Oh I agree, the spin RPM it great for water extraction, the large hotel washers do this to even more of an extreme, but theyre heavy duty commercial units designed for it, these home units aren't. I hope im wrong and you have the best of luck.

yambo59 You are wrong. Frontload machines are designed to cope well with high RPM's. Higher rpm models have better quality bearings too.

Maybe, but I still don't think theyre the quality of commercial machines, the number of front load bearing repairs on YT kinda shows that. But I agree a front load design in general is still better suited to high RPM spin speeds. I made my comment mainly because I was a mechanic for 34 years and know more than a little about bearings in general, higher the speed shorter the life, even a high quality bearings life is shorter at a higher speed. These washer bearings have the grease sealed in them, soon as the seal wears enough for the grease to run out the bearing is doomed, and higher spin speeds will shorten the life of the seals and soon after the bearing itself. Its always just a matter of time, conditions and frequency of use as well as abuse if many off balance events occur.
