratches are on the glass globe around the camera. It appears some minerals built up on the glass when the wiper had a malfunction. The wiper then would drag the loose minerals across the glass, causing the scratches. We're looking for a way to repair the glass or raise the funds to replace it.
Living Sea Sculpture that’s what I imagine, I’m not in cozumel at the moment but I have dive many many times near Zoe’s sculpture and I would love to contribute to the cleaning no the glass dome, do you have someone in town to whom I could talk with ?
