Camellia Ling Aebischer
Австралия
Добавлен 19 июн 2012
Hello, I'm Cammie, short for Camellia.
I'm a former food editor who has dedicated my career to the culture of eating, drinking and cooking at some of Australia's biggest names in food media. I grew up in Australia to Swiss and Chinese parents who taught me that good food doesn't have to cost a lot.
I'm currently on a trip across the Silk Road spanning China and Central Asia and can't wait to take you along with me.

Staying in a Chinese YURT & Yugur food tour in Gansu | Silk Road
This was one of the most memorable parts of our Silk Road trip so far.
Arriving in Linze I was nervous that regional China would become more challenging to travel around, but we found the complete opposite. Locals were very happy to accommodate us and went above and beyond to make our experience seamless.
The yurt stay was so much fun, it's really worth making your way there if you have the time, it's only about an hour or so drive from Zhangye City. I could never have imagined such amazing natural wonders existed in the world let alone in China.
When you return to the city, I highly recommend staying at The Silk Road Traveler's Hostel. The owner speaks good English and has lots of great foo...

Lanzhou FAMOUS beef noodle soup & Hui Muslim specialty dishes | Silk Road
Просмотров 7894 месяца назад
Lanzhou is considered a small city by Chinese standards, but it's got a lot going for it. The downtown area is spread across a large strip from the high-speed railway station down to the Waterwheel Expo Park. Famed for its beef noodle soup, Lanzhou also has a lot of other great dishes to offer with its lively snack scene and Hui Muslim restaurants. Make sure you try some of the cold noodle dish...

The beginning of the Silk Road. Xi'an is a magical city, with such well- preserved culture and history city walls, you can enjoy modern-day amenities alongside stunning ancient artefacts. Locals and tourists in Xi'an really embrace their historic culture, with traditional Han dress making its mark on modern fashion, tourism activities and of course the food. Xi'an has a significant Hui muslim p...
Sichuan street food three UNIQUE snacks in Leshan | Underrated places

Leshan is only one hour away by high-speed train from Chengdu, and is easily accessible by China's high-speed rail network. There are trains almost every 15 minutes and you can either book ticket at the desk on arrival but I recommend using the Trip dot com app to book ahead of time, then just board using your passport. We travelled to Leshan for a day trip of eating. There are plenty of specia...
Yughurs is Uyghur Turk. I am also Oghuz Turk (Turkmen) from Turkiye. Our culture is amazing, beautiful and vast. That is our farthest and easternmost homeland.
It is so wonderful to experience! :)

Such a great watch camellia and rob. Want that flaky pancake and "the shovel" we're still laughing at that.
Unmissable and unforgettable

it would be so cool to see vegan foods (like naturally vegan or )accidentally" vegan) in China!! these videos are so amazing and i plan to visit and work once i finish my degree, and I'm so interested in veg options too 💓🥺😩
@@kamifaye thanks for the feedback! ☺️ There are lots of vegetarians (buddhism) in China and plenty of fun options! There are plenty of vegetarian items throughout my videos too but because I eat meat of course a lot of the meals include it
Awesome.
Thumbnails claim another victory.
"Our" first born
Great to know you also consent
Thank you for sharing ❤
So happy to be able to highlight this amazing region!
This should have more views.
So kind of you to say. Thank you!
A very informative, to the point and helpful review video 👌 Hope you can make it to India where you can review the sumptuous culinary extravaganza 😊..... 🎉❤
Thank you! It's on my bucket list that's for sure :)
鸡蛋醪糟 shouldn’t be translated to milk chicken, but something like fermented rice boiled with milk and egg.
Thanks for letting me know! This is how our translation app did it, but your translation makes much more sense!
Thumbnails are undefeated
Glad someone’s enjoying them 😉
I am Lanzhou native here to enjoy your video. Beef noodle soup is breakfast and lunch food usually, so most noodle joints are open til noonish/early afternoon.
☺️ so glad you like it! I have to return for more breakfasts
yes i would definitely try
🤠 great answer!
Amazing!
❤️
No. Not with gutter oil roaming around China. Best of Luck! Looks like you're having fun.
Much of what has been blown up on the internet as “gutter oil” is actually oil being recycled for fuel not for food. Re-selling waste oil attracts a lengthy prison sentence and can be punishable by death in China. Chinese people share the same desire for a happy and healthy life that we in the west do and it’s been a privilege to share these rich cultural experiences ☺️
How could you say no to that thumbnail
🤗
Which night market are u going Looks delicious
This was Zhengning Road Market ☺️
Hope to see you try the peking duck or roast goose. Btw, you are a close resemblance to actress Evangeline Lilly from the drama Lost.
Hahaha, what a fabulous compliment!
Love the way how your video is presented. Very entertaining and informative.
Thank you! I really appreciate that :)
Biang Biang... shot me down
So good it’ll take you out 😂
Chinese people don't really have a religion. That is if you can eat and like Chinese food, then you are pretty much Chinese already.
Hahahaha! So food is an amazing connector. I am also half Chinese on my mother’s side ☺️
I was born in Leshan, grew up in Leshan during my childhood, and then settled in Chengdu. It's quite interesting to see that in China, tourists go to Chengdu, Sichuan Province to find food, while Chengdu people's favorite place to find food is Leshan.
Sounds like I went to the right place to eat! The food was amazing you are so lucky to call it home. Such a beautiful and relaxing city ☺️
It looks good
It was amazing!
Happy hoildaying!❤
Thank you! Having a great time traveling the Silk Road :)
