My life goal is to become a person with multiple skills, you know, a renaissance woman. This channel follows my journey as I work to become my channel name :) I will post weekly videos on statistics, paint lapse, books, lifestyle, projects I'm currently working on, and ins and outs of my daily life. I hope my videos and experience can help, entertain, and even inspire you to pursue your passions with courage and grit as well :)
Multivariate Repeated Measures Analysis Part 2: Profile Analysis #StaySafe #StayHealthy
Do celebrities like Shakira, Donald Trump, and Dr. Phil value power, money, appearance, and intelligence in the same way and equally??? To answer this question, Profile Analysis is your best friend.
This video is the 2nd part of the 4th video of my 10 part multivariate statistical analysis series. Part 3 will be on Doubly Multivariate Repeated Measures Analysis (for multiple outcome variables with repeated measures). If you find my videos helpful, please like, subscribe, and share my videos!

Multivariate Repeated Measures Analysis Part 1: Linear Mixed Effect Model #IAMBACK! #AtHome
Просмотров 7 тыс.4 года назад
Hello everyone! I'm back! This video is the first part of the 4th video of my 10 part multivariate statistical analysis series on using Linear Mixed Effect model to analyze datasets with a single outcome of interest where the outcome is repeatedly measured. Part 2 and 3 will be on the topics of Profile Analysis (for multiple outcome variables with single measures) and Doubly Multivariate Repeat...
Sounds of Birds Chirping In A Marsh - 1 Hour

1 hour of birds chirping and other nature sounds near a marsh to help you clear your mind of stress and bring the simplicity of nature into your home :) #Hygge #Nature #Birds
Multivariate Statistical Analysis Part 3: MANCOVA (with R Demonstration)
Просмотров 12 тыс.6 лет назад
This is the 3rd part of my Multivariate Statistical Analysis video series on Multivariate Analysis of Covariance (MANCOVA). MANCOVA is a method for looking at if the means of the multiple outcome variables between each group (specified by the group variable) are statistically different while controlling for a covariate which can influence the outcome but is not of study interest. Multivariate Statistical Analysis Part 2: MANOVA (with R Demonstration)
Просмотров 26 тыс.6 лет назад
For this video, I will give you the background theory and perform R demonstrations for one-way and factorial Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA). MANOVA is used for comparing mean vectors containing the means of multiple outcome variables between more group variables with more than 2 categories. It's the multivariate extension of the ANOVA. For more details of the 4 Statistics: onlinecou...
Multivariate Statistical Analysis Part I: Introduction and Mean Comparison (with R demonstration)
Просмотров 34 тыс.6 лет назад
For this seminar, I will take you through a general introduction of multivariate analysis and perform an R demonstration of a simple multivariate analysis: mean comparison.
When the Manova-function in 'Car' is used with type-III SS, the order of the predictors (Depth + Contour vs Contour + Depth) does make a difference when intercept is removed by '-1'. How if intercept is left in the model then the order of appearance doesn't interfere with the model estimation.
for some reason, the ICC function did not work for me . When I ran :ICC(pt[,5:11]) This is the error message I got : Error in initializePtr() : function 'cholmod_factor_ldetA' not provided by package 'Matrix' What do I need to do to get this resolved. I have installed the psych package.
Thank you very much for this tutorial. Have you already made the video on Doubly Multivariate Repeated Measures Analysis (for multiple outcome variables with repeated measures)?
Thank you very much for this tutorial. I still have a question: how can I test the assumptions on a long-form dataset? I am asking this, because in the other video you tested the assumptions on a wide format dataset.
thanks for wonderful vedio.Would you please tell how to test assumptions for factorial Manova and if assumptions failed how to address that In r?
Send me the slides kindly
Share the pdf notes you are using kindly
I've read that testing for normality is not very useful because for large sample sizes the tests are too sensitive to small deviations, while for small sample sizes they are not powerful enough to detect deviations from normality. Is there a reason why testing for multivariate normality works better?
I wonder which post hoc technique should follow.
Does anyone know a way to test type 1 MANOVA? Unfortunately this command only accepts type II or III
Thank you so much! Really helpful 🙏
What kind of birds???
I'm enjoying practicing my Native American flute with this! Thank you!
Thank you so much for making this tutorial. I found it extremely helpful. Please can you show how to use MANOVA function in jmvcore package.
Excellent work!Please let's see a posthoc test, preferably DMRT/TUKEY.
Great videos Thanks! But I found real life data, especially large sample size (thousands rows) are very hard to meet the normality assumption. What else should I do? Is there a non-parametric alternative to Hotelling T2 test?
Hello @renaissancewoman What you been up to???
Hello! Thank you so much for this video and the script! Would you indicate a literature reference for the Partial Eta-Squared Values calculation? Thank you!!
This is actually very informative. Thank you for the organization and step-by-step approach. You have a gift for teaching.
Hmmmmmmmm, SO u Recorded A JET Just Passing Through, EH ?? 👎👎D I S L I K E👎👎
Thanks for the video. It’s very helpful. I have a question about the output of lm() modeling at 50:28. Why can't we see 0-10 Depth category in the coefficients output whereas it is present in the dataset. There are just 10-30 , 30-60, and 60-90 in the output? Thank you.
Until the jet plane shows up....sorry.
Your explenations are awesome and u helped me a lot! Could u publish the literature and books which u used for this and the following seminars? I am writing my bachelor thesis and the used literature would help me a lot! Thank u
为什么有中式口音……
Is there any book to go through.. What you are teaching here.. Would be very useful..
When are we hearing from you. It's been long we got a new training video. Your training videos have been very helpful.
Interesting topic but I am going to stop listening after a fifth of the video as it is not nearly loud enough even with a Bluetooth speaker. Maybe I'll come back if I find perfectly silent surroundings. Please consider sound levels when recording future videos. Thank you.
Thanks fir the explanation There are an error in the interpretation of the model summary, variabletest3 is the difference between test 3 mean test 1 mean not as stated in the video. If you want to have results as described you need to use Helmert contrasts
This video is really is a must-see for anyone self-studying multivariate analysis. Hope more excellent videos can be uploaded soon!
Excellent lecture! Looking forward to your next video!!🌹
How does the 4 test statistics of one-way manova vary?
Thank you sooo much for your videos!! Are you still planing to post the others? I'm finally understanding multivariate statistical analysis with you. Please, could you share the rest of the 10 seminars? Thanks a lot
Great video! Keep posting
You are a massive legend! Great job!
Great tutorial, however I suggest you add a few NA's to your data which would reflect more real world scenerio
Very helpful video. Did you share the R code somewhere? Thank you.
Very good tutorial! Thank you. When would you plan to upload the other parts of ten-part series? I look forward to more post.
Your videos are very clear. Thank you so much for uploading
Incredible tutorial!!! Thank you!
I like your video, it is very clear. Thank you so much
The sound! It is just not loud enough
Manova() function is part of "car" package and not "MASS" package. Telling this to save someones time if they are running on errors with trying to only work with their own data like me.
I had not seen your comment. I spent a few minutes looking for the MANOVA function in the mass package😅
Your video is really useful, compared with other youtubers! Hope you can make more video about statistics!!!
Thanks a lot for your explanation, it is very useful. You should post more often, I really like it. <3
I will! I got 10 more videos on my list this year. 🙂
very helpful! thankyou
it is a good topic but i suggest you to add mulitivariate probit regression model topic in your presentation
I am trying to do the third scenario of multiple outcomes and multiple measures. Hope to see your next video soon!
Muchas gracias!
Does this only work when the dependent variables are of the same type? (in this case, attitude). Or can I also use this to compare different dependent variables? And another question: does this analysis only work when there are two groups of equal size?
The dependent variables can be different and the 2 groups don’t have to be equal size ☺️
Please can you help me for write master degree
